The famed residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC, that is normally white in color, was turned pink last night in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a few photos of the (normally) White House bathed in pink light as a reminder to all that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month here in the US:

In Washington Tuesday night, First Lady Laura Bush flipped a switch which bathed the White House in pink light, a reminder that it’s national breast cancer month. “We’re showing our support of breast cancer awareness and research in a historic way. In recognition of the mothers, daughters, sisters and wives who struggle with this disease, we’re lighting the White House in pink which is the color of the cause. May our lights tonight shine as beacons around the world a signal of the United States commitment to saving lives for breast cancer.” Mrs. Bush then pressed the switch turning the White House pink.

I suppose it would be apropos to exclaim Pink is the new White House but I think it is vastly more important to remember the significance of recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We’ve learned time and time again that early detection of this deadly disease can save lives. The more women who are aware of the benefits of early detection, the more lives that can be saved. Thankfully, no one that I know personally has been affected by this disease and I hope that that remains the case. Last week we learned that 90210 co-stars Jessica Stroup and Dustin Milligan have sparked up a real life off screen romance together when Dustin was caught doing the walk of shame after spending the night before at Jessica’s LA pad. Today we learn that other 90210 co-stars Jessica Lowndes and Adam Gregory (who play Adrianna Duncan and Ty Collins, respectively) have also hooked-up together when they were spied engaging in a little shopping together here in LA earlier this week:

Now, just because Jessica and Adam spent an afternoon together shopping doesn’t necessarily mean that they are romantically involved … but there is some hand-holding going on in these pics and you will note that Adam is happily carrying Jessica’s shopping bags from Intuition — a sure sign that the couple are truly, madly, deeply in love with one another, yes? I gots ta say, I’m not really feelin’ Adam’s new facial hair … it’s not a good look for him and he should shave immediately, thanks! And how about last night’s ep of 90210, y’all? Despite the severe lack of any of the old skoolers, I was pretty entertained by the episode. I can’t say that I wasn’t expecting that cliffhanger but I am very intrigued to see how it will play out in next week’s ep.

New parents Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge have, reportedly, reached out to OK! magazine in an effort to combat the rumors going around about their relationship as a couple. This week’s issue of OK! features an older photo (taken during new baby Maddie Briann’s first photoshoot for the mag) of the couple behind the headline, I’m No Cheater … behold:

In a rare, exclusive interview, new parents Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge have reached out to OK! to defend themselves and their relationship against the tidal wave of rumor that has nagged them since the June 19 birth of their adorable baby daughter, Maddie Briann. A recent series of scurrilous tabloid stories have alleged that not only has 19-year-old Casey been unfaithful to Jamie Lynn, but that he’s also gotten another woman pregnant. The stories insist that the couple’s relationship is a sham and that he is still seeing other girls! On the topic of former friend Kelli Dawson, who claims to have been romantically involved with Casey, even after Maddie’s birth, he tells OK! these allegations of infidelity are “not the least bit” true. “In a small town, everybody knows everybody,” he explains. “But when money’s involved, you find out who your friends are.” As for reports he impregnated Kelli, a stunned Casey told OK!, “That’s news to me.” “That is just completely fabricated,” adds Jamie Lynn. “He never had an intimate relationship with her, so how would that be possible? Around here, that particular girl is known to make up stories.” And then there’s Whitney Seals, who supposedly romanced Casey. Says Jamie Lynn, “What happened was that one of those girls did it, and in this small town when one of them does it, they’re all like, ‘Good idea.’ They all jumped on the bandwagon.” The tall tales have taken their toll on the young parents. “It hurt me to hear those things,” reveals Jamie Lynn to OK!. “Because my family has to read it. It’s not fair to them.” Another factor making things worse is that the Aldridge family has been thrust unwillingly into the spotlight. “Casey’s family is not used to this,” the former Zoey 101 star explains. “They might assume it’s true. My family knows it’s not. It was definitely harder for Casey’s family to deal with it, but you just explain that it is part of this business.” The new mom says that her family has stood beside her through the entire ordeal. “They know if I were in a relationship like that, I wouldn’t put up with it,” she tells OK!. “My family supports me, and they support Casey also. They read those stories and take them with a grain of salt.”

Casey-Lynn is referring to THIS report from In Touch Weekly that published an interview with Kelli Dawson, who claims she had an intimate relationship with Casey Aldridge. Why the couple waited this long to refute Dawson’s claims, I’m sure I have no idea but at least they’ve spoken up at last. Well, I guess now that Jamie Lynn and Casey have finally denounced the rumors of infidelity, we can put that issue to rest …

… and move on to a new Casey-Lynn rumor to take its place. The National Enquirer is reporting that Jamie Lynn is pregs with her second child — say it ain’t so!

Whoops – she did it again! Teen Prego Queen Jamie Lynn Spears has another bun in the oven, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER is reporting exclusively – and her pals are begging her to abort. In a blockbuster world exclusive, The ENQUIRER has learned that the 17-year-old Zoey 101 starlet is now expecting for the second time – a mere three months after giving birth on June 19 to baby Maddie Briann. Jamie’s desperate to keep the shock­ing news secret and some people close to her are urging Jamie Lynn to consider ending the pregnancy, sources say. “Jamie Lynn is about eight weeks pregnant, and she and her mom Lynne are hysterical,” revealed a close source. “Neither of them knows what to do, but for now they’re trying to keep the news from getting out.” Too late. The unplanned pregnancy came as a shock to Jamie Lynn, who’d been breast-feeding her infant daughter Maddie Briann, insiders say. “Jamie Lynn believed she couldn’t get pregnant while she was breast-feeding,” said the close source. “She’d expected to have her period by early September.” A home pregnancy test came back positive and Jamie Lynn cried her eyes out, said the source. Her mother Lynne was livid when she found out, divulged an insider. Meanwhile, insiders say that those close to Jamie Lynn are urging her to abort! “They’ve reminded Jamie Lynn how much trouble she had adjusting to motherhood with Maddie, and pointed out that having a second baby now would only be a recipe for disaster,” said the close source.

Now, I must confess that The National Enquirer isn’t always the bastion of verity that they wish they were but they do get these stories right sometimes (just ask Sen. John Edwards). TMZ is sourcing an “unimpeachable source” that claims this pregnancy report is categorically untrue:

Three-month-old Maddie Briann Aldridge is gonna have to wait to have a lil’ baby brother or sister, because Jamie Lynn Spears is not pregnant, y’all! While several reports are claiming Jamie Lynn is preggers again, an unimpeachable source tells TMZ Britney’s baby sis does not have another bun in the oven.

To be honest, I would not be surprised if JL did get pregs again … if not now, sometime in the future. After all, neither she nor Casey has really proven to be the sharpest tools in the shed. I really do think that Casey-Lynn needn’t spawn any further but … I guess time will tell if either of them learn safe sex practices.

Angelina Jolie and sons Maddox Chivan and Pax Thien joined dad Brad Pitt for an afternoon of playtime at a 9th Ward Housing Project in New Orleans, LA yesterday. The fam did not let the light rain spoil any of their playground fun … here are a few pics of Ange, Brad, Maddox and Pax at one of the newly erected playgrounds in a reconstructed area of the 9th Ward:

The fam didn’t spent too much time enjoying the playground, in fact, the family didn’t spend too much time in New Orleans, LA overall. They have already packed up and made their way back to their new home in Nice, France. Here are a few pics of the entire Brangelina brood upon arrival in Nice this morning:

You may recall that the family made their way to NYC late last week and then to New Orleans a couple of days ago and they are now already back in Nice. I wondered if they were planning on spending some time back here in the US so I guess I got my answer … nope, they really only flew back to the US to take care of some biz in New York and Louisiana and, once completed, returned to their French estate. Well, it was nice having them back on US soil, if for a short time. I suspect they won’t be back again until duty calls once again.

Woot! After one day of availability on iTunes, Britney Spears’s new single Womanizer has already rocketed to the #1 position on the Top Songs chart. While Brit Brit’s legion of fans did their part to download the track yesterday, it’s clear that many folks had a hand in helping make Womanizer the top downloaded track in iTunes right now — holla! Here is a pic of Britney making her way into the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, CA yesterday afternoon:

I understand that Britters, in addition to lunching at the Chateau, spent part of Womanizer Download Day gettin’ her hair did at her favorite hair salon. You may recall that last year Britney’s song Gimme More also made its way to the #1 position on the iTunes Top Songs chart but it took her a little bit longer to reach the top. Womanizer was #2 for much of the day yesterday but by late last night, it surpassed T.I.’s song Life Your Life to take the top position. Well done! So far, Britney’s comeback is right on schedule … next up, the music video. Don’t forget, the Womanizer music video will be debuting on ABC’s 20/20 this Friday night. I expect that it will be available for download on iTunes shortly thereafter. Will Britney reach the #1 position on the Top Music Videos chart? I guess we’ll have to wait and see ;)

Entertainment Weekly magazine is reporting that Jason Priestly has agreed to return to the world of 90210 … but, before all you Brandon Walsh fans start celebrating, there is a caveat — he will be returning as a director, not as an actor. While Jason will not be reprising his role as Brandon in front of the cameras (at least, not yet), he has agreed to step behind the cameras to direct at least one episode of 90210. In more positive news for Beverly Hills, 90210 fans, EW also reports that Shannen Doherty (who just recently ended her 5-ep run on the new 90210) is close to securing a deal that will bring her back as Brenda Walsh for at least 2 more eps later on in the season:

Beverly Hills’ original side-burned heartthrob is back! Sort of. Jason Priestley has agreed to do an episode of The CW’s 90210 later this season, but you won’t see him — he’ll be behind the camera, working as a director. Sources confirm to EW.com’s Michael Ausiello exclusively that Priestley will helm this season’s 18th episode, which is slated to air this spring. Meanwhile, a 90210 insider also reveals that Priestley’s TV sis, Shannen Doherty, is nearing a deal to return for two more episodes later this season. Executive producer Gabe Sachs would only confirm that she’s “in talks,” but my 90210 spy insists “she’s coming back. The deal isn’t officially done, but it’s happening.” Might one of Doherty’s two episodes be the Priestley-directed installment? Sachs says that’s TBD. “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his [former 90210 costars], and it would also add something special to that episode,” he says. “But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.” A more likely scenario has Priestley bossing around his other leading lady, Jennie Garth, who’s back for at least six episodes — despite what the actress herself told Ausiello at EW’s pre-Emmy party last month. “That was a misunderstanding,” whispers a source.

Woot! Any news that involves of the BH, 90210 alums to return in any way, shape or form to the new world of 90210 is great news. Knowing that Jason Priestly is amenable to returning as a director means that he may be willing to reprise his role as Brandon Walsh … which may lure, mebbe, Luke Perry to return as Dylan McKay (who, whether he likes it or not, already figures very importantly in the new version of 90210 as Kelly Taylor’s babydaddy). I really don’t understand the hesitation on the part of the male actors from BH, 90210 that is keeping them from running back to reprise the roles that made them very famous but … mebbe they’re playing hard to get? In any event, I am very much looking forward to Shannen Doherty’s return later on in the season (I mean, you KNEW she was comin’ back). Now, if they could only figure out a way to get Tori Spelling back as Donna Martin … that would rule all. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we may, one day, have a great West Beverly High Class of 1993 class reunion, doesn’t that sound like the most awsomest idea ever?

Z100 in NYC brings us the world premiere of Beyoncé’s new single If I Were A Boy for our listening pleasure. Many folks assumed that the track might be similar to (if not a total rip-off of) Ciara’s song Like A Boy but I think that after listening to the track it becomes clear that the songs are not really that similar at all. Ciara’s single is an upbeat track, Beyoncé’s new single is a slower jam … check it out:

I think the track is a bit unexpected, I anticipated a more poppy, upbeat song … but I think I like this track. The lyrics (which you can read HERE) are interesting. I’m not sure if the link above will work for those of you outside of the US. If the link above does not work for you, click HERE to hear a shorter clip of If I Were A Boy that should work for everyone. I will update the links if they either stop working or if better ones come along. I’m not crazy in love with the song but I like it … do you?

UPDATE: Head on over to IHeartMusic.com to hear in full Beyoncé’s other new track Single Ladies. The song is much more upbeat, much more the type of song that I expect Beyoncé to release. I’m not sure if the site is authorized to offer the track so check it out while you can in case it gets pulled. Of the two, I think I still prefer If I Were A Boy … which do you prefer?

UPDATE 2: Pink reader Lizette enlightens that If I Were A Boy is a cover song! Singer/songwriter BC Jean already wrote and recorded the track, you can hear her original version HERE on her official website or HERE on her official My Space profile. Um … WTF?! No offense to BC Jean (who wrote a really great song) but why is Beyoncé covering her song when, as a self-professed “legend”, she should be writing and recording her own music? Anyone?
