Honor Marie Doesn’t Like The Paparazzi

Here are a couple of ADORABLE pics of Jessica Alba taking her baby daughter Honor Marie on a little shopping excursion to Maxfield over the weekend. As you can tell, it appears that Honor doesn’t like being photographed and she stuck out her tongue in protest:

Oh yeah, she is deffo her mother’s daughter. My guess is that Honor will inherit her mother’s distaste for paparazzi attention … she’s got the tongue sticking out already down pat. Irregardless of whether or not the little darling grows up with Jessica‘s crabby disposition, you just know that she is going to be the cutest little girl ever. Look at those cheeks!! Soooo cute ;)

Behold the 'Parade of Gold'
Michael Phelps Receives A Hometown Hero’s Welcome

All hail the conquering hero! Michael Phelps was honored with a hometown pride parade in Maryland this weekend that was thrown in his honor. Pink reader Kerstin, who attended elementary thru high school with Phelpsie, was gracious enough to send in a few photos of Phelps from his parade (snapped by her dad) this weekend. Here are Kerstin‘s fun pics and some info about the Parade of Gold:

Thousands lined the streets of Towson, Md., Saturday afternoon to welcome their local Olympic heroes home, led by best-athlete-in-the-universe Michael Phelps. The Parade of Gold down York Road honored Maryland Olympians, Special Olympians and Paralympians. But the star was Towson’s Phelps, the swimming phenomenon and 14-time gold medalist. Mr. Phelps, 23, grew up a stone’s throw away from the parade route in the neighborhood of Rodgers Forge. He trained at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club under Coach Bob Bowman and attended Towson High School. Towson boasts itself as partially responsible for his massive 6-foot, 7-inch wing span and ability to consume a whopping 12,000 calories a day while competing, not to mention his unmatched speed and stamina in swimming … Fans who had only seen images of Mr. Phelps on Olympic coverage, SNL, or the cover of Sports Illustrated caught a glimpse of the real thing as he rolled by in an open-top Hummer, shaking a clutched fist of victory. Swimming medalists Katie Hoff and Jessica Long were also spotlighted in individual cars while the remaining Maryland athletes greeted crowds from a flatbed float. Towson pulled out all the stops to make the Parade of Gold spectacular. Included in the parade were Ravens cheerleaders and mascot Poe, the Orioles Bird, marching bands from Milford Mill Academy, Loch Raven, Parkville, Towson and Dulaney High Schools, fire engines, antique cars, cultural and community groups and more … Mr. Phelps’ mother, Debbie Phelps, waved to fans, stepping out of the car occasionally to hug old friends. “His mom was a member of Phi Mu. Once a sister, always a sister,” said Becca Leder, a freshman at Towson University and a pledging member of the Phi Mu sorority. “His mom should come over and be like, ‘These are the girls you want to marry,’” sophomore Jessica Stein said. Both young women wore the black shirts with pink lettering of sisters in training for the sorority … “There is no better location than the birthplace of our national anthem to welcome Michael and all Maryland’s Olympians home,” Mr. O’Malley said.

Awww … you gotta love a hometown welcome like this. I’m sure that every single person in his hometown of Towson, MD is extremely proud that one of their own has reached new heights in Olympic glory. Shoot, I’m happy to take on some of that pride myself … Phelpsie studys and trains at the University of Michigan, which is where I went to graduate school so I can totally understand the feeling of prideful connectedness. Phelps is a good guy and he totally deserves all the love and accolades that he has been receiving since his stunning performance at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China this summer. I have to send out much love and thanks to Kerstin and her father for sharing their photos from this weekend’s Parade of Gold in Maryland.

Miley Cyrus’s Super Sweet 16

Miley Cyrus celebrated her sweet 16 birthday at Disneyland last night by hosting a party at the park for friends, family and members of the public who wanted to shell out $250 for the privilege (a portion of the cost is being donated to Miley‘s favorite charity). After participating in a parade around the park, Miley took to the stage to perform for the crowd in celebration of turning the big 1-6 … which doesn’t actually happen until November 23 (but who’s counting?). Here are a few pics from Miley‘s early birthday celebration at Disneyland last night:

Sweet sixteen? Not just yet … But Miley Cyrus – who turns 16 on Nov. 23 – got an early jump on her birthday celebration Sunday night with a special bash at Disneyland. “They say it’s the happiest place on Earth,” she said of the themepark, which was shut down exclusively for her. The evening started with Cyrus and pals like Tyra Banks, David Archuleta and Demi Lovato strolling down a large purple carpet. Cyrus’s new beau, Justin Gaston, avoided the carpet crush – but he emerged onstage to help open up for the Hannah Montana star. The guitar playing Gaston joined Cyrus’s dad, Billy Ray, and older sis Brandi to sing “Achy Breaky Heart.” “This is the most amazing sweet 16 that a girl could have!” Cyrus boasted as she stepped on stage to perform. According to Disney, the teen sensation also received a surprise birthday gift from her parents: A new dog! The Maltipoo –] a cross between a Maltese and a poodle – is named Sophie, said the rep, after a dog owned by her late grandfather. Later, Gaston looked on adoringly while the large crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to Cyrus. The Disney star – who calls the budding relationship “great” – then pulled him in close while they watched the fireworks finale. With the stroke of midnight looming, the pop singer was still raring to go. “Its been a long night,” she said, “but I’m still ready to party and ride some rides!”

I mean, how else would Disney‘s cash cow golden child celebrate her 16th birthday if not at Disneyland? My friends and I spent our weekend at Disneyland and were inundated with all the signs and decorations going up for her party. Needless to say, we did not shell out the big bucks to party with Miley last night … instead, we went over to California Adventure and rode the rides there. I think it’s plainly obvious that Miley is quickly outgrowing her Disneyness so it would make sense that the company is trying to capitalize on her while they still can. I’m sure there won’t be many Disneyland birthdays in her future from here on out … so I hope she made it a good one.

Britney Spears Goes Karting

After returning home from her quick trip to NYC last week, Britney Spears made a beeline straight for her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James as quickly as she could. Britney, with her father Jamie Spears in tow, took her sons for a nice family dinner together at The Mondrian in Hollywood, CA last night:

But before Britney‘s dinner with the men in her life last night, she took some time for a little fun of her very own. Britters made the trek down to Anaheim, CA yesterday afternoon to do a little bit of go-karting at the Dromo One Go-Kart track … you know, just because:

I understand that a camera crew was with her at the go-kart track so we may see video of Britney‘s fun either online at BritneySpears.com or on the bonus DVD that will come packaged with her new album Circus, due for release on December 2. Yeah, this is the good-matured, clean fun that I love to see Britney partake of. While this sort of activity is meant to help clean up her image with the public, you know she is having a blast nonetheless. Britney is a big fan of go-kart racing (we’ve seen her engage in the fun activity many times before) and it just reminds us that she is still a young person yearning for fun. Good, clean fun. Love it.

Don’t forget, Britney‘s new music video for Womanizer will debut on ABC‘s 20/20 later on this week, make sure you don’t miss it!!

Sneak preview

ABC has released a short teaser video promoting this week’s episode of 20/20 that will world premiere Britney Spears‘s new music video for Womanizer … and here it is:

Love it!!! It’s not much of a tease but it’s something. I am very excited to see this video in full. Woot!
