A Gay Ol’ Time At Disneyland

The TV Guide
Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Oy! We had the best time every at Disneyland yesterday at Gay Days. While most of our time was spent enjoying good clean, wholesome fun there was a bit of naughtiness to be had as well. Here are some of our fun pics from yesterday:

As the night wore on the fun got less wholesome but twas fun nonetheless. We got to meet a bunch of fun peeps and generally just had a total blast. I must admit that we are all a little worse for the wear today (did you know they serve really strong drinks at the restaurants here at Disneyland?) but are ready for a second day of fun :) Woot!!

Tonight, I’m seeing Liz Phair at The Troubador with my friend Adriana so I’ll be sure to have some deets on her show tomorrow.

Hot Dude Of The Week: Wes

Weekend hotness
Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Time again for us to partake of the manly hawtness of the Hot Dude of the Week, huzzah! This week, we’ve got a muscley blonde hottie named Wes who has an affinity for white skivvies, which I’m sure many of us are most appreciative for ;) Say hello to Wes:

Seriously, is there anything more lovely to behold on a fine Sunday afternoon than a pair of white wet undies? Depending on the person wearing them, like Wes here, you know the answer ;) I mean … yeah. Enjoy :)

Mariah Carey Steps Out Sans Nick Cannon

The re-Emancipation of Mimi
Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Mariah Carey was spotted enjoying a night on the town in Las Vegas, NV last night without new hubby Nick Cannon. Scandal!! I think that this is the first waking moment that Mimi ventured out in public without her young husband clutching to the hem of garment, following behind since the couple were wed back in May. Here are a couple pics of Mimi’s red carpet arrival at The Bank nightclub (the site of Mario Lopez’s pre-birthday party the night before) inside the Bellagio Hotel and Casino last night:

You know, I think it’s nice that Mariah and Nick have finally gotten out of the honeymoon phase and are starting to do things separately. I understand that Mimi is in Vegas this weekend to shoot her new music video which will be filmed at The Bank sometime today. No word on what Nick is doing but I can imagine it involves some sort of pining away on a tear-soaked pillow for his absent wife.

Janet Jackson Cancels More Shows

Is ill, apparently
Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Janet Jackson, who was forced to cancel a couple of concert appearances and be hospitalized last week, has been forced to cancel a couple more appearances due to, what her folks are calling, an “undisclosed illness”. While Janet’s people will not specify what malady Jackson is suffering from, they do insist that she is “recuperating” in the hopes that she will be able to return to the concert stage at some point:

Janet Jackson has canceled her fourth show in less than a week because of an undisclosed illness. A statement from Jackson said she arrived in Greensboro, N.C., hoping to perform there Saturday, but a local doctor advised that she not perform after it became “evident” she was not fully recovered. Representatives for the 42-year-old singer say she became “suddenly ill” and was hospitalized Monday night in Montreal shortly after she arrived for a show. She also canceled concerts in Boston and Philadelphia on Wednesday and Thursday. Jackson’s publicist did not elaborate Saturday, only saying she was “recuperating.” Jackson is on her first North American tour in seven years.

While I hope that Janet gets better soon, I can’t help but wonder if the poor gal has bitten off more than she can chew. She had only been on tour for a few days and she’s already unable to to get thru even a single live performance. It’s entirely possible that this “undisclosed illness” (Janet’s brother Randy Jackson says that she is suffering from a case of vertigo) just happened to come at the most inopportune time but, I can’t help but wonder if she just isn’t ready to take on a live concert tour of this magnitude. Rest up and get well soon, Janet. Here’s hoping that she recovers from her illness very soon.

Jake Gyllenhaal Emerges In London

He lives!
Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Jake Gyllenhaal, who has been out of the public eye for the past few weeks working on his new movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, emerged in London, England this weekend. Sporting a fleece jacket from 66° North (which is an Icelandic outerwear company, I might add) Jakey poo was snapped making his way out of Cipriani restaurant Friday evening … here are a couple of pics:

Woot! It has been far too long since we’ve laid eyes on our dear Jake and he is a sight for sore eyes. I love that he is rockin’ a fleecy jacket from 66° North. When David and I were in Iceland, we learned that 66° North is pretty much the dress code for any Icelander who needs to brave the weather in comfort and style. Glad to see that Jake is part of the fam ;) While I can appreciate that Jakey poo has prolly been hard at work on his new film, I’m glad that the lad deigned to come out of hiding to remind us of how much we (well, I, at least) totally <3 him. Hopefully this reemergence is a sign that he is back on the scene and won't be hidden away for weeks on end. Welcome back Jake, we (well, I’ve) missed you :)

‘Changeling’ Premieres In NYC

Brangelina make a grand appearance at the New York Film Festival
Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who, as you may recall, relocated their family to NYC earlier this week made a red carpet appearance at the New York Film Festival in NYC last night for the premiere of Ange’s new movie Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood. Here are a few pics of the happy couple (and Clint) on the red carpet last night, which marks the first time Brangelina attended a public event together since the birth of their twins back in July:

Having landed in New York earlier in the week, Angelina Jolie arrived with Brad PItt and walked the red carpet at the New York Film Festival for Saturday night’s premiere of her movie Changeling, a 1920’s thriller directed by Clint Eastwood. Asked if she felt nervous to be back in the spotlight, Jolie told PEOPLE, “Not nervous as much as I just took a deep breath because it¹s been so long. It felt a little strange.” The Manhattan visit marks the first time since the birth of their twins, Vivienne and Knox, that Jolie and Pitt have been in the city with their children. “Everybody’s great,” she told PEOPLE. “The babies are getting big and healthy and developing personalities.” As for being in the city that never sleeps, Jolie, 33, said, “We are a little bit [sleep deprived]. We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.” Still, as ever, she looked ravishing – decked out in an Atelier Versace dress, Sergio Rossi shoes and Mikimoto pearl earrings and ring – after a day of taking her three eldest kids (Zahara, Maddox and Pax Thien) to Lee’s Art Store midtown, while Brad went downtown to see photographer Jerry Spagnoli at his studio. “I run around with all the other kids, and I’m breastfeeding, which I think is a part of your body’s recovery,” Jolie said. “I feel great [and] feel very happy that they’re healthy.”

You gotta love that no matter her commitments, no matter how bizzy her schedule is, Angelina (and Brad, actually) makes sure to carve out time to spend with her children doing stuff that is fun for them. After the jump, check out a few pics of Ange and the kiddies making their way out of Lee’s Art Store early yesterday afternoon …
