ABC News has announced that Britney Spears will premiere the music video for her new single Womanizer on the October 10th episode of 20/20:

Britney Spears’ second comeback is in full swing: She’s due to release a new album in December, on her 27th birthday. “Circus” is set for release Dec. 2, a little over a year after she released last November’s “Blackout,” which was perhaps her most critically acclaimed CD, but came during her infamous year of erratic behavior, rehab, custody battles and at least one hospitalization. She barely promoted it, and the album — though it was certified platinum — was one of her least successful.

Yeah, basically the news report is a reiteration of release info that we already know but we do now have a premiere date for the Womanizer music video. Set your DVRs, y’all :)

Well … it looks like the secret’s out. 14-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps appears to have finally gotten himself (or it has been revealed that he’s had) a girlfriend in Miss California runner-up Nicole Johnson. You may recall that Phelpsie would not confirm to People magazine that he had a girlfriend in his life … but it looks like the cat is out of the bag. Either he suddenly found the time to take on a girlfriend or he’s been keepin’ this lovely lady underwraps for some time. Here is a pic of Phelpsie and Nicole as they made their way thru Logan International Airport in Boston, MA yesterday — note how they appeared to keep a bit of distance between them perhaps in an attempt to throw us off the trail of their lurve:

HMMM … it appears that a couple of 90210 co-stars have begun a romantic relationship off set and have been found out as a result of being caught in engaging in the walk of shame. Co-stars Jessica Stroup and Dustin Milligan (who play Erin Silver and Ethan Ward respectively on 90210) appear to be in a pretty serious relationship … and these smoochy pics are the proof:

To set the scene, Dustin was snapped leaving Jessica’s place mid-afternoon this week after he enjoyed a little sleep-over at her place the night before. The couple swapped spit passionately before they had to part ways. Now, I’m sure it’s entirely possible that the couple sat up all night long braiding one another’s hair, baking cookies or some other such innocent activity but, more than likely, the two of them were bumpin’ uglies until the wee hours of the morning. In any event, it seems very likely that the two are romantically involved. Hey, if Blake Lively and Penn Badgley can have a real-life romance off the set of Gossip Girl then why can’t these two hormonal youngsters? I think it’s great that they’re found love on the set of 90210 … surely, they’re meant to stay together — forever.

Yesterday we saw the two campaign ads that Jessica Alba features in for the nonprofit organization Declare Yourself (which aims to get young people registered to vote), one of which showed Jessica wearing a Hannibal Lecter-like muzzle mask which was meant to illustrate the notion that “only you can silence yourself” by not registering to vote. Today we get to check out a short promo vid put out by Declare Yourself that carries on the “muzzle” theme and features not only Jessica but Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and 90210 star Tristan Wilds:

This vid is cheeky and far less threatening than the controversial poster artwork, I think. A few Pink readers commented that they were very turned off by the images in the Declare Yourself poster artwork … I’m curious to hear what folks think about this tongue-in-cheek vid.

The Chicago-Sun Times columnist Bill Zwecker is reporting that the Walt Disney Company is lobbied hardcore to get Johnny Depp to reprise his role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming 4th installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. In order to woo Johnny back into Capt. Jack’s boots, Disney reportedly offered a booty of $55 million dollars which, the report states, he gladly accepted making Depp the highest paid actor in Hollywood:

Thanks to his latest deal with Disney, Johnny Depp has leapfrogged past Will Smith to become the top-earning star in Hollywood. According to Forbes magazine, Smith was last year’s top earner — taking home an estimated $80 million overall. Depp already was No. 2, at $72 million, but now the actor will clearly move into the lead. According to a Disney source who spoke to this column, Depp’s agreement to make a fourth ”Pirates of the Caribbean” film, star as Tonto in the new big-screen ”The Lone Ranger” and portray the Mad Hatter in director Tim Burton’s new ”Alice in Wonderland” will put the popular star on top. It’s mainly because Depp will also get the biggest-ever paycheck for an individual film: a reported $55 million for the next ”Pirates” flick. That surpasses the previous top earner, Tom Hanks (at $49 million), for the upcoming ”Angels & Demons,” based on Dan Brown’s novel. Before that, Jim Carrey held the record for an individual film — $39 million paid for ”The Cable Guy” back in 1996. That film’s less-than-blockbuster performance led to a big re-evaluation in Hollywood about the skyrocketing paychecks for major stars. Matt Damon now reportedly gets a not-too-shabby $29 million per picture (largely thanks to the ”Bourne” films’ successes), Brad Pitt commands between $20 million and $24 million per picture and Tom Cruise gets up to $30 million.

Wow … that is a lot of money for one role. I realize that the POTC franchise is a very lucrative one but I had no idea that Disney would be willing to shell out this kind of dough just to put out one more movie. What if POTC 4 is a huge hit and they have to make another film? Depp would be asked for at least another $55 million bucks for another go round. I mean … I liked the films but I didn’t like them that much. Does this sound like money well spent to all y’all or does this have disaster written all over it?

Lindsay Lohan is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of UK Marie Claire magazine. In her coverstory interview, Lindsay makes a few startling revelations concerning her future plans (she wants to adopt, y’all) and talks a bit about her relationship with Samantha Ronson (which you know the magazine was happy to ask about) among other things. Lindsay Lohan may only be 22, but she’s already started making plans to adopt a child. The reformer Hollywood hellraiser insists she is happier than ever since finding love with DJ Samantha Ronson and is looking forward to the future. After experiencing a difficult childhood and past few years, Lohan believes her life experience would make her a good mother. She tells the latest edition of Marie Claire magazine: “At some point, I want to adopt a kid as well. A child in need or a newborn from another country. I’m not sure yet.” Lohan would be the latest in a long list of Hollywood stars who have adopted, including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone, Sheryl Crow, Calista Flockhart and Mia Farrow. After months of rumours, Lohan finally confirmed she was in a relationship with Ronson – sister of artist/producer Mark Ronson – last month. Speaking to the magazine, a defiant Lohan declared: “People can think what they want. I’m really happy and that’s all that matters.” Some have credited Ronson with helping Lohan get her life back in order after stints in rehab, a spell in jail as well as being sentenced to community service following her driving under the influence arrests. While Lohan acknowledges Ronson has been a great help in her life, she insists it is her alone who has dealt with her problems. She said: “(Samantha’s) a great person. But I think that anything that’s changed in my life is because of me. I’ve gone through it and I’ve had to deal with it and I’ve made the decision to move forward. So, yeah, she’s a great person.” The couple are so happy together they are reportedly looking at buying an apartment together in New York. Earlier this week, the couple were photographed looking loved up on holiday in Mexico.

Nice. I love that Lindsay is taking credit for her own well-being … I may have prematurely joined the chorus of folks who have credited Samantha for the positive changes in Lindsay’s life — she is right to say that all the positivity in her life begins with her. I also applaud Lindsay’s refusal to listen to speculation about her relationship with Samantha. In the end, it’s their business and their business alone … it really does sound like Linds is in a great place, I’m happy to hear that she’s doing so well. Last night was a very fun, albeit, late night. I must confess that I am no longer used to staying out late anymore. Sad but true, I’m so much more of a homebody these days that any night where I’m out past midnight is a “late night” for me. That being said, last night’s “late night” was really a lot of fun and deffo worth the lack of sleep I suffered this morning. Darion and I met up for sushi at this place called Taiyo in Hollywood which was really very fab. The food was delicious (they have this strawberry sushi roll which was AMAZING) and the atmosphere was really very cool. After we supped on sushi we made our way to Avalon for Britney Night at Tiger Heat:

We got there a bit early and found that the death metal band who had a concert there right before Tiger Heat was to start hadn’t left yet … so there we were, metalheads and gays intermingling for a little bit — it was kinda funny. As you can see, Darion snapped a pic with Andrea from Danity Kane who was really very sweet to us. I got to meet Pink readers Irene and Sirena (pictured above) as well as Jose, Sonya and Adam. It was my pleasure meeting you all last night. We got to dance to a bunch of classic Britney songs and ended our night after they played Womanizer. It was just so much fun … Tiger Heat is always a great time.

I have a Sony serviceman coming out to my apt. today to work on my laptop (there was a recall or something) so I’m stressin’ the state of my apartment. My luggage from the past 2 weeks is still kinda all over the place … I hope he doesn’t judge ;)

The weekend is nearly here and I’m really excited … I’ve never been to Disneyland’s Gay Days so I’m really looking forward to it. Mebbe I’ll run into some of you in Anaheim this weekend?
