Yesterday we saw a few cute pics of bikini-clad Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson enjoying the sun and surf down in Mexico as the ladies tried to rest and relax on holiday. Today we have a couple new photos of the dynamic duo which show that L. Ron are really up for having a good time while they are on vacay:

Lindsay Lohan is clearly up for some fun as she enjoyed the second day of her romantic beach break with girlfriend Samantha Ronson. The actress chilled on the beach with a big box of Scrabble in anticipation of a competitive bout with Samantha. The love-struck couple were spotted working on their tans during a romantic break in Mexico where they are spending some time out from their usually hectic Los Angeles lifestyles. They relaxed and lounged around on an idyllic paradise beach, which came complete with beds shaded by thatched palms surrounded by rocks and cacti. The girls then showed off their word skills by playing a game of Scrabble. While 22-year-old Lohan opted for more boyish dark-coloured bikinis, her revealing collection of swimsuits showed off her comparatively tanned complexion next to her more pasty-white girlfriend Ronson. Perhaps escaping to a beach and taking dips in the clear seas was just what the pair needed to recoup from their hectic lifestyles. Following mounting speculation about their relationship, actress Lohan and Ronson finally came clean earlier this month and admitted they were a couple to an American radio DJ.

Awww … Scrabble … how cute is that? So lemme get this straight — Britney Spears spent part of her day touring a junior high school and hanging out with kids and Lindsay Lohan, who appears to have settled down with one person, spent part of her vacation playing Scrabble on the beach with her girlfriend … and these are the girls who were causing a ruckus all over Hollywood for the past couple of years getting arrested (Lindsay) and/or suffering mental breakdowns (Britney) resulting in commitment into rehab (Linds) and mental wards (Brit)? I mean … what has the world come to when the craziest thing that the infamous Hollywood “It” Girls get caught doing is playing Scrabble on the beach??? Has the whole world lost its head?

While I’m sure that cutting edge fashions were on their shopping list, I wouldn’t be surprised if the ladies were also shopping around for interesting plots to interject into Whitney‘s reality TV progam, which is currently being filmed around NYC:

Earlier today, we saw pics of Britney Spears‘s same day shopping trip to SoHo but I doubt that Whitney‘s presence in the area caused much of a sensation all on its own. It was just Whitney and her friend, walking along, shopping here and there, filming a television program just like any other person in the city — now that’s what I call reality.

Nicole Kidman has made her way to London, England and she brought along her newborn baby girl Sunday Rose along with her. After emerging from a London area hospital (reason: unknown), Nicole planted a gentle kiss on her daughter’s little head and inadvertently gave us our first clear look at the little doll (unlike those grainy pics from OZ back in August) since her birth back in July … behold:

She’s so precious … and so big already. It’s nice that Nicole has decided it’s time to let her baby enjoy the sun on her face rather than having to be carried around in baby sacks ;) It’s very nice to meet you Sunday Rose, we’ve been waiting a long time to see how pretty you are.

Heather Locklear may have gotten herself arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence this past Sunday morning but that ain’t slowing down her bizzy work schedule. Heather was spotted at a lunch meeting with her real estate agent at an LA cafe yesterday afternoon one day after she was arrested in the Santa Barbara, CA area for alleged DUI. Interestingly enough, the woman who called 911 on Heather and reported that she was “driving drunk” turned out to be none other than former US Weekly editor Jill Ishkanian … curious, no? Here’s a pic of Heather at her lunch meeting yesterday and the curious deets of Ishkanian‘s involvement in her weekend arrest:

The woman who called 911 on Heather Locklear is a former Us Weekly staffer who was under investigation by the FBI — and she’s the one who tipped off the paparazzi! Jill Ishkanian, who allegedly hacked into Us Weekly’s computer system to locate celebs after she left the mag, was following Locklear in the Montecito area. Ishkanian watched the actress go to a market. When Heather got in her car, Ishkanian called 911, even though the car wasn’t even moving at the time … sources say immediately after Ishkanian called 911, she called a paparazzi agency to give them the heads up Heather was about to be popped … Ishkanian apparently is the only witness who says Locklear was driving erratically and that she was drunk, even though it’s already established she was not under the influence of alcohol.

Shady, shady. Something tells me that absolutely nothing is gonna stick to Heather Locklear from this arrest … the fact that the only witness to her crime is a former tabloid magazine staffer who was stalking her and then alerted the paparazzi to photographer her arrest seems to point to a situation where all charges may be dropped. It looks like Heather may have gotten lucky on this one … hopefully she’s learned her lesson and will stay squeaky clean from here on out.

Earlier today we saw some very pretty pictures from Britney Spears‘s NYC activities from yesterday but get yourselves ready for a whole lotta hotness from our dear Britney. Here are a few pics of an absolutely stunning Britney Spears as she surprised a group of children at John Philip Sousa Junior High School #142 in the Bronx, NY earlier today. Sure these young’s prolly had no idea who she was (after all, she has been out of the kiddie market for some time now) but I’m sure they were very happy that she decided to pay them a visit nonetheless:

Tracey has given me the priceless gift of her daughter Zakiya and there is no way I can ever repay her … so I hope that this birthday shout-out can at least bring a smile to her face today. Shannen Doherty is featured in the new issue of Details magazine (the one with the Gossip Girl guys on the cover) wherein she talks about shark attacks, her ex-husband and (of course) her return to the world of 90210. Here are a few of Shannen‘s Details magazine photos which were shot by Michael Evanet for the mag:

Not long ago, Shannen Doherty, the once and future Brenda Walsh, took a day off from shooting the short-lived TV show North Shore in Hawaii and went on a shark-diving trip with a couple of friends. Hundreds of yards offshore, Doherty descended into the water in a protective cage. Members of the boat’s crew chummed the water, sharks gathered—and Doherty freaked. “I couldn’t breathe, I started having an anxiety attack, I couldn’t stay out of their reach,” Doherty says, shuddering. Her Irish brow crinkles into slight worry lines that make her look her age, which is 37. “They were slamming into the cage—they looked so frickin’ mean! My leg slipped a little through the bars, and a shark swam up against me and rubbed off a layer of my skin.” Doherty is telling the story in a restaurant on the Pacific Coast Highway, in Malibu, a few hundred yards from the beach. She still owns nine or ten surfboards but hasn’t been on one—or even swum in the ocean—since the shark encounter. “I tell myself the least I can do is give the ocean back to the sharks,” Doherty says. And then she giggles. “No, that’s just a bullshit rationalization—I’m just terrified now.” … Shannen Doherty may not have been a nice girl, but she is a sweet woman. Then again, there is nowhere to go but up after you’ve singlehandedly defined the modern American mean girl. The journey began with her performance in 1989’s Heathers, as the quiet yet lethal member of the troika of button-nosed title characters. But Doherty went hard-core after she was cast on Beverly Hills, 90210, which made its debut in 1990. As Brenda Walsh, she played a virginal daughter of Minnesota relocated to the zip code of the entitled and wealthy. Brenda was initially a likable, naïve beauty, but her equanimity didn’t last long: she soon morphed into Elizabeth I in Guess jeans, adopting a kill-or-be-killed attitude toward all of teendom. That can really injure a young girl’s esteem.” Alas, poor Doherty was playing the role of a lifetime as her TV and real-life personae began to merge. There was boy trouble and more boy trouble. Doherty’s relationship with Dean Factor, heir to the Max Factor makeup fortune, ended when a restraining order was filed against her after she allegedly tried to run him down with her car. (Her memorable line: “If I really wanted to run him over, I wouldn’t have missed.”) Then there was a teen-angst-worlds-colliding liaison with Judd Nelson. Next Doherty met George Hamilton’s son, Ashley. They married after two weeks; the union lasted all of seven months. Her chaotic personal life exacted a professional toll. Amid rumors that she was consistently showing up late to the set, Doherty left Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1994, after the fourth season. She lay low for a while, except for a winning turn in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats in 1995 and an appearance in Playboy. Then, in 1998, Aaron Spelling cast her in Charmed—as an actual witch—opposite Alyssa Milano. Just as the “Shannen is back” story line began to gel, she quit, reportedly because she was at odds with Milano. But that was seven years ago. Since then Doherty has, much to her relief, fallen off the tabloid radar. “I have a great life now,” Doherty says. She owns three horses and rides them obsessively, and her parents live a five-minute drive away. “If you could see me with my horse Picasso, how I call his name and he sticks his head out of his stall and then licks me from the neck up—that’s what my life is like now,” she says. “It’s really kind of boring.” An obvious question arises: If Shannen Doherty is so happy with her placid life, why is she raising Brenda Walsh from the dead?

And the Details article, which you can read HERE, goes on to answer that question. The one question that isn’t answered in her interview is how the magazine stylist managed to convince her to wear that horribly outdated leather vest for the shoot? It looks exactly like the sort of outfit that Brenda Walsh would’ve worn back in the day … and mebbe I just answered my own question. I’ve yet to grow tired of all the Brenda Walsh/90210 hoopla but it can’t last much longer … especially since this week’s ep (which aired last night) was the last ep of 90210 to feature Doherty for some time. How much longer can she milk this role? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Pink reader Mykah was able to attend the finale show of Siouxsie Sioux‘s Mantaray & More Tour at Koko in London, England Monday night and was cool enough to send in a few pics taken by photographer Sidney Rosa the live performance. Here are a few pics and some info about the show itself:

Siouxsie played her last gig from the Mantaray & More Tour on Monday the 29th @ Koko in london. The show was recorded for a future DVD release. Siouxsie Will be returning to the studio shortly to start work on another studio album which she revealed to Nemone for the BBC on Radio 6 music.

You may recall that I was lucky enough to see Siouxsie (of Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Creatures fame) live in concert in NYC with my very good friend Diana this past February so I am very grateful to Mykah for giving us the head’s up about this show and am really looking forward to the DVD release of this performance. Sioux is a musical goddess and I weep for those of you who are unfamiliar with her work. She is truly a legend and I am just thrilled that she is showing no signs of retirement. While I’m not too keen on the sparkly Bea Arthur-like dress that Sioux wears in that last pic, I just love the woman and her craft to death. Now that she’s completed a year of touring, I hope she is able to rest up and will be comin’ back at us with a new disc of material very soon.
