Who Will Be Guest Judging The Season 5 ‘Project Runway’ Finale?

Can't anyone keep a secret anymore?
September 9th, 2008

It seems like there can be NO SECRETS about the current 5th season of Project Runway that is currently airing on Bravo. For some insane reason, Bravo thought it prudent to not only list online the titles and full synopses of every episode of this season of Project Runway (including the eps that have yet to air) but also reveal the guest judges for each of the eps. Now, weeks ahead of the Project Runway Season 5 Finale Fashion Show we have word on who has been selected as the celebrity guest judge:

I mean, if true — I love the person chosen to be this season’s guest judge. I think she is the perfect person to sit in final judgment of this season’s competition. I just wish the secrets of the show could be better guarded so early before the eps actually air. I like being surprised from week to week, call me crazy. So as not to spoil the surprise for those of you who don’t want to know who the rumored celebrity guest judge is, I put the news behind the cut. After the jump, find out who has reportedly been chosen to guest judge …

It’s La Diva Latina herself, Jennifer Lopez:

Jennifer Lopez will serve as a judge on the season 5 finale of Bravo’s Project Runway, a source tells Usmagazine.com. The 39-year-old actress, who is currently training for her first triathalon, is shooting the show Friday, the source adds. Nina Garcia wouldn’t confirm the news, but hinted the finale “is going to be unbelievable.” “The guest star is one of the most iconic women around,” she recently told Us. “It’s going to take the cake.” … A Bravo rep would would neither confirm nor deny Lopez’s role on the show.

Well, at least we can take comfort in the fact that Bravo is not actively involved in spilling the beans so early before the finale ep is scheduled to air. That being said, tho, I’m kinda thrilled that J. Lo will be the celebrity guest judge. She does have a flair for fashion and I think she’ll do a superb job. We already know that J. Lo and regular PR judge and fashion designer Michael Kors are besties (you may recall that they were photographed together for the current issue of Elle magazine) so I think she’ll fit in nicely. Now that I’m fully invested in this season of Project Runway (Team Korto! Team LeAnne! Team Joe!) I am really looking forward to the finale fashion show showdown. Do y’all like the idea of Jenny from the Block as guest judge?

When I saw the face blocked pic on the front page I was like, for sure that is Kim Kardashian’s ass . Wow, I had forgotten all about JLo’s booty. You gotta admit they are comparable though.

  6. Nat Says:

I thought it was Kim Kardashian at first, too, lol!

But then I scrolled down the page and saw pics of J.Lo with Vicky B. wearing the same white dress. :)

  7. GossipGirlFan Says:

Team LeAnne, Team Korto (although the girl could learn to smile a little) and Team Kenley! wow the girls are really bringing it this season.

  8. Susan Says:

I don’t like J-lo after her comments about Michael Phelps.
How conceited can one person be?

  9. Paz Says:

Damn it…I do not like this trend of having celebrities as judges for the final episode. i dont care how stylish victoria beckham or jlo are. just because you like fashion, doesnt mean you’re qualified to be a judge. i love fashion, but i know people who actually work with fabrics, or nina who’s an editor will catch more stuff than i ever would.
i think fern mallis should be the judge. she is the president of fashion week isnt she? my next pick would be anna wintour or andre leon talley (sp?) but thats not likely to happen since they’re part of Vogue, which competes with Elle.

Iconic women? It could be Beyonce then, huh? LOL!

  11. MelMel Says:

Good choice! But noooooooooooooooooo to team Joe. I’m just sayin’. :-P

Team Korto, Team Leanne, Team ???ANYBODY BUT JOE???

  12. Nina Says:

ugh! J.lo would be the lamest choice for a finale judge E-V-E-R!! Couldn’t they cast someone with a little more taste and fashion clout!!! please……
