Burn recovery can take a long time. I have not personally gone through, but a family member of mine has. A year and a half after the accident he was still have skin grafts. He also had to wear a body suit for a year to protect his skin during the healing process and to help it heal properly. He is doing very well…physically and emotionally. He is about 7 years younger than me. He has the most amazing attitude. I admire him more than anyone else I know.

While 4 lives were sadly lost in this tragedy, it is good to hear that Travis and DJ AM are doing well and that they will have a full recovery. I wish them well and I wish them a speedy recovery (as speedy as it can be). My heart goes out to all those who were effected by this tragedy.

I laugh at all of you. After reading your entries I realised nobody even took the time to say RIP. all you guys talked about was TMZ. yeah, sure, they are rude for getting too personal in others lives when it isnt even their business. but you must not forget about the ones that HAVE died. Depending on the extent of the burns, 1yr is actually very promising for a recovery. I’m more concerned about the emotional recovery. Its not as easy to bounce back from something like this…I’m sure that they have a great support system though. …I think this is every American’s worst nightmare…the last time a plane crash took the life of a promising and dear musician was Alliyah back in 2000.

Yeah – some sites feel this desperate need to add more tragedy to an already tragic enough situation. I don’t even go to TMZ (or that other guy who’s name starts with ‘P’ anymore). They make me feel bad. I just want the facts and some humour (if there is some to be found in a story) …

TMZ is so… vulgar! I stopped going to their website after Heath Ledger died- they were streaming video of his body being transported from the house to the morgue! I mean, a little respect, please! Jeeze! I feel terrible for the tragedy at hand, and I can’t even begin to fathom what it must feel like to have been in that type of accident… how would you feel if you survived but other people whom you loved didn’t? You would always ask yourself if you could have done more, saved them, ect. on top of the anxiety you would feel facing a long recovery. Terrible. The only solence we can take is that two people miraculously survived and that those lost will be remembered by their family and friends.

Its good news and very fortunate that Barker and Goldstein will recover, but its a bit insensitive going on about how awesome and great this is, and going WOOT! over their recovery while 4 people have died

It doesn’t suprise me that TMZ would do whatever they could to sensationalize on ANY celebrities tragedy. I hate TMZ. It’s paparazzi trash like that, that lead to the death of Princess Diana and that drives celebrities to hating their lifestyles in the public eye. I’m glad you called them on it, that shows integrity on your part.

All my best wishes to the families of the deceased plane crash victims and to both Travis and Adam in their recovery. What a terrible tragedy. :(

I wish the best and speediest recovery to both of them. They seem like truly nice guys, and even though I’m not into either of their music, I am so glad they survived!
