The Spears Bros. Celebrate Their Birthdays
Yesterday afternoon, Britney Spears invited an intimate selection of family members and close friends to a birthday party she hosted for her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Because her eldest son was born on September 14, 2005 and her second son was born on September 12, 2006 it, apparently, makes the most sense to celebrate the boys’ birthdays together since their birthdays are only 2 days shy of a year apart. Here are a few pics of Spears family birthday fête which took place in Los Feliz, CA yesterday afternoon:
Britney Spears revved up the celebration for sons Preston and Jayden on Saturday, throwing her sons a joint car and truck-themed birthday bash in Los Angeles. And the party was truly a family affair. Spears celebrated her boys’ special days – Preston turns 3 on Sept. 14, and Jayden turned 2 on Sept. 12 – with sister Jamie Lynn Spears, her newborn niece Maddie Briann, dad Jamie and mom Lynne. Held at close friend Adrienne Maloof-Nassif’s Beverly Park house, the outdoor party drew some famous guests, including Jenny McCarthy with her son Evan, and Gwen Stefani’s son Kingston, 2, who came to the bash from an equally starry affair: He celebrated Heidi Klum’s son Henry’s 3rd birthday at the model’s Beverly Hills house along with all three of Victoria Beckham’s sons. But the guests of honor seemed to be having the best time. Preston and Jayden drove around the party in mini motorized cars, which were customized Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier. The cars featured tattoo-inspired decals, Ed Hardy air fresheners and personalized license plates. To keep with the party’s theme, the cake was in shape of a yellow truck. “The boys received tons of birthday gifts,” a source told PEOPLE. “Britney and her family really made the party special for the boys.”
Oh yeah, now this sounds like a good ol’ fashioned Spears family get-together. I’m actually surprised that there is no mention in this report of Kevin Federline being in attendance … surely the father of the kids was allowed to attend. As you can tell from the first photo, Britney’s older brother Bryan was in the hiz for the celebration and he wasn’t mentioned either. In any event, it looks like a really fun birthday for the boys … we know they love trucks so I assume they had a great time. Happy Birthday, Sean Preston (tomorrow) and Jayden James (yesterday)!!!
UPDATE: I just found out that Kevin Federline WAS NOT in attendance at his sons’ joint birthday party after all, he was bizzy partying with “a group of ladies” and spent all of last night seated at Privé nightclub’s private and exclusive Table 69 in Las Vegas, NV. Proof positive that K-Fed is worthy of his recent Father of the Year title.

I didn’t say he was less of a father … I was really taking further issue with his Father of the Year title which was given to him by a Las Vegas nightclub, the very one he was at last night.

I am surprised you judge so harshly…I know many divorced parents who choose to have seperate birthday celebrations for their children. If it’s his time to away from the kids should he just sit around at home?? I don’t care for K-Fed, but I don’t think he is doing anything wrong. Give him a break.

I’m with Ana. I’m no K-Fed fan either but by all indications, he’s been one hell of a lot better father than Britney’s been a mother. If the party was thrown by K-Fed and Britney wasn’t there, would you have said the same thing. Besides, the reason she’s having the party together is because she went ape-shizz and lost custody. Geez, give the guy the same pass Britney seems to constantly get. At least he stepped up to the plate.

Well I’m a single mom of two young boys and I EXPECT their father to be present for their birthdays. We live in different states and are limited on funds so sometimes I go to him and vice versa. There is no limit on the funds when it comes to k-fed and Brit, so no, there is no excuse for missing their party. At least show some kind of comaradie when both parents are together for the kids sake. Also, we give convicted criminals second chances in this country all the time, why do some continue to “convict” Brit on past mistakes? It is obvious, she is trying to change, why don’t some of you let her?

I agree with Kathleen, Ana, and Nat. Why on earth would he be at a party for his kids thrown by Britney?? I am sure she banned him from the party first of all, they don’t even speak or have a good relationship so why would she invite him to a party she’s throwing? I don’t like Britney but I can even agree that it would be so dumb to invite someone you have so many problems with – it would just make the party ackward and have drama which is not what should happen at a childrens’ birthday party. The kids will likely have a seperate birthday party with their dad later.
And to “That Girl” and “Ileana” – no one is convicting her – Britney is a crazy case person that has been given about a million chances too many! She’s only appearing stable now with IMMENSE help from her father and some others..the girl is incapable of managing her life even a little bit without constant supervision. That’s pretty sad considering her age and all the opportunities she gets that some people never have a chance for no matter how hard they work and truly talented they are. I think people hand-hold her too much and give her so many more chances than any other sane person would get – so many people are turning their heads away from her past mistakes but if it were anyone else, they would never give this many chances to a person. She really doesn’t know how to handle her life at all without someone’s strict supervision on her–and this is who so many people look up to instead of truly successful people who are actual role models…… To read “she is putting her kids first” is so laughable – she was such a screwball of a mother all this time and only because it’s Britney do people forgive and forget in a single heartbeat. Her kids are coming first all of a sudden only because she has so many people somewhat getting through to her about what she needs to do to fix her reputation and gain some actual solid custody.

i dont think it’s right to judge people on their parenting skills when you don’t know them. for all you know, kfed could be taking the boys out on their actual birthdays. you never know.

April if you have been keeping up with the Britney news you would know that Kevin has been over to Britney a few times recentley…so the excuse that she kicked him out or that he wasn’t welcome is invalid.

Xtina thats such an idiotic comment…why would I be a closet Britney fan? How does that even make sense..would a “closet fan” write what I wrote if I liked her? Don’t hold your breath if you think I’m going to buy her album..that’s a definite no. And my comment is not trying to scream to give me attention…I don’t know any of you others who comment on here..that’s my true opinion so I wrote that..we will never know each other and I don’t really care if you pay attention to me..I just type my opinion just as everyone else does. That’s the point of commenting… Seeing that your name is Xtina – I really like Christina Auguilera – she’s so talented and has a smart head on her shoulders. Very cool lady.
