‘The Hills’: Black Tears Descending
Sunday night we were treated to a “bonus” episode of The Hills on MTV as the lead-in to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards which teased that there would be some incarceration drama on last night’s regularly scheduled ep … by the end of last night’s new ep, Lauren LC Conrad was left crying with black tears streaming down her face:

Oh yeah, last night’s ep felt much more like a usual ep of The Hills than Sunday night’s bonus ep did. We got family drama, we got friend drama, we got Lady Gaga AND we got black tears … what more can one ask for from a single ep of any show?
So … as much as I was kinda annoyed that Brody and Doug’s “jail” drama turned out to be NOTHING, I did find the two of the cute as they told their little story. I know that Brody Jenner is currently filming his new TV series Bromance but it looked to me, in last night’s ep, that he’s already found the perfect guy for him. And, I must say, I am really starting to love The Holly & Spencer Show. They rule together. It’s difficult to determine which one to root for. I’m hoping that they end up getting their own spin-off TV show … or, at the very least, they duke it out at some point this season. Any bets on who would whip whose ass? It was nice to see Whitney on last night’s ep … she was sorely missed in the “bonus” ep. She was really lacking in the facial expressions but it occurred to me that she might be saving all of her best stuff for her own spin-off show which will be set in NYC. Did it look to anyone else that Lady Gaga looked like she really hated herself for appearing on The Hills? If you watched the ep, I’m sure you caught her very OBVIOUS eye roll when Whitney and LC were trying to help zip her up in her rubber catsuit. You know what, homegirl’s gotta sell albums … but I thought it was a big mistake to feature the wrong song on the show. Just Dance is a bangin’ track, I don’t know why they didn’t use it on last night’s ep. I am not gonna lie y’all … I had my own black tears streaming down my face as I watched LC and Audrina resolve their differences. At one point, I was petting their faces on my TV screen to try and soothe their pain. I loved how LC had an answer FOR EVERYTHING. Every single point that Audrina tried to make, LC shot down … that’s how you win an argument … throw in some tears for effect and YOU WIN! It was so nice how Holly and Heidi had a hug moment as did LC and Audrina. Finally, all’s right in the world of The Hills. There was so much lurve going on, I doubt we’ll ever hear of any discord among any of them ever again! Okay, so mebbe that’s not entirely true … but for one brief moment we can imagine what it would be like without all the fighting going on … and then we realize that boring shizz like that is SO uninteresting. Lovefest better be over, y’all. I want some serious bitchiness to hit hard by the next ep. Yes? Did any of y’all join me with the tears as y’all watched last night’s ep?

Spencer is such an ass. I just don’t understand how Heidi puts up with his shit. If my boyfriend went behind my back and said something like that to my sister, he’d be packing his bags for sure.

Am I the only one who noticed when LC and Audrina had their talk, Audrina didn’t say anything. She never apologized, and never had anything to back herself up. At least Lauren had her own side to the story.

OMG, i agree with Kara. Did Heidi have plastic surgery on her brain too — i mean something is certainly missing up there. how can anyone be with such an asshole! unbelievable!!! the whole Lauren & Audrina thing is so obviously brought on by Lo’s presence. Pre-Lo, no probs, post-Lo, problems abound. I agree with Audrina said before about Lo — she is super-bitchy. She was so superficial in tonight’s episode it was laughable.” I only want the best for Audrina”(!?!) She just wants Audrina to hang out with her own friends so she can have Lauren all to herself.

i cried. spencer is a gian butthead. id slap him then and there but holly was a dummy to not call her sister when her already drama-prone boyfriend said something as mean as that. ps… heidi’s face looked like she had more work done. buit it could ahve just been the way her hair was pulle dback in pins… but she looks difff. i didnt like it.

I agree with Janeel, how in the world did Mtv allow Lo to enter the show. I mean drama is one thing, but that Lo girl is just plain boring…there is nothing dramatic about acting like a spoiled non-educated brat.

I actually had tears in my eyes as the two bff re-united. I was on Audrina’s side all along, as I think back to beginning of last season….
That whole Heidi, Spencer, Holly drama, is soooo fake!!
No one could be that mean and disrespectful to their better half and that other half actually put up with it.

My favorite part of the conversation was when Audrina complained that LC didn’t like going to shows and she said “i’ll go to shows!i bob my head awkwardly because you are my friend!”

Hola, that was pretty hilarious. But I think LC is a fakey friend–always kinda bitchy, totally didn’t stand up for Audrina against Lo (who is not just kinda, but SUPER bitchy). Audrina should have told her off better…. And Spencher–what a douche.

ok…i cried too…i just love those girls…everyone always talks about how the whole show is fake, but lc and audrina were expressing real feelings…those were real tears. they weren’t FAKING problems like fake spencer and fake heidi. i usually dvr the show so i can fast-forward through any spencer & heidi clips.

ok am i like the only one that misses the old hills? like the first and second seasons? they were atleast more believeable, or atleast to me, and didnt seem as fake. however i do like the fact that they have more whitney now!

i’ve never been on team LC, so it doesn’t surprise me that she pushed away heidi, and now, audrina. Lo may be super bitchy, but she’s honestly the best match for LC.

but yea i liked this episode a lot, heidi and spencer are becoming more and more irrelivant.. .they dont flow with the show.. i think when holly and lauren hang out, they may flow better… but yea.. good ep

I noticed that Audrina didn’t offer an apology either! I think Audrina is passive-agressive, Venting to Justin Bobby, talking shit to her co-worker, then saying “whatever, I don’t care” to Lo, and then not really having anything to say for herself when LC was knocking all her shit down.

I want to know what Lo does? Everyone seems to have jobs and work and go on dates. Yet Lo does nothing? She just adds in comments about audrina “I wish the best for her” that even Lauren knew she was pulling out her ass.
I understand that audrina would feel left out whenever they did things together so she stopped doing it, i get that. I’m glad they both said sorry and hugged it out… and yeah i did tear up a bit.

I think audrina had nothing to say during the argument was cuz LC just didn’t give her a chance to say anything. Yes, whatever LC said sounded as though she really tried to salvage the friendship by doing this and that and those words shot down whatever Audrina had to say, plus Lc’s black tears and Audrina’s soft nature, I dun think audrina had the heart to argue anymore thus the resolve. Otherwise she would have gone on to bitch about Lo who’s the cause of all these problems, but no she didn’t. She’d probably decided that LC is her friend so to hell with Lo~
I just don’t understand why LC can’t see the fact that it is Lo who’s not being very friendly. =\

LO is such a b*tch, but I’m glad Audrina & Lc finally made up. It’s just annoying how sensitive Lc is for herself, but when something is done to Audrina, she purposely looks the other way and thinks nothing of it.
I almost GAGGED when Lo said, “I really want the best for Audrina” -and the look on Lc’s face was priceless.
I just feel bad for Audrina, Lo’s probably jealous because Audrina is chill and gets all the boys being hot and all… while she gets nothing (not even her own life w/o Lc) being a troll-ish b*tch.

I think audrina is way too air-headed..and LC doesn’t have ANY real friends at all.I kind of like Lo i think the way she talks is way too funy tho hahaha havent seen this eps yet so dunno what she did to Audrina but at least she’s been around even from Laguna Beach, and hasn’t done anything really bad to LC yet like jen bunney or heidi

So I totally loathe Spencer. I can hardly stand to watch him on the screen. I hate how his mouth & lips barely move when he talks. And I hate how he looks like a ventriloquist dummy (emphasis on dummy).
