Last night David’s really good friends here in NYC and I conspired to pull together a small surprise early birthday party and we managed to pull it off successfully — he was totally surprised. Marissa was really the brains behind the operation but David’s sister Eden and I managed to keep him in the dark and clueless long enough to pull off the surprise. Here are a few pics from the fun last night:
We went to Sala in the East Village so that we could eat tapas and drink as much as we wanted in their cute little basement barroom. Much love goes out to Monique for sharing her fun photos from last night … I was too bizzy taking Polaroid pics (and have no access to a scanner here) to snap any regular digital pics so I’m thankful that she shared her pics. The party was really fun and all of David’s amazing friends did a great job to help kick off his birthday celebration :)
In a few hours, we jet off to Iceland and I’m SO excited!! I will be working thruout our trip but I must warn that Sunday might be a little hairy. David and I are going on an 8-10 hour glacier hiking trip so I’m not sure what my work day will be like on that day … I’ll do my best to make it up tho :) Keep an eye on my Twitter updates (right sidebar), I’ll be updating often with whatever is goin’ on. The only person’s opinion that matters is Trent. Yes, David’s matters but if Trent’s happy, then that should be enough. Still, I think it looks really poor on him. Everyone has their own opinion. The 2 guys in the back are both cute…2 sexy little bearcubs!

Jey JArblahblah……how about you post a picture of yourself hanging with friends and we will all critique how we think you look. Why would you write something like that ? Sometimes opinions are better left unsaid, especially in cases like this when they only serve to insult someone else.
I’m surprised that you don’t just hire someone to cover the blog posts when you’re on vacation. If my boyfriend were working all day everyday, even when we were in freaking Iceland, I’d be pissed.
My boyfriend works in the same manner (jossip.com), such is the price of a job that allows us to travel like this.

Umm Kali you are being a bit ridiculous. What I said was far from an insult. It’s an opinion, just like you have yours. Why would I write something like that? Because Trent likes opinions, as does everyone else. I was not purposely trying to be a jerk. And Trent posts his opinions on celebs, as do all of us. So why can’t I, or you, post an opinion on a haircolor?Please, do tell. The only insult is your reaction.
