Shake It Like A Polaroid Picture
After my very bizzy weekend with Nine Inch Nails and everyone at the MTV VMAs, I decided to make yesterday a DO NOTHING day. Basically, I worked, read, watched TV and ordered pizza … that’s it. Earlier in the day, tho, I did venture out to make an appointment and I managed to stumble upon a good supply of Polaroid film to snap up. My 365 project is coming along nicely but, in addition, I am trying to buy up all the Polaroid 600 film that I can so that I can take as many Polaroid pictures as I can while the instant film is still available. Trust me y’all, if you’re a fan of Polaroid instant film, you best get out there and buy it up while you still can. I’ve already taken a few pics this weekend and I’m really anxious to snap pics with all of my friends so that I can capture their beautiful faces on endangered Polaroid film. All of this Polaroidness is really giving me a lot of creative ideas … which is exactly what I was hoping to achieve from my new project.
My plans for tonight got pushed back til later in the week so I might be spending another quiet night tonight. I’d actually love another night alone … wee :)

While the Polaroid company is going to cease production of its film, Kodak and other brands will still have instant film on the market. No need for everyone to freak out about it.

The reason people are freaking out is because no other company is producing film the same size as Polaroid’s 600 film. Yet.
And yeah, unsaleable has film for the SX-70 users, but it’s expensive as hell.
I’ve got 14 boxes stashed away :B
Better get it while it’s still cheap, I’ve noticed stores are raising prices…

product placement to the max, trent. i don’t know how many times you’ve mentioned the word polaroid in that paragraph alone, not even mentioning the other posts you’ve talked about it.

Yes, Jen, I’m trying to get paid from Polaroid — a company that has already ceased production of all of their cameras and film since February … I hope my check comes soon!
I thought I was very clear that I’m a fan of this bygone era of photography and I’m really excited about making the most of the medium while I still can.

LOL! Trent that was a good response to Jen- Haters are everywhere… N E Ways…I have no doubts that you are genuine in your goals for this project. If I have any suggestions- take your time before you start your project. Get a real grasp on your objectives for it. Write it out what you want to accomplish. That really helps me out with my artistic projects. good luck. I look forward to seeing your progress.
