‘True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten Is Truly Hawt

Oh, yeah
Monday, September 29th, 2008

HBO’s new series True Blood has only been on the air for a few weeks but those of you who have seen the show are surely very familiar with actor Ryan Kwanten who plays Jason on the series (brother to Anna Paquin’s character). For those of you who don’t watch the show/know who he is … in a nutshell, he’s a very randy character with a sick body and a penchant for appearing on screen as nekkid as possible. It turns out he has that same penchant when it comes to posing for magazine photoshoots as well … behold:

After the jump, check out some NSFW uncensored fun with Mr. Kwanten

Shocker! Fran Drescher Spotted With A Hawt Younger Man

Scandal! Scandal! Scandal!
Monday, September 29th, 2008

Here are a few interesting pics of Fran Drescher, of The Nanny fame, making her way thru LAX Airport with a mysterious-looking younger man in her company. Could it be that Fran has gotten herself a hot young buck to play around with? Is this a possible new lurve connection for our dear Franny? HMMM?

Hee hee … actually, some of you may recognize this hot young buck as my good friend Jordan, who just so happens to work for Fran on her Cancer Schmancer organization. I had to have a bit of fun with these pics because, to my knowledge, I don’t believe that Jordan has been papped before. Now, I haven’t spoken to Jordan in a few weeks (what with our schedules being as crazy as they are) but I understand that he and Fran are off to Europe to do some work for Cancer Schmancer. I believe he/they will be away for about a month. Blah. I guess dinner with him is out for the foreseeable future. Oh and I gotta say … I never knew that Fran and Jordan made such a cute couple … mebbe there is a chance for romance somewhere along the way ;)

Jennifer Lopez Wants Dudes To Smell Like Her

Launches 'Deseo Men' in NYC
Monday, September 29th, 2008

Last Friday afternoon, David and Victoria Beckham descended upon Macy’s Department Store in NYC to do some in-store promo work for their new male and female fragrances called Signature. Now it’s Jennifer Lopez’s turn … but while Les Beckhams managed to whip up a massive crowd of fans, J. Lo … well … didn’t. Here are a few pics of J. Lo at Macy’s in Herald Square promoting her new men’s fragrance Deseo Men:

OY … all these celebrity fragrances, it’s really becoming a bit much, don’t y’all think? I mean, I dunno who the target market is for a J. Lo fragrance for men. I, for one, would rather choose a fragrance from a known designer rather than a concoction whipped up by a celeb (which is really giving the celeb too much credit, all they really do is offer suggestions, then approve the final product) … but I suppose there are all types of people. I can’t imagine that revealing that one is wearing a J. Lo fragrance (especially a dude) will do much to curry favor for that person (especially if he is mackin’ on someone else — female or male) but … what do I know. Do any of y’all think you’d like your men smellin’ like Jennifer Lopez?

Britney Spears Announces A New World Tour

Talks to NYC's Z100 radio station
Monday, September 29th, 2008

Earlier today we saw pics of Britney Spears making her arrival in NYC late last night and I surmised that she was in town to do some promo work for her new single Womanizer … and I was right. Early this afternoon, Britney gave an on-air interview to radio station Z100’s DJ JJ and announced that not only is her new album Circus at the near completion stage but that she will “definitely” be doing a world tour next year!!!

Click HERE to hear the interview in its entirety but essentially Brit reveals that she just “recut” and mastered some tracks to put the finishing touches on Circus, that she was surprised that she won VMAs this year since she believes she has made better videos in her career and, yes, she is promising a world tour “next year” sometime. OMG … awesome news!!! Additionally, Britney talks about what she misses most about NYC — the pizza. Gurl, I hear that. THIS interview is a must-listen. She sounds great and totally back to her cute, normal self. Woot! I say, Woot!

PITNB Readers, You Have Been Activated

The TV Guide
Monday, September 29th, 2008

Yesterday was a pretty fun day … as much as I’m in the mood to do as little as possible for as long as I can, I ended up venturing out yesterday to do a couple of very cool things. First, I made my way out to Book Soup on Sunset Blvd. to attend an in-store book reading/singing by Juliana Hatfield who is promoting her new memoir When I Grow Up. Juliana read an excerpt, then performed a song and then read and then performed back and forth for about an hour. Then she took some questions and signed some books. She was in fine form … here are a few pics from the book signing:

It was a really great event … I loved that she was so open about her writing and was so willing to share even more of her than she does with just her music. I got her to sign my book and we chatted a bit about how I personally attended two of the concerts that she wrote about in her book. She also posed for a very pretty Polaroid photo for my collection … all in all, it was a great night. Book Soup, I must add, is a kickass bookstore. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly … I ended up picking up a few books while I was there. If you’re in LA and you’ve never been there, you should check it out … it’s a great space.

After the book signing, I met up with Darion at Century City to see Eagle Eye:

While I didn’t really love the film, I can’t say that I hated it either. It was great up until the end … when you realize what is going on, then the whole things starts to fall apart. It’s action-packed and exciting … so we had fun but it’s nothing spectacular. Think War Games for the new generation … which makes me wonder if all of Shia LaBeof’s movies have to be remakes (ie. Disturbia was basically a remake of Rear Window). While I had a good time, it’s not a movie I need to see again. If you suspend all belief, I think y’all might enjoy it. At the very least, it provides a fun thrill ride. I must warn you, watch out for Billy Bob Thornton’s teeth … they are ginormous and wholly distracting. If you see the film, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

So yeah … it was fun hangin out with Darion last night:

We tend to have fun when we hang out. Tonight, I’m meeting up with D and Kirsten for a reunion dinner of sorts … you know we’re going to Chili’s to help raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital so … should be fun.

Have You Made Your Dinner Plans Yet?

'Cuz you can eat for a good cause today :)
Monday, September 29th, 2008

Just a friendly reminder that today is a Big Day at Chili’s restaurants around the country … all proceeds from food sales today will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which researches and treats pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases — and ALL patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family’s ability to pay. In order for St. Jude to be able to continue to treat patients who may not be able to afford their services, they need to raise much needed funds … which is where dining at Chili’s today comes in:

This is such an easy way for folks to help raise money for such a needy cause. What better way to give back then by enjoying a fun meal at Chili’s? I, personally, am a fan of their Chicken Crispers and I tend to pair that with a frozen margarita … MMMM :)

If, instead, you’d like to take a pass on enjoying a wonderfully delicious dining experience at Chili’s today, you can click HERE to make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital directly.

So … if you’ve yet to make your dining plans for today, may I suggest you consider dining at Chili’s? I know that I’d be much obliged and I’m sure the kids at St. Jude’s would appreciate it as well ;)
