The US debut of Kath & Kim is only about 2 weeks away and NBC is doing the final push to promote the series debut. As I’ve said all along, I’m going to give the show the full benefit of the doubt even tho I know it won’t be exactly like the amazing original Australian version of the show. I do trust, tho, that Molly Shannon and Selma Blair will be able to make me laugh … and that, over all, is what I’m most looking forward to. being australian, living in the u.s. and growing up with the original kath and kim – i am shitting myself!!!!!!!!!!!! i really want it to be good and i want it to reflect the original and i want it to be its own show and i dont want it to bring down the original!!! im just really nervous about the whole thing. oh, and i care about the election and global warming too!!!

Why condemn this knockoff when you have not seen it. You are ok with The Office knockoff which is good but not as good as the original.

I’m an Aussie, and Gina Riley and Jane Turner are the ONLY Kath and Kim. As much love as I have for Molly Shannon (and Selma Blair in smaller amounts), nothing will beat the original.
