Janet Jackson Hospitalized
Janet Jackson, who is currently on her Rock Witchu Tour, was suddenly struck ill during her soundcheck yesterday evening in Montreal, Canada and had to be rushed to the hospital, needless to say she did not take the stage for last night’s performance:
Janet Jackson has been hospitalized, a rep said Monday. The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, according to a statement released by W&W Public Relations. Jackson, 42, is being monitored at the hospital, and hopes to reschedule the show. No further information was given about Jackson’s condition.
Because there is very little official info about this hospitalization, there isn’t much to go on other than speculation and conjecture. While I would assume that her illness would have to be pretty severe to warrant a trip to the hospital, my hope is that her affliction isn’t serious and that she will be back on the road again soon. Get better, JJ … there are hordes of fans out there wishing you well and awaiting your return to the concert stage.

I always assume anything like this to do w Janet Jackson is a PR ploy. I dunno . . . she strikes me as a rather desperate chick, but then again, she’s a Jackson and they’re all pretty desperate.

Janet is giving all for this tour and I am still sad I missed it. She is doing 30 songs , which includes most of her old hits. That is something Madonna will NEVER do. Janet cares about her fans and has no issues doing the classics. I really respect that and I hope she is ok and healthy. The outfits for this tour seem a bit insane as I saw on YouTube, but who cares. The woman is fantastic!

she only got like a 3 star rating for her toronto show. apprently (if i remember the article right) theres alot of costume changes that end up taking forever, so it slows the pace of the show down.
i hope shes alright, but with such little details there, it does sound like a slight PR trick

Heard on the radio this morning speculation that her falling ill was somehow a result of her boyfriend throwing up on her at his b’day party the other night…
Not that they have any sort of concrete proof to base that on though.

In the media, there has been rumored that Janet has an eating disorder. All in all, she’s caused quite a stir with her yo-yo diet, amazing abs and different tips to keep in shape. Janet’s workout, designed by Tony Martinez, her personal trainer, is a very intense one. Her routine includes: upper body work and legs, twice a week, 5-6 days of cardiovascular exercise, from running, to basketball and kickboxing.
