You know, I was just thinking that it’s been ages since we’ve heard from Amy Winehouse or happened upon any of her crazy antics and I mused that perhaps she was off getting her life back in order. After all, it had been weeks since we last saw the trainwreck on the loose on the streets of London. Almost as if the manic loon could hear my thoughts, she comes out of seclusion to perform at the End of Summer Ball in London’s Berkeley Square last night and reminds us just how tragic the poor woman still is. After her abysmal performance at the Ball, Amy freaked out and kinda went nuts on the streets of London which, sadly, is a sight that we are all too familiar seeing:

It was a high society ball attended by a host of VIPs in their most glamorous gowns. But somehow Amy Winehouse didn’t get the dress code quite right. Wearing scruffy animal print shorts, the troubled star looked shockingly skinny and ill as she performed at the End of Summer Ball in London’s Berkeley Square last night. With her gaunt physique, unkempt hair, smudged makeup and scratches on her legs the singer looked more unwell than ever. The 25-year-old admitted she was on the verge of a breakdown after a night of worryingly shambolic behaviour — even by her standards. The troubled star embarrassed herself by ruining her 12-year-old goddaughter’s debut singing performance and lashing out at a photographer before collapsing and sobbing: “Life can’t go on. I can’t do this any more.” The singer was at the Berkeley Square Ball in Mayfair to provide backing vocals for her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield. But onlookers were shocked at how out of it Amy was, and the audience at the charity bash cringed as she grabbed and hugged Dionne as she tried to perform. The pair were joined on stage by a live band and one of Amy’s backing singers for the three-song set. We’re told: “It was tragic — she seemed totally wasted. She was jumping all over Dionne as the poor girl tried to sing for the crowd. Amy didn’t really sing a single note — it sounded more like she was grunting down the mic.” At the end of the performance, Amy’s backing singer told the crowd: “Isn’t she great? She’s only 12-years-old!” But Amy crowed: “She’s better than you — it doesn’t matter how old she is.” She then roamed from table to table, demanding to meet famous people … Our spy said: “Amy was then asked to pose for the event’s official photographer, but flipped and tried to headbutt him. She looked like a woman possessed.” But backstage things took a turn for the worse. Our spy adds: “Amy collapsed backstage in tears. She kept saying, ‘Life can’t go on, I can’t do this’.” It was a sorry return to the public eye for Amy, who has kept a low profile recently. She arrived at her Camden home at the end of the night with only one shoe and looking horribly disheveled.
Seriously, I wanna know … what the hell happened to her shoe? How does one lose a shoe and not even know it? I also wanna know how long a person can live like this before something horribly tragic happens … I mean, it can’t get much more tragic … she really does look like a dying woman. You know, at her worst, Britney Spears acted very similarly and she is now successfully working her way back to a happy, healthy future. Amy can do it too but she has to have to want to turn her life around. Nothing that I’ve seen has given any indication that she wants to get better. Sadly, I’m afraid the time will eventually come when it’ll be too late to save herself. Sad.

Britney was no where near this tragic mess, although her story was pretty tragic. Amy needs help. Her family needs to step in to save her, otherwise I don’t think she’ll make it.
umm got disagree britney even at her worst wasn’t ever this bad
Generally, you’re right … but the image of Britney attacking that car with an umbrella isn’t too far off.
Maybe this is the last of those horrible, dirty, shoes.
I don’t think Britney ever reached the levels that Amy Winehouse seems to be in…even when she was at her very worst. I was thinking the same thing a few days ago, that it had been AGES since I’ve seen her half-dressed, disheveled, and with a panicked look on her face in the streets of London…but here it is! Oh Amy, get it together, these pictures are so tragic.
Britney – even at her absolutely lowest point – was positively glowing with health, when compared to Amy. This woman is on total self-destruct, and I do fear that if nothing gives within the next month or two she won’t live. Very sad! Really!
Britney was never, ever this bad. Amy seems to have some sort of serious mental health issues. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was mildly schizophrenic. She seems so out of touch with reality and not at all interested in appearing together or healthy–which even on her worst days, Britney seemed concerned (albeit very, very slightly) with the appearance of health and togetherness. It doesn’t appear to me that Amy is even aware of how unstable she appears, which makes me even more concerned for her.
I think it’s a toss-up as to whose seen worse days, but it’s just such a tragedy to see Amy like this. I really really love her music becuase it’s just so honest and original, but maybe she was being a little too honest when she writes songs like “You Know I’m No Good”. Such a shame…hopefully Amy and Amy alone sees the light of day and gets herself the help she needs.
How did she even get invited to perform at this event?
Addiction is a tragic thing. People feel they can’t live without (whatever it is) they’re dependent on and clearly it’s THE ONE thing they need to steer away from, IN ORDER to live healthily. I think that’s why many people think they can manage it until someone else steps in to help and shows (not convinces) them the truth. Its a very sad state of affairs.
she looks like the walking dead. this is really a sad situation to see this talent in. i wish her success in her rehabilitation efforts.
Wow what a train wreck. Sad.
wow she is truly a mess. i love her music and i really wish she would get it together. she has people who love her and can help her. can her family not involuntarily commit her? it might be the only way to help her
Girl needs to be restrained.
Hey Trent,
So glad you and David had fun in Iceland! It looks so beautiful in the pictures. As for Miss Amy, oh dear. I do love her, but man is she a mess at times. Even so, the modern day Janis Joplin. Maybe she should play her in the movie — lots of method acting there!
After I read the article I said “what the hell happened to her shoe?” Then I LOL’d at the next sentance where you said exactly that!!!
Great minds…

Poster child for Just say no
At least she hasn’t spawned. It must be terrible for her family to see her like this (and yes, they need to step in and have her committed to a mental health facility for her own good) but at least there are no kids involved.
Poor thing, it’s really getting painful to watch her downward spiral.
