Jennie Garth, who is currently riding a new wave of nostalgic fame due to her new permanent stint on 90210, was spied sitting for a magazine photoshoot here in LA yesterday afternoon. By the looks on her face, it doesn’t look like she was having a good time:

I wouldn’t say that Jennie’s facial expressions are quite at the level of the master herself, Miss Whitney Port, but it looks like she can hold her own. Dunno what exactly was causing Jennie to make such sour faces but it’s kinda hard to hate on the girl no matter what she does. I’m a big Kelly Taylor fan so she has my heart.

The cast of Gossip Girl has been chosen to lead off Entertainment Weekly’s Fall TV Preview in this week’s issue but only Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester have been chosen to appear on the magazine cover … interesting, no? Newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were snapped, gasp, together in NYC last night as the pair were making their exit from rehearsals from this weekend’s Fashion Rocks event at Radio City Music Hall. I believe the last time that Mr. & Mrs. Cannon were seen together in public was back in July after the couple returned home from their honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World in Florida. Here are a few pics of the happy couple last night:

Now, just because WE don’t see Mimi and Nick out in public together doesn’t at all mean that anything is wrong … but it is weird that they are keeping such a low profile. I suppose the lovebirds may be totally happy keeping themselves sequestered away from prying eyes as they enjoy their matrimoniness together. I must give props to Mariah for joining the impressive list of musicians who have decided to perform for the Stand Up to Cancer event tonight. Gwen Stefani made her first post-baby public appearance yesterday afternoon as she was snapped making her way out of a medical center here in LA … sadly, she was sans baby but, on the plus side, she was lookin’ happy, healthy and like her usual cute self:

As y’all know, we’ve seen hubby Gavin Rossdale all over town lately (specifically HERE, HERE and HERE) but this is the first time we’ve seen Gwen out and about since she gave birth to her second son Zuma Nesta Rock a few weeks ago. Now that Gwen has reemerged onto the scene, mebbe we’ll be getting our first look at the Zumster very soon. Gwen looks supercute, right?

Fresh from taping The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago, IL earlier this week, 14-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps made his way to Las Vegas, NV to enjoy a little playtime. More specifically, Phelpsie made a bee-line for the Playboy Club in order to make some new friends with some of the establishment’s employees … Radar magazine has the scoop:

Radar Staff Writer Neel Shah spent the evening in Las Vegas (more on that later), and was kind enough to send along these fine photos of Olympic hero Michael Phelps “massively skeeving on girls at the Playboy Club” in that city’s Palms Casino. Neel notes that the Olympian was accompanied by an entourage of striped-shirted schmucks, one of whose sole duties appeared to be pointing a flashlight at anyone attempting to photograph the swimmer during his efforts to obtain a gold medal in ass-grabbing. (”It was unreal,” says Neel. “Within moments of entering the club he summoned two girls over… I’ve never seen such an aggressive grip.”)

Well, I guess we now know that Michael Phelps isn’t playing coy when he denies that he has a girlfriend, clearly the lad is enjoying his ability to play the field. It makes sense that he would want to keep his private life private, especially when his private life involves offering butt massages to strippers ;) Please, I cannot hate the boy for doing his thing … I think it’s great that Phelpsie is enjoying the spoils of victory right now … hopefully, tho, his present enjoyment won’t require the need for antibiotics :)

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly turned down an offer of $700,000 to pose nude in the 55th anniversary issue of Playboy magazine … which I find very interesting, considering she was totally fine with posing totally nekkid in the pages of New York magazine earlier this year completely free of charge:

IT’S once nude, twice shy for Lindsay Lohan. The Sapphic-leaning star has turned down a $700,000 offer to do an eight-page topless spread in Playboy’s 55th-anniversary issue this January. “If there’s nudity, then the answer’s no . . . She’s not going down the [New York] magazine road again,” Lohan’s rep told Playboy’s creative consultant, Hal Lifson, referring to Lindsay’s naked Marilyn Monroe tribute last winter. Lifson said he hoped to have Lohan do a tribute to ’60s sex kitten Ann-Margret and her film “Kitten With a Whip,” which is one of Lohan’s faves.

Psh, I’m totally with her on this. That Playboy magazine would offer her anything less than $1 million bucks is a joke — an insult, even! It’s interesting, tho, that she’s now taken up this position of no more nudity. There seems to be a notion that the New York magazine spread (where Lindsay recreated famous nekkid photos of Marilyn Monroe) was artistic and, therefore, OK and Playboy is more akin to porn … but nekkid is nekkid, y’all. I say, if they up the offer to a million bucks, she reconsider … yes?

Romeo Beckham celebrated his 6th birthday with his family and friends yesterday at the Universal Citywalk here in SoCal and he managed to do so incognito. Romeo thought it would be totally fetch to show up at his birthday party dressed as Batman … which is infinitely cooler than dressing up like the Red Power Ranger like his little brother Cruz Beckham did:

VB, it must be said, looked her usual chic self in her stylish orange dress … the eldest Beckham child, Brooklyn, opted out of dressing up in costume (guess he’s too old for such frivolities) and daddy David Beckham opted out of attending the birthday celebration altogether.
