Earlier this week we got to see Daniel Radcliffe on the cover of the new issue of Details magazine … but that cover did nothing to prepare me for his photospread inside the mag. The video interview that Details posted on their site, it turns out, teased for the look of his photospread … check out the pics:

Yeah, I’m not entirely sure what is going on with the styling of this shoot but … I’m not a fan. I’m not sure which disturbs me more, the Dragon Ball Z-looking hair-do or the Star Trek-inspired outfit — neither of which really seems suited for Danny boy. Honestly, I’m at a loss … thoughts?

Shannen Doherty paid a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman last night in order to do some promo work for her new show 90210. It was, apparently, Shannen‘s first visit to the show since 1996. Here are a few pics of Shannen making her way out of the CBS Studios to post for pics and sign a few autographs for her adoring fans:

On the actual show itself, Shannen wore a completely different outfit (tho, I think I prefer this one) … and she managed to pull off a very charming interview, I thought. She talks about, among other things, her Catholic-inspired tattoo, the trials and tribulations of living in Malibu, CA and, of course, 90210. Shane West showed up at Nylon magazine’s TV Issue release party at the Roosevelt Hotel here in Hollywood, CA last night rockin’ a new ‘do that made it look like he was auditioning to join a certain goth/punk/metal band known as Misfits:

The Misfits (not to be confused for THESE Misfits) are known for, among other things, their trademark exaggerated mohawk hair-do … a look that Shane West looks to be a fan of. The fact that the young Mr. West was also rockin’ some deep black bags under his eyes really made the whole look come together, I think. Do we like?

MSN got their hands on secret new video footage of Britney Spears rehearsing with a team of dancers in a studio. The troop is working on a routine to a new song, at least, a song I’ve never heard before … check it out:

The big thing on my agenda yesterday was my date at the beauty salon for a haircut. I liked the much shorter cut that I got last time so I opted for the same thing this time. I have a few things to attend this weekend, two of which I am WAY TOO excited about, so I wanted to make sure that I look good.

Other than that, it was a nice boring evening/night in. I read, watched some Battlestar Gallactica (I’m almost caught up with regular airings) and read a little and that was that. Trust me, it was the perfect night … I wasn’t running around, I didn’t have to be anywhere … it was divine!!

Thanks to those of you who messaged words of encouragement for my new daily mobile photo project … I especially loved hearing about those of you who have either done something like this yourself or know someone who did. As I hoped, it has sparked a whole new level of inspiration … but then again, it’s a new idea, which is to be expected. We’ll see how inspired I am in 4 months time, considering I’m able to hang in there and keep it up. I think I can … we’ll see.

Radio station Z100 in NYC has world premiered Xtina Aguilera‘s new song Keeps Gettin’ Better on the radio and is now offering the song for streaming online:

I’ve listened to the song a couple of times and I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Something about the cadence beat of the song doesn’t grab me right off but mebbe after a few listens it’ll grow on me. The lyrics are a bit cheeky but … nothing revolutionary. Jennie Garth, who is currently riding a new wave of nostalgic fame due to her new permanent stint on 90210, was spied sitting for a magazine photoshoot here in LA yesterday afternoon. By the looks on her face, it doesn’t look like she was having a good time:

I wouldn’t say that Jennie‘s facial expressions are quite at the level of the master herself, Miss Whitney Port, but it looks like she can hold her own. Dunno what exactly was causing Jennie to make such sour faces but it’s kinda hard to hate on the girl no matter what she does. I’m a big Kelly Taylor fan so she has my heart.

The cast of Gossip Girl has been chosen to lead off Entertainment Weekly‘s Fall TV Preview in this week’s issue but only Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester have been chosen to appear on the magazine cover … interesting, no? Newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were snapped, gasp, together in NYC last night as the pair were making their exit from rehearsals from this weekend’s Fashion Rocks event at Radio City Music Hall. I believe the last time that Mr. & Mrs. Cannon were seen together in public was back in July after the couple returned home from their honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World in Florida. Now, just because WE don’t see Mimi and Nick out in public together doesn’t at all mean that anything is wrong … but it is weird that they are keeping such a low profile. I suppose the lovebirds may be totally happy keeping themselves sequestered away from prying eyes as they enjoy their matrimoniness together. I must give props to Mariah for joining the impressive list of musicians who have decided to perform for the Stand Up to Cancer event tonight.
