Woot! Woot! Even tho Britney Spears’s manager, Larry Rudolph, broke our hearts with the news that Britney Spears will not be performing at the 2008 MTV VMAs (despite reports to the contrary by the insidious hair stylist Kim Vo), MTV announced this afternoon that Britney WILL BE OPENING the VMAs this Sunday:

Britney’s back — for REALS — and honestly, we’re probably as amazed and eagerly anxious as you are. Except for those of you hardcore Britney fans who aren’t shocked at all; both Britney’s personal life and career have been on an upswing, and her just-announced appearance at this Sunday’s VMAs may be just the beginning of her total transformation after a chaotic, drama-filled year.

Brilliant. I’d've preferred that she perform but this is the perfect next best thing. I’m sure MTV has cooked up an ingenious way for Britney to get the party started … I can’t wait to see what they’ve got planned for us this Sunday night, Live! Amazing, amazing news … I just *know* it’s gonna be a moment NOT TO BE MISSED … just wait and see. What do y’all think about this great news?

HMMMMM … it would appear that Balthazar Getty made his way over to the UK shores for a quick trip to see his presumed paramour Sienna Miller. Getty sneakily made his way into town but got caught on his way out of town (he was snapped en route back to the States at Heathrow Airport). Sienna, too, was seemingly caught … she was snapped coming out of Balthazar’s hotel wearing a men’s watch on her left wrist — perhaps a token of his affection?

Later on, Sienna was in no mood to pose for photos … mebbe she was feeling guilty about something? True, it’s impossible to know what, if anything, transpired between Balthazar and Sienna in that hotel together — but I think I’ve got a pretty good idea. I mean, he flies all the way to London with one carry-on travel bag (nice, LV, I must add) for a quick trip and then it’s back home to SoCal? Sounds like a booty call to me. The couple were very careful to avoid being seen together so … I guess it’s possible that they never once ran into one another the whole time he was there. HMMMMM. What do y’all think?

Yesterday afternoon I was pretty much in no mood to do anything, having just returned home from my week in Detroit, I was looking forward to just chillin’ at home with a good book and some bad TV … but one call from my boy Darion changed my mind. Over the weekend, D went and got himself a brand new Toyota Prius which he was dying to show me:

Folks, this ain’t just any Prius … it’s a fully-loaded touring edition which has EVERY option available on the car (touchscreen, voice-activated navigation, rear camera, etc.) which I know he got just to try and make me jealous ;) Seriously, tho, I’m so happy for him … Darion really deserves a new car. He went from a gas guzzling SUV to a kickass Prius … so he gets karma points too :)

Since we decided to hang out and share new car stories, we grabbed some sushi at The Grove and decided to see the new Kiefer Sutherland movie Mirrors:

Blah … it was so bad, I wish we hadn’t seen it to tell the truth. I think I got all swept up in those hawt Kiefer beach pictures that I figured, What the hell! Seriously, the movie was just really, really bad. Basically there are these killer mirrors that kill people in the grossest ways possible — that’s it. It reminded me of the time that I decided to see Darkness Falls ‘cuz it starred the amazing Emma Caufield (Anya from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and turned out to be a piece of crap movie about a killer tooth fairy (totally serious). Ugh. We were bummed but had fun anyways … Darion kept doing creepy, crawly fingers on my arm while he said THE MEEE-ROOOORS to try and scare me … it worked, better than the movie did ;(

Ah well.

This afternoon, I’m back to taking meetings again … but I really think I’m gonna make tonight a quite night in. I’m tired, y’all.
