Who Is This Unmasked Man?

A peek at what could've been
August 28th, 2008

Okay, no hints … can you guess who this man is?

If you take a good look at the man’s facial features, I think you can deduce who it is. After the jump, find out if you’re correct …

Okay, it’s a bit of a trick … the pic is a digital extrapolation of what Michael Jackson MIGHT look like as he turns 50 years old (on August 29th) IF he hadn’t had so much plastic surgery done to his face … a far cry from what the man has actually become, this from the Daily Mail:

A middle-aged man wearing pyjamas is being pushed in a wheelchair down a sidewalk by an assistant. He is gaunt and frail-looking. His skin seems to be peeling. His fingernails are a sickening shade of yellow-brown. Beneath a red Marines baseball cap a surgical mask is visible, covering the bottom half of his face. A pair of large sunglasses shield the top. Three children walk ahead – two boys and a girl. All seem happy and look adorable in colourful clothing. Their baseball caps do not seem a deliberate attempt to shield their faces. “Slow down,” the man commands in a hoarse whisper, but the children ignore him and quickly cross the street to stand in front of a bookshop. When the man in the wheelchair finally catches up, one of the children dutifully holds the door open as he is wheeled inside. “Thank you,” he mutters weakly. All seems calm, but then – just as the children are about to follow the man into the shop – a stranger approaches the smallest of them. “Was that…?” she begins to ask. The boy is about to answer, when a large man steps between them. “No. That was not,” he says, taking the boy by the hand and rushing him inside. But, just before the door swings closed, the young boy turns to his inquisitor, smiles broadly and mouths just two words: Michael Jackson.

And this is what Wacko Jacko looks like today, this pic of the alleged King of Pop was snapped at Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV last night:

Yeesh! Clearly the man is not well … I mean, who goes out in public wearing a tuxedo jacket and pajama pants like this? OY! It’s funny to think of what might’ve been had Jackson’s life not skewed so far into the world of seeming insanity. The digital mock-up is actually quite handsome, had he allowed himself to grow into maturity without all the surgery he would’ve turned out much better looking than he does now. Well, at least he made it to 50 … that has to account for something, right?

If I looked like that I think I would hide my face too. :(

  3. Malcolm McCrae Says:

Is that not his wax figure?!? It looks like it a lot.

  4. LOVECarrie Says:

That last pic is gotta be a wax figure….no way he looks that good. (Well, if you call that good!)

Like Chris Rock once said, “Only in America can someone be born a black man and end up looking like a white woman…”

  5. Leah Says:

I guessed right.. what a tragedy that man has become.

  6. Lauraloo Says:

    one word: crizzazy.
    sad, just sad.
It is frightening that this person is a parent – I fear for his children. :(

  7. Alisa Says:

    I can’t believe I have to share a b-day w/this man/thing.

  8. JHop Says:

Michael was so handsome right up until Thriller, even. We had such cruses on him as children. It makes me sad to see that the turmoil and drama in his life have overshadowed his career and unquestionable talent.

  9. Winona Says:

Oh gracious – picture #1 looks 100 times better, that’s for sure. I’d have to echo everything said in JHop’s post as well.

  10. wendell Says:

neither one looks that great to me.

  11. Mrs. Shermender Says:

So…he would have looked just like his bro Jermaine!

  12. Wendlel's Mom Says:

    Wendell…STFU!!!

  13. Nicola Says:

It’s still amazing how much he looks like Janet though XD
His children are going to be sooo damaged :(

  14. Ouisa Says:

He looks more like Latoya now, IMO. But in any case, its a shame the media constantly has to ostracize him for his appearance, without any reflection on what pushes people like MJ to do what he has done to himself or the other millions of people who have procedures done to turn back the hands of time or try and achieve a look that unattainable. Then as soon as someone has a little work done, they are torn apart for that too.

The fact is Michael Jackson has more musical talent than most of the “artists” out there today combined, and has certainly left a musical legacy that will live on for generations.

    HOLY SHIT.
    Seriously?

[...] If you just subtract the fifteen nose jobs, permanent eyeliner, cheek implants, lightened skin and carved-out cleft chin, Michael Jackson really is a handsome man!  [Pink is the New Blog] [...]

  17. Hot_Hand_Harry Says:

My mom and I, and everyone, really, always said he was such a handsome little kid, and then he went and did what he did to his face and everything. I always thought he was trying to look like Superman, because of the lock of hair curled over his forehead, and his obsession with flying, a la Peter Pan, and his admiration of Christopher Reeve and Marlon Brando, who played Superman and Superman’s father in the movies. Some of the production credits of the Thriller video were even the same as the Superman movies. He even wore a similar Sgt. Pepper-looking outfit that Superboy wore in the comics.

  18. Jane Says:

Sad but true story: Back in the late 80s – when Michael was still pretty much taken seriously as a performer – my friend used to babysit for a black family. I remember one afternoon the little boy – who was about 7 years old – said he wished he was white. When my friend asked him why and told him was beautiful the way he was he said ‘cuz everyone wants to be white, even Michael Jackson. I wonder how many other children of color got a disturbing message about color when a national hero does everything he can to alter his African genetics.

  19. mdu Says:

i blame it all on pepsi! it was all down hill for MJ when he got burned on the set of his pepsi commercial when part of his hair went up in flames.

  20. julie Says:

How sad – he was such a handsome guy, and he’s mutilated himself. It really does suck. I’d prefer to look at Jermaine any day!

  21. Jay Says:

Jane thats so sad to hear about the 7 year old boy
but i don’t think many black people want to be white.
I’m black and I’m fine with my skin colour. It just depends
how your raised. If your raised to appreciate the way you look
I don’t think you’ll think about such trivial things as skin colour.

I pity Michael Jackson, all that surgery and for what? It didn’t make him look better, it actually took away his looks, and showed his insecurities with himself to the world.

  22. Ella Says:

obviously he’s really sick, it’s actually really sad.

  23. Jane Says:

Hey Jay ~ I agree w you. My neice is a beautiful mix and she’s very proud of both her heritages and cultures. The little boy I was talking about lived in a predominating white area and I think he was picked on (let me just say he is now a gorgeous man!!! And no longer feels that way – doesn’t even remember it). As for Michael Jackson, he was much better looking the way God made him. I wish he had given himself the chance to be a the handsome man he could have become.

  24. tanya Says:

Having read the accompanying article, he seems to have become a shell of a man. And as the writer described, he seems to be quick ill. I just hope he isn’t suffering from some illness.

  25. rednexmama Says:

I’m pretty sure the colour of his skin is due to pigmentation disorder he has, not skin whitening. Apparently that’s how the glove thing got started, since that’s where his skin started to fade first, he used the glove to cover it up. Too bad that can’t all the other crazy stuff, though.

  26. Ladybug Says:

Can I just quickly remind everybody as MDU also mentioned that he had an accident which burnt his skin and his hair. He had to have several operations to fix his face and repair his skin. Beside the fact that his dad made him go on stage at the age of 4 to perform. That is no way to grow and now people are scared for his kids. I am pretty sure they’re living a better life then he had at that age.

  27. Carmen. Says:

    I knew it. :)

  28. Marie Says:

Happy birthday to you Michael. You rules. You are the best.Lets the empty heats talking their shits.
Today we celebratin YOU.You are the King of this universe.
Peace and love to all of us.

  29. Ali Di Says:

I feel sorry for Michael because it is obvious that he had low self-esteem…he is still musically one of the most influential artists of all time, it’s just sad that he could never accept his looks.

  30. Jasmine Says:

    Poor Michael <3
I wish he had been happy with himself the way he was before. -sigh- But I’m so sick of people making fun of him. He’s just another celebrity thats been tortured by the media. It’s got to stop.

  31. SoUnsual Says:

Yeah I saw these pics Today. he is fucking weird

  32. SoUnsual Says:

Oh my god. I just saw the first pic. Wow Thats Amazing. Thats what he would like.

  33. Cassie Says:
