‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ Gets New Promo Pics
Here are a few new promo pics for the upcoming second season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles which will be debuting on FOX on Monday September 8 … you will note that all the usual suspects are included — Lena Headey (as Sarah Connor), Thomas Dekker (as John Connor), Summer Glau (as a Terminator) and Brian Austin Green (as Derek Reese). Additionally, new cast member and former (current? I’m not sure if the band is still together) Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson is also included:
OMG, seriously, I cannot believe that Shirley Manson is making the move to TV. I love her in Garbage but I think I can love her on this show as well. Shirley will be playing Catherine Weaver who is described as “the high-powered CEO of a major technology company Zeira Corp” which makes it sound like she might be a bad guy … or possibly a good guy somewhere down the line. OMG … I don’t even care, I just can’t wait to see her on the show. I love her Scottish brogue … I hope she keeps it for the show. If I have to hear her speak with an American accent, I’ll poke out my ear drums. She rules and I’m so happy that she’s gonna be on my TV on a weekly basis :)

I CANT WAIT FOR THIS! Shirley is amazing and I think she’s going to be great in this! At least it’s something until her solo album comes out. Warner Bros. should stop holding it hostage already!

Is Lena Headey playing Dekker’s mom? How? She doesn’t even remotely look old enough to have given birth to someone that age. Or is there a twist that explains that?

Hmm. I intensely dislike Dekker, after that kerfuffle over the gay character on Heroes, and I found his performance as John Connor less than compelling. But I too love Shirley Manson, and Brian Austin Green looks all kinds of hot in that pic, so maybe I’ll give S2 a chance. But if Dekker doesn’t quit his whining, I’m out.

Hey Deb, I completely agree with you about Dekker and that gay character debacle. Only reason the writers wanted that storyline is because he is gay IRL. My brother works in the Sarah Connor Chronicles set and she knows for a fact he is gay, and he constantly has men “sleep over” in his trailer.
also, he tells me they are all down to earth and really cool except for Brian Green who is completely obnoxious.
BTW Dekker and Green look alike in the posters, I can see a family resemblance (for the series, I mean- they did great casting)
Oh yeah, and my last name isn’t Knight lol

I love this show, I think that it’s amazing. It’s definitely in my top 3 on TV. Screw Shirley Manson though, the show was already awesome without her.

I’ve seen a promo and Shirley DOES get to keep her accent! It’s totally swoon-worthy too. She’s playing a bad guy, the head of the company that creates SkyNet. ;)
