Yesterday’s day in the city was fun but HOT. We did our best to stay as cool as possible but even 30 seconds in the sun was a bit too much to bear … but bear it we did and had a great day. We started out with a stroll along the Seine enjoying the Paris Plages (the city of Paris sets up sand and beach chairs and games, etc. all along the Seine river to emulate a beach feeling in the middle of the city) as we made our way for lunch at Cafe Marly inside the Louvre:

We went for a ride on the big Ferris Wheel near Les jardins des Tuileries and generally just enjoyed the city … in the shade as much as possible. For dinner, Steph had me try escargots for the first time and even tho I was a bit worried I would hate eating snails I found that I really loved them … I ended up eating 5 :)
Today is our last full day in the city … we leave for NYC tomorrow. I will try to post some in the AM but I’m not sure if there’ll be time, as it’s a travel day. At the very least, I’ll be sure to post some fun pics from my amazing week here in Paris. Oh la la!

Aww, Trent… you make me wanna go back to Paris!
I’m glad you had so much fun there and that you got to go everywhere.
Me and my boo spent Christmas in Paris and it was a WONDERFUL time.

PS: nevermind the snails, what the heck is in front of them? I hope it’s bread.

Hi Trent! I’m sad we’ll miss you in Paris. My husband and I are honeymooning in Paris and Italy and we’ll be arriving there on August 2. I’ll try to check out your blog while we’re there for some of your Paris tips from this past week. Bon Voyage!
I echo Anne’s sentiments. Whenever you put pictures up on your site, it looks like you have such good friends and you all seem to have a good time whenever you get together. Can I hang with you guys sometime? I’m glad you had fun despite the Delta debacle. Get home safe.
Hey guys!!!
Come to Vendôme. It’s in 42 minutes of Paris in TGV. I like you!!!!
Snails really aren’t that bad! I was surprised too! Come home already! America misses you!!!!

I too love that you keep carrying around the French flag. You’re adorable.
While it is nice that you have friends and like to travel, I come here for celeb gossip, and i feel more and more of your personal life keeps infiltrating. Please keep it to a minimum. you’re not a celebrity.
If you don’t like to read about his personal life, you don’t have to read it. Some people like it, so they read it. It’s pretty simple.
