Ryan Adams Misses His ‘Bug’
Pink reader Niki gave me the head’s up that musician (and genius) Ryan Adams added a link to an interesting message on his official website that lists the Top 10 Ways to be a Gentleman. While the list is cute and could be referring to any of his previous ladyloves, the last sentence on the page seems awfully poignant and too cute to be meant for anyone other than his most recent girlfriend Mandy Moore. Perhaps I am not the only one lamenting the loss of R-Andy M-Adams. Could Ryan be sending out a secret message to his lost love in this very public way? Here is a screencap of Ryan’s entire message:
HMMM … I mean, it’s totes impossible to be absolutely sure who this message is meant for but I have the sneaking suspicion that Ryan is referring to and possibly trying to reach out to Mandy Moore. Ignore the cameras appears to refer to the paparazzi that began following Ryan and Mandy when it was discovered that they were dating. “Bug” seems like a cute little nickname that could be attributed to her, don’tcha think?

I’m so disappointed in Ryan. He pines for that oafish pouty-face wannabe, and he also thinks “gentlemen” is a singular noun. If his music weren’t so damn good…

It also says “Wild Hope” on his main page which was the name of her last album. that could just be a Ryan Adams thing but i don’t know his music

So cute! I have a friend who calls her baby, “bug”. I think it is a good nickname! I hope they get back together, esp. if it was just over paparazzi!

the fifth step, repeat, makes it ten steps….i have no idea who ryan adams is…i just remember reading an article about someone calling out for him to play a famous, cheesy Bryan Adams song at one of his concerts and him flipping out and stopping the show to have the poor guy ejected from the venue. Ever since then, I’ve never really cared to find out what his music is like since he seems like kind of a douche.

“…poor guy…”? This guy paid whatever for a ticket to come to a concert and either a) have no fucking idea who he was seeing or b)thought he’d enhance everybody else’s enjoyment of the show by making an elementary school name-joke? Ryan Adams did him a huge favor.
The great thing about being perceived as a douche though: it saves on having genuine douches bother to check out your music. Mind you: it doesn’t save on having them post on blogs to show how cool and pointedly clueless they’re being by avoiding you.
