I’m also one of the “rabid fans” and I thought Breaking Dawn was amazing! Parts of it are a bit slow, but overall it was probably my favorite! Hope you enjoy the rest of the books.

how can you fans be angry with those who weren’t satisfied with BD? i’m not too thrilled about it and don’t think it’s meyer’s best work, but it doesn’t mean i’m not fans of hers or the twilight saga. so CALM the fuck down and let people think what they want.

I loved the books. People hated Breaking Dawn but I liked it. I’ve seen it get an A- in Time and a D in E.W. Either you love it or hate it. Either way the series rules and the movie is going to rock.

I love the Twilight series, and Breaking Dawn was my favorite, I loved how it ended, Ms Meyer wrote the first book when she was 29, and she wrote the book for woman her age, and the fans range from 12 to 82 years old. I read somewhere that they made her tone down the violence and sexual type scenes since a lot of the readers are young. The story is so beautiful, I mean what is more beautiful then true love. Enjoy all the books, I know I did,
and see the movie on December 12th

IT IS FICTION!!!! The story is about vampires. How can people seriously be so angry about a story that is pure fantasy?? All in all the books are a good story. Are they groundbreaking? No. They are what they are: pure entertainment. For all those that have made it their life mission to make sure that everyone knows how much they hate the books, pull your panties out of a wad and move on. Write your own story if you think that you can do better. We need more great authors in this world anyway. Stephanie Meyer should be commended for sparking interest in young readers, no matter how silly you think the storyline is.

Well I’m in a HP book club and all the ladies are reading Twilight so I thought “what the heck, I love Vampires, I’ve been reading Vampire Kisses series, which is for teens as well, why not”?
So far I’m in the middle of Twilight and its cute. I’m 29, so I just pretend I’m 16 again and its a nice read. I also got the next 2 and will keep on till the end.
Just keep in mind folks, Steph is no Tolkien and you won’t have your hopes up!

nat! we are reading the historian right now in book club. you are right, its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy better than any of the twilight series

posh! i so concur with your assessment of the series. breaking dawn was the worst of them for sure. after reading the other three i wanted to know how it all ended, but it was work to get thru breaking dawn. hells bells this womans writing was at its worst in this book.

oh, and i wish she thanked the band muse more. weird.

How long did you have to read before you found the plot? I finished the series, and I’m still looking for it. If I’d known an entire series could be written to say “I love you” “No, I love YOU” and make as much money as this has, I’d have done it when I was 17.

I gave the whole series a pretty scathing review.
