I watched this live and it was without out a doubt the most amazing swimming event I’ve ever seen… possibly even greatest sports moment for me anyway. They wer all amazing and I can’t wait to see what else they can do.

Also, a small correction is that they won by .08 of a second. They beat the old world record (that they set the night before) with 3.99, with 5 teams in the final actually going below that time. It was amazing!

i saw this race and it was amazing!!! it makes me wish i kept up with swimming. but the us won by .08 seconds, they shattered the old wr by almost 4 sec. i think or something close to that. Anyways it was amazing after from what i hear the french were talkin mad smack about how they were going to crush the us. sorry bitches peace the spork out.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Lezak defied his humanity and swam like a god! I love when the whole world gets excited about swimming. It’s such an amazing sport that so few people are really into. I’ve watched the race over and over again, and I still can’t believe he caught that little frenchie! It made me so proud of the USA!!

I watched that live last night with my friends because I was having a bonfire. We were watching it through my windows outside and we were screaming at the top of our lungs. When Team USA won, and smashed the French, we were so excited that we danced and cheered for Team USA!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I wouldn’t watch much of the Olympics this summer with China being royally screwed up and all but Michael Phelps and co. beating the shit talking French just made it all good for me. USA!!

I swam in high school and the excitement in a relay freestyle is overwhelming. the instensity of this race was amazing and Jason Lezak was like a god on water. major props to him. THIS is what a team is all about!

I watched the race and had to scream into pillows so that I wouldn’t wake up my three year old! IT. WAS. PHENOMENAL!
Yeah, so Michael is my crush…and he’s legal now so it shouldn’t be a problem! ;)
