I would have to disagree. I think her look works for her. I dont think it was her pouty lips that made her fail in the pop music world( I shouldnt even say failed, cause she had a good run), I just believe country music is where she should have been all along. But it was her gay ass father who pushed and pushed cause he wanted to make her as big as britney spears. But lets face it, at her prime, britney was untouchable. She was doomed from the get go. But she is a very talented singer and she will do well, regardless of her pouty pictures.

You must have poor judgment if you think Chestica Simpson is a good singer. A good singer can sing in any genre — whether its pop, country, alternative, etc. The problem with Chestica is that she knows she’s neither a good singer nor a good actress and she will try anything to stay in the limelight.

She should never have said she would ‘never go pop again’ – it’s such a mistake as a performer to make public statements like that. She has the voice and the looks to be successful if she would just get in touch with her own talent and stop being guided in the wrong direction by other people. That has ruined her career. Even John Mayer said he was surprised at how deep she was and that she would write things like poems and lyrics in journals (yet we never see that side of her), I think because her Father only wants one image of her to be seen – as the cute /sexual / vapid all American girl. He has a lot to answer for regarding where her career has ended up.

I love the new pics. If this was Britney, Trent, you would be all over them and stating how beautiful they are. I personally like the pics where she pouts, I think the 2nd pic is HOT! Her smile lights up pics too, but she can’t smile all the time. Love her new song and am looking forward to the cd.

She’s gorgeous but the pics look like someone’s high school graduation pictures. The angles, the poses, the backgrounds. It needs to amped up on the sophistication level for a nationally released record.

I think the poses are too generic. Honestly, I’ve always thought of Jessica as a Texas girl, so the jump to country didn’t seem like too big of a deal to me. If she wants to sing in Nashville, then I say let her. She’s already surprised critics; maybe she’s sick of singing music she doesn’t believe in? Whatever the case, she’s a beautiful girl, and if her father let go of the reins for a few months, it would be interesting to see what she could do.

Jessica Simpson isn’t a bad singer, and is a pretty girl – but I have to agree with Trent on the trout pout – those two bottom pictures look MUCH better.
Well, good luck to her and this new album. The country music market isn’t much easier than pop/mainstream.

I am not a Jessica Simpson fan and I am a HUGE country music fan. I have listened to country music for 25 years and I have NEVER worn a flannel shirt, a big belt buckle or cowboy boots. She is trying too hard to be country when she doesn’t even know what country fans like and want. She is so desperate for fame and attention…it’s just sad. I hope country music fans stay true to their roots and don’t buy this CD. She is not welcome in country music.
