Jake Gyllenhaal Bulks Up For ‘Persia’
This week new photos of an overly beefed up Jake Gyllenhaal (on the set of his new movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which he is currently filming) popped up on various sites and the amazing site Pretty on the Outside took notice. Here is a cute caricature of Jakie poo in the guise of He-Man, the Most Powerful Man in the Universe:

He made his name starring in intelligent, quirky films such as Donnie Darko and Brokeback Mountain. But Jake Gyllenhaal is drastically broadening his horizons with his latest movie – as well as his chest. The actor stunned onlookers on the Moroccan set of the upcoming film Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time when he walked around bare-chested holding the hand of his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. The long-haired 27-year-old has clearly spent a lot of time in the gym in preparation for his role of Prince Dastan. The film is based on the popular computer game about a sixth century prince, played by Gyllenhaal, who is conned by an evil wizard into unleashing the evil sands of time. Oscar winner Ben Kingsley stars as the scheming wizard while the love interest is provided by new Bond girl Gemma Arterton. Mike Newell, best known for making Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, is directing the movie.
Um, yeah. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about all this bulk. This barrel-chested look actually looks fake to me … I mean, I know it’s not but doesn’t everything about his body look prosthetic? He’s massive … I dunno that I’m totally on board with the new look. After all, Prince Dastan isn’t really supposed to be this beefy a guy. That being said, I bet little Reese Witherspoon is having a grand ol’ time climbing all over Jake’s new massiveness … blah, I hate her ;)

I agree with you, it just doesn’t look right. I think it’s because of all the makeup making him appear dirty. The hair ain’t right either. Is that a sock in his pants? He needs to go running with Matthew or Lance again so we can see him without the costume. Oh, and Reese looks ridiculous in that picture. Maybe we need to crop her out and take another look.

Reese must be the tiniest girl in all the world! We all know Jake’s not the tallest guy around and he’s dwarfing her.
Doesn’t matter, though. He’s hot all the time.

My boyfriend is currently playing one of the Prince of Persia games for PS2 and he actually does look this beefy. I think the likeness is pretty good!

Reese Witherspoon isn’t getting any.
Reese is getting a lot of PR (Avon is happy), people aren’t talking how Ryan dumped her for younger woman, but she is still just a BEARD. Paparazzi in the middle of the desert is Reese’s way of promoting a “private fauxmance couple”. LOL
