Hangin’ With My Amigos
Yesterday, for the most part, was another quiet day. For my birthday Kirsten got me the first season of Battlestar Gallactica on DVD so that I can finally start watching one of her fave shows and I spent the early part of the day watching the pre-season miniseries and part of the first season … and OMG, I love it! The character development is superb and the update from the original 1970’s TV series is pretty brills. I’ve been hearing great things about the series for years now, I’m finally catching up.
Last night, tho, was a total blast as a few friends and I got together for dinner at Pink Taco at Century City. We ate and talked and ate and laughed and … well, ate. They had the Olympics on so we watched a bit of the gymnastics events (paying particular attention to the little girls who kept falling off the equipment or had sloppy dismounts). It was pretty fun … as usual, we took a few fun pics:
For some strange reason, we were compelled to pose with all the posters that were hanging up all over the place (esp. the 90210 posters, obvs). Another fun fact, we saw Megan Fox and Brian Austen Green walking arm in arm into Rock Sugar where they presumably dined. It was a fun little celeb sighting. But yeah, the night was fun … Darion brought along a new friend named Loy to hang out with us … he was a fun addition to the group :)

the best part about BSG (and there are a lot of best parts, oy) is jamie bamber, ie apollo. the show is GREAT and, oddly enough, has a pretty big queer following. my partner and i went to see “razor” (an inter-season movie) in the theatres and it was filled with bears and silicon valley gay geeks and such– a great time! you’re gonna love it :)

Mississippy Sissy by Kevin Sessums. If you haven’t read it, you should. You’d probably like it. I know I was extremely touched by it.

Looks like a good time. I am sorry but I hate the pick taco. Fun place to have a few cocktails but the food is just nasty!! I hate it. Keep up the fun times. The 90210 pictures are hilarious!!!

OMG!!! I’m sooo happy you are going to watch BSG! Its seriously one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. A part of me is really sad that the last season is coming up.
Just you watch, you are going to be saying FRAK after finishing season 1. It happens to the best of us.

Battlestar is one of the best shows on Tv. I never considered myself a SciFi geek but it is sooo much more. Plus there are many hot guys. including Uncle Jamie from One Tree Hill
