It doesn’t matter who McCain would have picked, this conversation would be exactly the same, but with different points of contention. Duh. I am so bothered that so many people only take the time to attack what they don’t like as opposed to pointing out what makes their choice so exceptional. And that goes both ways. I have no idea who I will vote for, but I can say that all this negativity wears me the eff out. Isn’t Nader running again? ha.

She is running the state with the population of Austin, Texas. Woohoo. Thats experience we can trust. NOT. Choosing her as a running mate is irresponsible, considering his age. Would you trust someone with your family, your children with someone you met ONCE? He has entrusted her with 300 million american lives if he doesn’t make his term (quite possible at his age). Irresponsible and stupid. Clearly desperation for votes.

Apparently someone from Fox News responded to Palin’s lack of foreign experience by saying that being leader of Alaska, which is near Russia,. is close to having foreign experience.

Ok… I have to comment on the no experience comment. She may have only been Gov for less than 2 years, but she is running and ENTIRE STATE people! I love how everyone looks over the fact that Obama has only been a 2 term Senator. HE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE and he does not explain anything that he plans on doing. “I’m going to spend 150 billion on ensuring we end our dependency on oil” Exactly what are you going to do? He is all show and no substance, but that just goes to show you how niave people are.

Sorry Jonesy but 72 is old. If not, then what do you define as old? The average life expectancy in the United States is 77.5-80 years old. Considering McCain’s poor health, it’s not a stretch to assume he may not make it to that age.

A 72 year old may have *cough* “wisdom”, but they also tend to be out of touch with what we need NOW. They’re from a different age. I, personally, believe that leader of the country should be someone from the age they’re hoping to lead in.

I think it is an interesting pick. It is odd…especially since the McCain camp has been saying Obama isn’t not experienced enough…yet Palin has only been governor for 2 years. So, I’m not sure. Many seem to think this is McCain’s way of grabbing former Hillary supporters. Some think this is a brilliant choice. Many think it is a gamble and aren’t sure how it’s gonna turn out. I for one am not sure if this was a good pick for McCain…but I don’t know much about her yet. So I need to do some research and I want to hear her speak more before I form an opinion. Although, I already have my mind made up on who I am voting for, and that is Barack Obama. I don’t get why people make such a big deal over race and gender in this election…but apparently it seems like it is playing a big role. I don’t care who you support, I just think you should do some research before you make a decision and get out there and VOTE!!

I always wonder why people are so concerned about black, white, brown, yellow, male, or female. Seriously, why does that matter at all? I look at their views, the substance of the person, not their hair color, or their skin color, and certainly not what hangs out between their legs. Abandoning a 5 month old with Down’s syndrome to run for VP? Reminds me of Edwards with his dying wife, but at least she was complicit. DOESN”T YOUR FAMILY NEED YOU RIGHT NOW? This degree of selfishness is extremely repulsive to me, and I’m the kind of “soccer mom” McCain is trying to attract. I think she was a horrible pick, and can’t be a decent human being based on her “parenting”.
