First Listen: Jessica Simpson’s ‘Do You Know’

It looks like Jessica Simpson‘s transition from Pop star to Country star is nearly complete. In the past few weeks, Jess has been on the road playing to new fans at various country and state fairs and, for some reason, casinos as well. Here are a few pics of Jessica‘s performance at Niagara Falls Fallsview Casino last night:


If you are lucky enough to live in the greater Niagra Falls area, you can catch Jessica‘s second show at Fallsview Casino tonight. It was very nice of Jessica‘s aunt Myrtle to lend her this lovely dress for her casino performance. Incidentally, Jessica will be gracing the Detroit area next month by performing a show at Caesar’s Palace Casino in Windsor, Canada … get your tix while you can! Jessica Simpson‘s new Country album Do You Know is finally available for preview ahead of its release on September 9th. WQIK in Jacksonville, FL is offering fans (and the curious) our first listen to her Country Music debut album:


I’ve listened to a few of the songs … I will say her voice is well-suited to Country music … I like the title song with Dolly Parton, Do You Know. What do y’all think?

    I think it sounds really nice. I love Dolly Parton she is definitely respected in the Country business. What a great play on a collaboration for the two of them.

    That dress is 2 sizes too small, and she is physically incapable of NOT making stupid faces. But at least she washes her hair, unlike Britney.

    Okay…a couple times I heard Debbie Gibson in her voice. She doesn’t sound any different. Just more twangy…

    I was curious about that Sunday, and it was EXACTLY the cheesy lyrics I thought it’d be.

    I give this girl major credit! She has dealt with some major crap slung at her and still she has not gone loopy, popped out a bunch of babies (like some kind of clown car), shaved her head late at night or locked herself in a bathroom somewhere only to be cart off in an ambulance. She is trying to re-invent herself and move on. I support her for that. YEAH!

    I love the songs on this cd. I can’t wait to pick up a copy. She really lets her voice do the songs justice and puts forth a great deal of emotion while singing. Willy and Dolly are behind her and so am I.
