Brad, Maddox, Pax Jolie-Pitt Do Venice, Italy

Why so blue, Maddox?
August 26th, 2008

Brad Pitt and his eldest sons, Maddox and Pax, have made their way to Venice, Italy for the Venice Film Festival where Brad will be on hand to help promote his new movie Burn After Reading (which also stars Brad’s BFF George Clooney). Here are pics of thePitt boys making their way thru the streets/canals of Venice earlier today:

Maddox was proudly showing off his new blue ‘do. That mohawk is his staple, he looks intent on rockin’ it hardcore. There’s no word yet if Angelina Jolie, the girls (Zahara and Shiloh) or the twins (Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon) have also made their way to Venice but if so, I’m sure they’ll show up sooner or later. I’m not sure how I feel about the blue hair, to be honest. Should kids that young be dying their hair already? Does it matter?

No, he shouldn’t be having his hair dyed this young. It’s not good for it. Also makes him look a little too tough…he’s not the best looking kid in the first place, without making him look even more funny.

  2. lindyloo Says:

brangelina are the most overrated family in hollywood, can’t stand these people.
plus angie showed her true republican colours by refusing to endorse obama, i guess she doesn’t really care about america because she doesn’t really livev there.
    stupid bitch!
    she makes me wanna barf.

  3. Mandi Says:

Wow, such hatret for people you’ve never met! Keep on like that, it brings all the good karma your way,

Anyway, doesn’t Pax also look like he has highlights in the front? I don’t see anything wrong with it. Maybe it was a reward for him. Maybe he got all A’s in his summer classes and the only thing he wanted was a blue mohawk. And he totally looks tough. Badass and tough. Go Maddox!

  4. Mandi Says:

*Edit* I meant “hatred”. Not “hatret”. I’m dumb.

  5. CG Says:

Oh give them a break!!! Honestly I dont see a thing wrong with it. There are a hell of a lot more horrible things than dying some hair. Hair can be cut off and regrown.

Lindyloo I think you’re jealous! It doesnt matter what couple you always seem to have something negative to say. It must suck carrying around such a bull shit attitude all the time.

She’s entitle to her opinion on who should be President, just like you are, get over it. Not EVERYONE wants Obama as our president, that includes other democrats.

I think both boys are very cute and that Brad and Angelina are wonderfully loving parents.

  6. Mr. Gyllenhaal Says:

    Who cares…it’s not hurting anyone.

  7. steff Says:

yeah, Pax has his hair dyed in front too.
im pretty sure its either blue or green…

and maddox has been getting his hair dyed for a couple years now. i dont see why everyones making a fuss of it now :|
why not like 2 years ago?

  8. lindyloo Says:

    Because angie’s karma is intact.
give me a fucking break, she’s a fake and she’ll be found out pretty soon.
people can carry on worshipping this woman but i can see through her.

  9. Kristin Says:

For all we know it’s the spray in color that washes out that night, who really cares? I think it’s cute

  10. AngieSays Says:

Honestly I love Brad and Angie and everything that they do with their kids. They’re so down to earth and seem so fun!!! I dont like the hair on Maddox too much, only because I think that shade of blue is wrong for him! A darker blue would’ve worked out better.

  11. GossipGirlFan Says:

He had the blue hair in the People magazine Baby Pictures. I think Brangelina really encourage free expression with their young’nz. Why not? I think he gets to have it that way during the summer when he is not in school. I love Brangelina,

  12. OllyDolly Says:

Lots of kids in my area dye their hair with safe products. On Wear Pink to Stand Up to Bullies day all the kids had PINK hair…thought you’d like that tidbit.

  13. AmyM Says:

    he’s a cutie!

  14. Your mom Says:

who the hell cares if he’s young! omg. I think it’s awesome!

  15. marsi Says:

As a hairstylist, I must say their hair is RAD :) I’d totally let my kids rock that kind of hair-

  16. Lisa Says:

Personally, I wouldn’t dye my son’s hair. But those kids aren’t mine so who cares what their parents do or let the kids do.

  17. terrie Says:

There’s a lot of things happening in this world that are not okay and should not be happening. Yet, we either turn a blind eye to it or our government fails us by declaring certain things “okay.” People tend to want to accept any and everything forgetting that what’s “in” right now doesn’t mean it’s morally or ethically okay. A small minority will push for something wrong until our defenses are weakened and we approve whatever the action is.
There’s so much crap happening right now, that dying your kid’s hair blue is just the tip of the iceberg. One day it will probably be okay for 15 year old to drink cocktails for lunch in the cafeteria. Things are okay now that weren’t anywhere near okay 10-15+ years ago. People are just like “it’s okay,” “it doesn’t matter,” “who cares,” etc. Morally and ethically our society is going down hill…quickly. We keep forgetting or downplaying our values and what we know to be truth. Too many people are living for today without considering tomorrow.

  18. diana Says:

Oh Trent…my son is 5 and proudly dyes his hair red, orange, blue or green. My daughter is 11 and has purple streaks right now. It’s SO not an issue…and folks who are up in arms about it need to chill. As a parent, there is a huge difference between dying your hair and drinking cocktails for lunch.

Hair grows out. It’s one of those things I decided a long time ago NOT to worry about.

My kids are polite, responsible, respectful and do very well in school. They are nice to animals. They are empathetic and loving. Does it matter what color their hair is?

    Peace out!

i CANNOT believe that person said maddox wasnt good looking!! he’s a kid first off and i think he’s realy cute! i LOVE his hair!!! and i dont think there’s anything wrong with it. like someone said, it can always get cut off. its not a life changing decision that shouldnt be made at a young age like a tattoo or anything..

also i love brad and angelina!!

  23. Joanne Says:

Forget the hair! People should be more concerned about the extremely weird existence these kids are being subjected to.

  24. Shosh Says:

The hair is fine, If it was dyed how it is seen in that picture then it’s not touching his scalp, it’s ok to have a few streaks or patches, I wouldn’t recommend the whole head though!

I am curious to see how their ever-growing family turns out in 20 years time… Maybe they’ll still be adopting?

  25. Gabriela Says:

Terri, I agree. Just because a child wants something, should they be allowed to have it? By allowing children to do what they want, when they want leads to the type of children we see in today’s society. Mini adults who behave how they want without consequences. It’s a type of freedom that mentally they aren’t prepared for. Laissez-faire parents.

  26. julie Says:

Agreed, Joanne/Terri/Gabriella. As for Angie refusing to endorse Obama, that’s about the only thing she’s ever done that didn’t make me want to barf. I admire that a celebrity wouldn’t let uber-liberal Hollywood tell her how to think, even if she is an otherwise kind of crappy person. Team Angelina for the first and probably only time ever!!!

  27. lEENA Says:

Should Maddox be in school? Or is he being homeschooled?

What lucky kids to be able to travel the world. Brad looks like he has aged ten years since hooking up with Angelina. She is sucking the life out of him.

  28. Largirl Says:

Seriously…dying their hair means that they are lax parents or that the kids will be drinking cocktails in a few years? Hardly!! This kind of self-expression is absolutely fine. It’s not harmful to the kids (a – it’s not touching the scalp and b – who knows if it’s permanent) and certainly doesn’t harm anyone else. It’d be like letting your kid put on a temporary tattoo or wear a t-shirt that they picked out.

Gabriela and Terri, it sounds like you’re saying that just because a child wants something they automatically SHOULDN’T get it. We should never let kids do what they want? This is something that doesn’t hurt them or anyone else – why would you say no?? It’s not like they’re letting them play with guns or knives or run around unsupervised. It’s laughable that letting your kid dye their hair is “bad parenting” or equal to being laissez-faire. I think the LAST thing that Brad and Angie could be called are “hands-off” parents, considering nearly every picture we see them in they are doing something with the kids. You have no idea how they do or don’t discipline their kids behind closed doors, and to assume that because they let their child do this they are lax parents is ridiculous.

I would hate to be a child of yours…no fun.

  29. Gabriela Says:

Largirl, that’s not what I said. I think that there’s a time and place for children having fun (another thing I take issue with, that everything these days must be “fun” or else it’s not worth the bother) but do I think that children should decide when and where? No, definately not. No, I don’t know how they discipline their children and don’t really care. Do you?

I was commenting more on the fact that this style of parenting (letting young children dye their hair, wear high heels, revealing clothing) has led to a generation that believes they deserve whatever they want, whenever they want without regard for the consequence and get rather difficult when they don’t receive it. By the way, I would think they would have to get rid of it before school starts as I doubt a french school or Lycee Francais would allow it, the french school system isn’t built for “fun”.

Luckily I’ve decided not to have children. There’s enough people on this earth without populating it with more, increasingly rude, environmentally damaging people.

its SUMMER, he’s not meant to be in school at the moment anyway!
i think maddox is absolutely adorable! why is everyone making such a fuss over a little bit of colour? its not like his whole entire head of hair is blue, its a couple of streaks! its just like letting little girls play dress and trying their mother’s/older sister’s makeup on.

everyone needs to chill. kids is these are so molly-coddled and overprotected. and to the above poster, it is not HAIR DYE or HIGH HEELS that lead to childrens’ over-inflated sense of entitlement. its behaviour they mimick and have hammered into them from their parents, not letting them wear makeup or colouring their hair.
