Amy Winehouse was one of the performers at the V Festival at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex (in the UK) yesterday and was scheduled to give a “live” performance but by the looks of her on stage, I think she was anything but “live” during her performance:
Just days ago things appeared to be looking up for Amy Winehouse, as the singer was snapped looking unusually groomed and glam. But the fresh start didn’t last long, and the troubled star gave another ropey performance at the Staffordshire leg of the V Festival yesterday, after missing last year’s event because of ill health. Clad in rolled-up jeans, a skimpy vest and headscarf, the dishevelled 24-year-old took to the stage to boos from the audience after keeping the crowd and her band waiting. Looking sallow-faced and grubby with dark smears of make-up around her eyes, she coughed and spluttered her way through the set, forgetting the words to Back to Black and mumbling to herself between songs. Amy dedicated Wake Up Alone to husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is serving a 27-month prison sentence, which prompted a smattering of boos from the crowd.
Can someone explain to me how this woman is still living? Is she injecting formaldehyde into her veins? She is such a mess … can no one help this poor creature?

This may be an example of sensationalist journalism. Since moving to the UK I have been amused at how the press here like to print the most unflattering pictures of celebs that they can find! I just finished watching her performance on V today and while it wasn’t amazing, she was fine.

I’m with J on this one. Bloggers, tabloids, etc. find the worst photo of Amy to show her downward spiral. I think it’s a shame, cuz it makes us think there’s no hope. Britney was like this a year ago and look how the tide turned. I still have hope, so I say let’s just keep watching to see what happens. Show ‘em all Amy!!
I’m surprised she was even asked to do V Festival. Her reputation for giving good performances is getting thinner and thinner by the day.

Some paparazzi or pest are paid to take the worst photos that any celeb can be… I’m not surprise that they would published such pictures… anyone can look such a mess and the cameras keep flashing all the time… she’s undeniably a train wreck but is there anyone… ANYONE wants to help her to recover???
I flicked over to the V festival footage on TV yesterday and thought it was someone doing a mediocre parody of Amy Winehouse till I realised it was actually her..
Shame on the promoters who keep hiring her for their shows!!! Hello??? She needs to be blacklisted from entertaining. Cut off her $$$ source and maybe then she’ll be forced to get help.
