So … the premiere of season 4 of The Hills aired on MTV last night and got things started off with an attempted bang. It’s always tricky when you begin a new season because, depending on how much you rely on previous seasons, there is a lot of groundwork that needs to take place before the action can really get going … and there was a bit of groundwork laid last night:

We got to see some new faces, we got to see some old faces and we got to see Whitney’s many faces … all in all, it was a pretty nice start to, what will hopefully be, a really drama-filled season. After the jump, find out want went down on the ep entitled We’ll Never Be Friends …

Here are a few pics of the very newly wedded Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi enjoying their “honeymoon” together just a few days after they said “I Do” to one another at their Beverly Hills, CA home this weekend. The couple showed off their new wedding rings, it looks like Ellen wears a simple band and Portia is rockin’ the rock:

Because Ellen has to begin work on the new season of her daytime talk show, the couple couldn’t jet off and enjoy a “traditional” honeymoon right after their wedding … but you may recall that the couple did enjoy a pretty extensive pre-wedding honeymoon-type vacay in Italy earlier this summer. Instead, the couple just stepped out together as wife and wife for lunch at Real Food Daily, which is a restaurant very near their home. I love it … they’re like an old married couple already ;)

Anna Faris was joined by her co-stars Emma Stone, Katharine McPhee and Rumer Willis at a NYC screening of their new movie The House Bunny (which was sponsored by CosmoGIRL! magazine) at the Hearst Tower last night … here are a few pics from the premiere screening’s red carpet:

I’ve already mentioned profusely how excited I am for this movie to come out … I’m deffo planning on getting my butt to the theater this Friday for opening night. I am encouraged that it stars Anna Faris (because she is insanely funny) and that the movie was written by the same person who wrote the screenplay for Legally Blonde (and we all know how that turned out). Emma Stone is another actress that doesn’t get enough love, I think. She’s also very funny and she has always reminded me of a mix between Anna Faris (in funniness) and Melissa Joan Hart (in looks). Having her in the movie only makes it more appealing. I dunno what to think about having an American Idol runner-up (McPhee) and Rumer Willis (no comment) in the flick but … still, it looks really funny. Oh and BTW, when did Anna Faris get so hot? She looks amazing.

It looks like the party is over for Sienna Miller and Balthazar Getty … well, at least for now. As you may recall, Sienna and Balthazar made waves (and caused embarrassment for Getty’s wife Rosetta) after they were photographed making out with one another (while Sienna was topless, I might add) while the pair were vacationing in Italy. Since those photos came out, Balthazar caught hell from his wife and Sienna tried to keep her distance … but not for long. She made her way here to SoCal to be with her lover and the two have been popping up around town for the past couple of weeks … but now, the time for them to part ways has finally come. Here are a few pics of Sienazar sharing a very sweet goodbye together right before Sienna had to make her way to the airport to leave Balthazar here in SoCal:

Sienna Miller looks like she can’t be bear to be parted from her married lover Balthazar Getty as she gives him a passionate kiss goodbye before heading to the airport. The controversial couple have spent two weeks together in Los Angeles after Sienna fled her native Britain following weeks of negative tabloid reports surrounding their relationship. But as the 26-year-old actress prepares to face the music back home in Britain, she gives her beau a lingering kiss to give him something to remember her by. The couple embraced each other on the driveway of the actor’s Los Angeles home, before Sienna got into a car bound for the city’s LAX airport. Dressed down for the flight in a baggy sweatshirt and tracksuit bottoms, Sienna appeared comfortable and relaxed in the 33-year-old’s presence. After saying farewell to Balthazar, a sad Sienna looked lonely as she arrived at the airport to board to a flight back to London.

All controversy aside, you gotta admit that these pics look really sweet … for better or worse, it appears that Sienna really cares for and will genuinely miss being with Balthazar. Whatever the circumstances of their relationship, the pair do seem well-suited for one another. The pics are cute, right? But do they undo all the shadiness that surrounds these two?

Earlier this month, Hollywood was rocked by the news that Christina Applegate (Married … With Children, Samantha Who?) was diagnosed with breast cancer at the terribly young age of 36. But, happily, I can now report that Christina is now 100% cancer free after she made the difficult decision to undergo a double mastectomy. Christina sat down with Good Morning America to tell the story of how early detection helped her catch the disease in time to ensure that it could be totally removed from her body:

A month after being diagnosed with breast cancer, actress Christina Applegate, 36, is “100 percent” cancer-free, she told “Good Morning America’s” Robin Roberts in an exclusive interview. “I’m clear. Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean,” the star of ABC TV’s “Samantha Who?” said. “It did not spread — they got everything out, so I’m definitely not going to die from breast cancer.” But the price she paid for that peace of mind was high. To be sure the cancer would be completely excised, and that there would be a reduced chance of it returning despite Applegate testing positive for the BRCA1 breast cancer gene, the actress opted to have both her breasts removed in an operation known as a prophylactic double mastectomy, even though cancerous lumps were only found in one breast. “My decision, after looking at all the treatment plans that were possibilities for me, the only one that seemed the most logical and the one that was going to work for me was to have a bilateral mastectomy,” Applegate said. Three weeks ago, she had the dramatic operation rather than undergoing other longer-term treatments like radiation or chemotherapy. “I didn’t want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. I just wanted to kind of get rid of this whole thing for me. This was the choice that I made and it was a tough one.” Though she will be undergoing breast reconstruction surgery over the next eight months, Applegate said the emotional toll has been heavy. “Sometimes, you know, I cry. And sometimes I scream. And I get really angry. And I get really upset, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes. And I think that it’s all part of the healing,” she said. But Applegate is healthy and calm now, due to both her unflappible sense of humor — “I’m going to have the best boobs in the nursing home” — and the powerful inspiration she gained from her mother, Nancy Priddy, a repeat breast cancer survivor. “She’s been sort of this quiet warrior in the back and has been a great support, and just telling me that I was going to be OK. And I knew I was going to be OK. I’ve watched her have a mastectomy, and then I’ve watched her go through two years of chemotherapy and eight surgeries and a hysterectomy. I’ve watched this woman survive both those things. So, for me, there was always that sense that I was going to be OK, no matter what.” Applegate is also going to be OK due to her own vigilance. She started getting mammograms six years ago, after she turned 30, and said the cancer was found through the second of two MRI tests as a follow-up from a biopsy she had last year. “If this had been caught a year from now, or when I was 40, I probably wouldn’t be able to live through this,” Applegate said. The MRI Applegate underwent, she said, is capable of seeing cells, meaning it can detect cancerous cells even before a tumor forms.

This is such amazing news, even tho Christina had to make the difficult choice to undergo a double mastectomy. The lesson here is that early detection can save lives … but the article did go on to say that the MRI that Christina used to catch the cancer cells early on is very expensive and is not covered by a lot of health insurance policies. That being said, I hope Christiana’s story will inspire other young women to begin checking themselves for possible lumps by giving themselves self-exams or by starting a routine of mammograms as early as they can (I think age 30 is the new standard?). I am so happy for Christina and I hope her story will help other folks save their lives.

As y’all should know by now, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were wed this past Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a festive celebration of their nuptials at their Beverly Hills, CA home … this week, People magazine will be publishing the brides’ wedding album:

It was an evening of love, laughter, and a few tears for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who exchanged personal wedding vows in front of their closest family and friends on Saturday at their home in L.A. In an exclusive interview and photos, DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, share the most romantic moments of the night with PEOPLE. “What can I say? I’m the luckiest girl in the world,” says DeGeneres. “She’s officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she’ll cook and clean for me.” Amid candles and flowers by Mark’s Garden, both brides, wearing designs by Zac Posen, sat on floor pillows along with author Wayne Dyer, who officiated the ceremony. After exchanging Neil Lane rings, the couple and their guests sat down for an all-vegan menu prepared by their personal chef David Silberkleit while Sweet Lady Jane created a vegan red velvet cake for the celebration. “The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day,” says de Rossi. “And one that we’ll never forget.”

Aww, it sounds like it was a beautiful ceremony, I can’t wait to see the pix in full. I just love Ellen and Portia together … they appear so right for one another. They both seem like such genuinely sweet people and I am thrilled that they can now be an officially, legal married couple. Much, much congrats and love goes out again to the happily wedded couple.
