Woot! At long last Lindsay Lohan has finally gotten on board the blogging bandwagon. It appears that L. Lo was either not privy to or had no idea what her official My Space login credentials were which therefore hindered her ability to blog for the masses. Someone clued her in and she has, once again, started composing her own blog posts — which is very good news, I think. In her latest post, Lindsay vehemently denies the reports that her 14 year old sister Ali got breast implants and colorfully explains how that could never be so. Linds also gives a little shout-out to her BFF Samantha Ronson which provides a precious AWWWWW moment at the end of the post. hey everyone..
i just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach.
so, here’s the visual…
me and my friend Patrick walking into a store, and two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me…
one of them being, “Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?”
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my response simply was, “Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!”
i was caught out of nowhere so i didn’t really come up with the proper response at the time.. there’s many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money!
All i am trying to say is, is that, i was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body.
i am not judging people that do, but i am just saying that its not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you’re not even fully developed yet!
It is hard enough being 14 years old and you have enough insecurities to begin with, then add being in the public eye…
i just find it really disconcerting that people have to focus on the negative and that some people are sooooo bored with their own lives that they need to manifest lies to hurt another person.
in a more positive light…
i got some great clothes from alexander wang and i miss samantha cuz she’s out of town :(

You go, girl! I am so happy that Lindsay is blogging again … now we can hear the info straight from the source rather than thru the untrustworthy grapevine. While blogposts by someone like Courtney Love are fun to read because of their incoherent insanity, I am very interested in reading blogposts directly from Lindsay because she offers a perspective and insight into her life that cannot be replicated by anyone else. Blog on, Lindsay! I know I’ll be reading!

Apparently the new baby sheen of the Brangelina twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon has worn off for big daddy Brad Pitt because he decided to spend some one-on-one alone time with his eldest daughter Zahara Marley in the South of France yesterday afternoon. Here are pics of Dad Pitt and the Queen Z making their way to the Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul, France for a little art appreciation together:

They make an adorable pair … I love these pics. The Queen Z looks like she’s a handful … I know I wouldn’t wanna be messin’ with her … I know how to recognize. Kudos to Brad for taking the time to shower all of his kids with affection, not just the newest ones ;) Earlier this month we saw pics of Brad and Maddox Chivan out for a day at the go-kart track in celebration of his birthday as well. It must be tough to spend time with all 6 of your kids when you’re a megaceleb (and the scraggly beard on Pitt shows it) but it looks like Brad has got it all under control … well, I think Zahara is the one who is actually in control but you get what I’m saying ;)

Yodeler supreme Jewel Kilcher finally said I Do to her longtime cowboy boyfriend/fiancée Ty Murray in a super secret, hush-hush beach wedding in the Bahamas last week in an effort to evade public scrutiny by the media … and then immediately issued a press statement to People magazine the following day to tell the tale. HMMM. What I think is a bit hilarious is that Jewel thought there might be a crush of paps hunting her down to photograph her wedding … I mean, I don’t really see that happening but … whatevs. In any event, here is the first wedding photo of Jewel and Ty which the couple have released themselves, once again, to People magazine which you can see HERE:

Without family, friends (or paparazzi!) knowing, the singer and rodeo star Ty Murray eloped to the Bahamas on Aug. 7. “To pull off the wedding quietly made it magical,” Jewel told PEOPLE the following day. Held at The Cove Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, the very private affair included just two guests: Jewel’s former keyboard player Jason Freese, who officiated (the couple found out he had been ordained online) and his wife Amy. At sunset, as Otis Redding’s “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” played from their private cabana, Jewel, 34, (in Monique Lhuillier) met her groom (in jeans and cowboy boots) in the sand to recite their handwritten vows. “I said that I’ll try to make our lives the best piece of art I’ve ever done,” she said. Murray, 38, secretly proposed to the singer on her birthday, May 23, and the couple decided to elope since “we feel that’s what marriage is – just me and her,” he said. After their “I dos” the newlyweds called their families to break their happy news and enjoyed a surprise fireworks display from the resort. “It felt,” said the groom, “like we were the only ones in the world.” Perhaps not for long: Jewel told PEOPLE that she and Murray are “ready to start a family.” In fact, her new husband added, “We’re going to start working on that tonight!”

I suppose congrats are in order for the happy newlyweds. They did it! They pulled off the quiet wedding of their dreams. How Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon of them. They’re a wily couple, aren’t they? Again, much congrats :)

Is Christian about to be Baled out of trubs over the recent allegations of assault brought against him by his estranged mother and sister? As you may recall, Christian Bale was arrested late last month after an incident with his family members alleged that he assaulted them in a London hotel (on the eve of the London premiere of The Dark Knight), Bale immediately denied the allegations. Today comes word that the British Crown Prosecution Service lawyers are recommending that Bale evade prosecution for these charges and merely be “cautioned” … the only problem is that Bale will have to admit his guilt to the incident in open court next month:

Christian Bale won’t face charges over claims he assaulted his mother and sister, according to reports. The 34-year-old actor was arrested in London last month over accusations he attacked his mother Jenny, 61, and sister Sharon, 40, at the city’s Dorchester Hotel before the premiere of The Dark Knight. Bale was questioned by UK police over the incident and was subsequently released on bail. But British Crown Prosecution Service lawyers have advised police to caution the actor – meaning he will not face charges, according to The Sun newspaper. Bale will have to admit guilt to get a caution when he answers bail next month (Sep08). He currently denies the allegations.

Yeah, I guess this is good news and bad news for Christian. Good news that nothing of substance has to come from this nasty incident with his family, bad news that he has to admit guilt in order to make the matter go away with just a caution. It’s a tough call … does he take the easy way out and admit guilt for something he contends never happened or does he continue to deny the allegations and go to trial? I’m not sure what I’d do in the same sitch, but I’m sure he’ll do what’s best for him. What would you do if faced with the same dilemma?

We wake up today to the news that Michael Phelps did not win another Gold Medal today but fret not my peoples … there wasn’t a Gold Medal to be won last night (today in China). Phelpsie did compete last night in the Men’s 200-meter Individual Medley semifinals and he did qualify for the Gold Medal finals which will take place tonight (tomorrow in China). I was getting so used to waking up and blogging about Phelpsie‘s Gold Medal achievements that I felt it proper to post something about the lad … so here is an adorable picture of Michael Phelps at 8 years old getting his feet wet (as it were) at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club in 1993:

Michael Phelps has advanced to the 200-meter individual medley final at the Beijing Olympics, setting himself up to win his sixth gold medal. The American won his semifinal heat Thursday morning in 1 minute, 57.70 seconds. Phelps’ teammate and main rival, Ryan Lochte, won his heat in 1:57.69, making him the top qualifier, with Phelps second overall. They will swim the final Friday morning. Phelps is 5-for-5 in his events so far, setting world records each time.

So tonight (tomorrow in China) will be Michael Phelps‘s next opportunity to win a Gold Medal with his next chances to follow Friday and Saturday nights (Saturday and Sunday morning respectively in China). We will know by Saturday night if our dear Phelpsie will walk away from these 2008 Summer Olympics with the 8 Gold Medals he’s vying for :)
