The season 2 premiere of Gossip Girl is mere weeks away but already there are promo pics from the season premiere episode, entitled Summer, Kind of Wonderful, to have and to behold:

Here are a few pics of Hugh Jackman on the set of the Baz Luhrmann epic movie Australia in order to re-shoot some scenes for the film which is due for release this November. Normally, re-shoots this late in the game might hint at trouble for the film but my guess is that Hugh just likes dressing up and playing cowboy:

RIDING high at Fox Studios, Hugh Jackman was back in the saddle yesterday – trimmed of his Wolverine beard and swapping hats to play his part in the upcoming Australia blockbuster. With co-star Nicole Kidman making a low-key return to the set as a working mum for the first time, with baby Sunday Rose and a nanny in tow, Jackman took centre stage filming “pick-up” clips for the movie’s final edit. Having just holidayed on the Italian Riviera, not to mention getting his X-Men flick in the can, Jackman has been a busy leading man since he last donned the Akubra. But grabbing the reins again, with the help of a few pointers from the film’s handlers, Jackman impressed onlookers with his easy-riding style.

Oh yeah, he deffo likes playing cowboy. While I prefer my Hugh Jackman with a lot less clothing, I think he makes a pretty hawt cowpoke. Am I wrong?

Now, when it comes to Paris Hilton it’s usually not that hard to believe that she is dating one person today and someone else the next but new reports that she is now romantically involved with My Space CEO Chris DeWolfe after it was believed that she was happily dating Benji Madden of Good Charlotte are a bit hard to believe. I mean, it’s totally possible but … mebbe I don’t want to believe that she would do Benji wrong like this?

Facebook may be the king of the Silicon Valley crowd, but Paris Hilton apparently prefers MySpace. 42 year old MySpace cofounder and CEO Chris DeWolfe has been dating 27 year old Paris Hilton for at least a few weeks, sources close to the company confirm. We first got wind of this when we saw DeWolfe in a random video clip with Hilton from last month. He’s also been throwing parties in the Hamptons, and Hilton has been at all of them. Now we’ve got a source in New York that’s confirming the two are dating. DeWolfe is hosting yet another party tonight in the Hamptons, and Hilton will reportedly be there as his date. This is a brilliant marketing move for MySpace (or for Hilton?). Or maybe they actually like each other. All we’ve confirmed is that they are definitely dating. As far as we can tell DeWolfe still has a wife (but is reportedly separated) and Hilton still has an official boyfriend, but whatever, this is Hollywood. Best of luck to both of them.

Now, just because Hilton and Wolfe were seen together doesn’t mean that they’re actually dating … and I can’t even believe I’m saying this myself but I’m having a hard time believing this report is actually true. Trust me, I’m not the biggest Paris Hilton fan on Earth but I can’t believe she could be so happy with Benji Madden and then immediately start dating someone else. Have I totally lost my mind? I barely batted an eyelash when this has happened before (all those numerous times) but this time … I dunno, is it wrong to put this much faith in Paris Hilton?

After Deadline Hollywood posted a story online alleging that Tori Spelling is feeling unloved by the folks producing the Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off (who are reportedly paying both Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth more money to appear on the show then they offered Tori), US Weekly is reporting that Tori Spelling has pulled out of appearing on 90210 altogether. HMMM … could someone be playing hardball in the hopes of securing more moolah?

Tori Spelling has changed her mind about returning to Beverly Hills, 90210 as Donna Martin. “At this time, there are no plans for Tori to appear in the 90210 spinoff,” her rep tells Usmagazine.com. (A rep for The CW told concurred: “The CW has no deal with Tori Spelling to appear on 90210 at this time.”) The confirmation comes after DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com reported Monday that Spelling, 35, pulled out after learning that co-stars Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty were earning $35,000-$50,000 per episode compared to Spelling’s $10,000-$20,000 per episode salary. “She thought she deserved parity, and she’s got a point,” an insider told DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com

Now this is a risky move on Tori‘s part. On the one hand, I can understand why she wouldn’t want to work for less money than her roughly equal co-stars are getting but if she pushes too far then she won’t get anything. I’m very surprised that the producers of the show are so willing to discount Tori Spelling … of the ladies, she is the one main character of the show that stayed with BH, 90210 til the very end. It seems really shitty that they would treat her like this, especially when she was so loyal to the original show (both Shannen and Jennie left the show years before the series ended I stand corrected, apparently Jennie stayed on ’til the end as well … but it doesn’t change my point). It just doesn’t make sense to me … why would the show want to shoot itself in the foot before it even gets off the ground?

Yesterday, for the most part, was another quiet day. For my birthday Kirsten got me the first season of Battlestar Gallactica on DVD so that I can finally start watching one of her fave shows and I spent the early part of the day watching the pre-season miniseries and part of the first season … and OMG, I love it! The character development is superb and the update from the original 1970′s TV series is pretty brills. I’ve been hearing great things about the series for years now, I’m finally catching up.

Last night, tho, was a total blast as a few friends and I got together for dinner at Pink Taco at Century City. We ate and talked and ate and laughed and … well, ate. They had the Olympics on so we watched a bit of the gymnastics events (paying particular attention to the little girls who kept falling off the equipment or had sloppy dismounts). It was pretty fun … as usual, we took a few fun pics:

For some strange reason, we were compelled to pose with all the posters that were hanging up all over the place (esp. the 90210 posters, obvs). Another fun fact, we saw Megan Fox and Brian Austen Green walking arm in arm into Rock Sugar where they presumably dined. It was a fun little celeb sighting. But yeah, the night was fun … Darion brought along a new friend named Loy to hang out with us … he was a fun addition to the group :)

Superstar siblings Charlotte, Samantha and Mark Ronson are featured in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine … in their photoshoot, the sisters and brother channel the look of The Royal Tenebaums, behold:

Getting the Ronson siblings together is no easy task. After all, they have made being in demand an art form. Mark, 32, the hotshot music producer responsible for Amy Winehouse’s breakout album and whose own release, Version, went double platinum in the U.K., splits his time between London and New York when he’s not performing with the likes of Duran Duran or Jay-Z. Charlotte, 31, the downtown fashion designer who counts Kate Moss among her following, is busy working on her eponymous label and cohosting charity events. Her twin, Samantha, is an international DJ whose turntable skills are requested everywhere from Bel Air to Mumbai (though recently her most famous asset is Lindsay Lohan, whom she is rumored to be dating). “Not even on the high holiest of Jewish holidays do we all get together,” says Mark wryly. “But we get together individually whenever we can.” Even before tabloid targets Winehouse and Lohan entered the picture, the Ronson family was a source of intrigue. Mother Ann Dexter-Jones is a social darling who married Laurence Ronson, a British real estate heir and band manager, and then eventually remarried to Mick Jones of Foreigner. With the Internet the way it is, one second we’re enemies, one second we’re best friends, one second we’re lovers, and then we’re broken up.” By press time, reports had trickled out on the Web that Samantha had changed her personal status on Facebook to “in a relationship,” while photos of her and Lohan holding hands had circulated. She is accustomed to the speculation. “Even the airport-security guy in Canada asked me, ‘So, is it true?’” laughs Samantha. “It’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, I’m telling you.’” Charlotte adds, “The funniest thing was, I bought a bunch of those tabloid magazines and didn’t even notice that Samantha was on the cover of one.” Lohan, however, is unsurprisingly coy when she replies by e-mail: “I love the Ronsons. First off … I love the pics. Secondly, I had no idea that Charlotte and Samatha were twins. Thirdly, I love all things Ronson. I had the fortune to see Mark Ronson live in concert last Fall and was totally blown away — the man is such a huge talent. I am quite familiar with Samantha‘s DJ stylings and have been a fan of hers for a very long time … that said, I had no idea she was a folk singer. I gotta get my hands on her stuff. I am not all that familiar with Charlotte‘s fashion work but I’m sure she’s quite a talent if Kate Moss is a fan. Another Sunday, another trip to the beach for the McConaughey family. Matthew and his babymama Camila Alves stuffed their newborn son Levi Alves into his baby wrapper and made their way out to the beaches of Malibu, CA this weekend for another fun day of Watch Matthew Surf While We Sit On The Sand. Honestly, the rubber suit is the only thing that makes these pics sorta interesting anymore. Until Matty actually does strap little Levi to the front of his surfboard, there ain’t much more to be had from these sort of pics. Apparently Matthew‘s brother Rooster, his sister-in-law and nephew Miller Lyte (named for the beer, seriously) were in attendance for the beach fun yesterday as well. I must say, tho, that I love that the fam continues to do everything together. It’s still pretty heartwarming.

At last, the tome that Lynne Spears has been working on for the past year (and was due for release months ago but had to be shelved due to daughter Jamie Lynn Spears‘s untimely teenage pregnancy) is finally about to be released … and we now have our first look at the artwork for the new book Through the Storm:

Lynne Spears’ promised book has shaped up to be less of a parenting handbook and more of a juicy memoir of a Southern mother raising a pop star in the midst of paparazzi mayhem. Titled Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, the 272-page book published by Thomas Nelson—and to be released Sept. 16—is sure to be a page-turner. According to prereviews from Barnes & Noble, the book describes how Lynne was an ordinary mother changed by the success of her daughter Britney and how it pushed the family onto the worldwide stage. The book also promises to reveal a rarely glimpsed side of Lynne, her celebrity daughters, son Bryan and ex-husband Jamie. “The stories Lynne shares reveal the heart of a mother who struggles to keep faith at the center of her life through its many unexpected twists and serendipitous turns,” the prereview states. The book retails for $24.99. According to BreatheHeavy.com, a Britney fansite, the publisher says the book sheds light on much more, even touching on Britney’s breakdown, Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy and the infamous Sam Lutfi. This is not Lynne’s first foray into the publishing arena. She coauthored the novel A Mother’s Gift with her daughter in 2001, way back when Britney’s career still seemed like a family blessing.

Oh yeah, this is one celeb memoir I plan on reading. As I understand it, Lynne‘s book was initially supposed to be a parenting guide of some sort but methinks the publisher thought it better to retool the book as a memoir (especially for the flak that she took after it was revealed that Lynne sold the story of Jamie Lynn‘s unwed teenage pregnancy to OK! magazine which prolly didn’t win her any votes for Mother of the Year). I don’t really think this book will be “juicy” per se but I’m sure it’ll have a lot of interesting information for Britney fans like myself to munch on. I know I’ll be reading.
