‘The Dark Knight’ Premieres In Japan

Worldwide domination continues
July 29th, 2008

Christian Bale (with his beautiful wife Sibi by his side), Maggie Gyllenhaal, Aaron Eckhart and director Christopher Nolan were all on hand at the Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo yesterday for the Japanese premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight. Here are a few pics from the red carpet arrivals at yesterday’s premiere:

First, I think it’s amazing seeing Christian Bale smiling again. He looks so happy … even tho I’m sure that the memory of his recent embarrassing incident with his estranged family members is still fresh in his mind, he looks great — as if he’s already moved well beyond that dark incident. I think it’s pretty safe to say that The Dark Knight is pretty much on track to fully conquer the world. It’s already well on it’s way to becoming the most successful film in US box office history (it looks like the Titanic is going to sink again) and is also proving to be a big hit all around the world. I’m anxious to get back to the States to see it again … next time, on IMAX. And the TDK juggernaut rolls on …

Hey Trent! I just saw the Dark Knight on Imax on Saturday up here in Canada (where the technology was invented!!) And let me tell you, it was total freaking awesomness. I totally suggest that anyone who can go see it on Imax, it will blow you away! Fantastic movie all in all. <3 Have a great Eurotrip! <3

So glad to see him smiling too! He and his wife are a purely gorgeous couple. Have you ever seen pics of their daughter? She is only 3, but stunning. Looks just like him. :::::sigh:::::

I guess they’ve been told they no longer have to do the black dress code.

That Maggie! Sometimes she looks so awkward & asymmetrical…and then she can look all gorgeous like this! Beautiful!

Saw it on Imax and it was amazing! Also, just being nit picky but the title is just “The Dark Knight”. No Batman in the title, read somewhere its the only Batman movie with no Batman in the title.

I saw it on Imax and it was just incredible! The scene where he’s on the top of the building in Hong Kong was brilliant in Imax!

TDK in IMAX is incredible. there are many shots of batman gliding off of buildings, and you feel as though you are flying with him. as someone who is deathly afraid of heights, i have never been scared by a movie in this way before. you can usually tell there are cheesy special effects. but with this movie in IMAX, i felt like i was falling off of these buildings! enjoy!
