Woo … I gotta say, I’m really glad that I missed that 5.4 earthquake that hit LA a little bit ago … being all the way in Paris, France I didn’t really feel it ;) but I did get a flurry of email alerts from family, friends and readers. I hope I get home and find everything in my apt. okay … I’m sure it’ll be fine. I would’ve freaked out tho … I’ve yet to endure an earthquake yet … luckily my streak continues.

David, Steph, Alek and I have been having a great time here in Paris thus far in the land of no earthquakes. We spent a lovely afternoon/evening paling around and keeping things fun … here are some of our fun pics from last night:

Alek (or was it Steph, I can’t remember) suggested that we go to a place called RAIDD for an after dinner drink and for a bit of entertainment. The entertainment in question involved a beefy French dude getting completely nude in a shower over the bar and, well, talking a shower. Yeesh … Hollywood is spawing like crazy these days … it’s not enough for celeb couples to have one kid, they have to go and get started on their next kid as soon as they can. Gwen Stefani is a happy spawner (she should be droppin’ her second load any day now) and we know that Angelina Jolie is a happy spawner (and adopter) … it appears that Naomi and Liev Schreiber are lookin’ to build a big family as well. Little Alexander looks exactly like his father … here’s hopin’ the next little bundle of joy looks like Ms. Naomi ;)

The police force of Three Rivers, Michigan were able to do in one night what Batman hasn’t been able to do for his entire career … bust the Joker. Here’s a great story to make all the Michiganders out there be proud of their homestate … a tool named Spencer Taylor was busted in Three Rivers, MI for trying to steal posters and other Batman collectibles from a movie theater showing The Dark Knight. Aptly, the police officers who booked him made sure to get a mugshot of the dork in full Joker make-up:

Meet Spencer Taylor. The Michigan man, 20, was arrested early yesterday morning for allegedly trying to steal Batman posters and other collectibles from a theater showing “The Dark Knight.” As can be seen in the … mug shot, Taylor went to the Three Rivers Cinema multiplex in costume as the Joker. According to cops, he was charged with larceny and malicious destruction of property, and had to pose for booking photos in and out of character.

Christian Bale (with his beautiful wife Sibi by his side), Maggie Gyllenhaal, Aaron Eckhart and director Christopher Nolan were all on hand at the Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo yesterday for the Japanese premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight. Here are a few pics from the red carpet arrivals at yesterday’s premiere:

First, I think it’s amazing seeing Christian Bale smiling again. He looks so happy … even tho I’m sure that the memory of his recent embarrassing incident with his estranged family members is still fresh in his mind, he looks great — as if he’s already moved well beyond that dark incident. I think it’s pretty safe to say that The Dark Knight is pretty much on track to fully conquer the world. It’s already well on it’s way to becoming the most successful film in US box office history (it looks like the Titanic is going to sink again) and is also proving to be a big hit all around the world. I’m anxious to get back to the States to see it again … next time, on IMAX. And the TDK juggernaut rolls on …

Here’s a bit of news that should come as absolutely no surprise whatsoever to anyone who is even remotely familiar with Amy Winehouse … last night the troubled chanteuse was carted away by stretcher to the emergency room of the closest hospital while her poor father, Mitch Winehouse, looked on. Officially her people are saying she suffered a bad reaction to “medication” but they failed to specify what sort of “medication” caused the bad reaction … tho, I have a few guesses, myself:

Amy Winehouse was rushed to the emergency room of a London hospital Monday, her reps say. “Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow,” the singer’s American rep says. The troubled 24-year-old star was taken by ambulance from her home to University College Hospital, her U.K. spokesman Chris Goodman confirms to PEOPLE. No other details were provided.

As of this morning, tho, Amy has already been released … free to terrorize the streets once again:

Amy Winehouse was discharged from hospital this morning after receiving emergency treatment for a adverse reaction to “medication”. A spokeswoman for University College Hospital, where the singer spent the night, said she was ushered out via a private exit shortly after 9.45am. She was said to be in good spirits after a “comfortable night”. The spokeswoman said: “Our doctors decided to keep her overnight for observation. She had a comfortable night and will be discharged today.” Her release comes less than 24 hours after she was stretchered out of her Camden home and rushed to A&E. The singer was seen being wheeled out of her north London home just after 8.40pm by paramedics, her beleaguered father Mitch Winehouse watching on. Paramedics had been called by Mitch after Winehouse reportedly collapse after suffering an episode of “fitting”. Her father blamed the scare on a mistake with her prescription pills, saying: “She’s fine, she just mixed up her medication.”

Uh, yeah … just what sort of medication did she get mixed up? Why is she even taking medication in the first place? How much of the stuff is she taking that A.) there are so many to mix up and B.) would cause such a severe reaction? Any of y’all wanna guess what sort of “medication” Amy swallowed down and caused this episode of “fitting”?

Felicitations! It is my extreme pleasure to report that Mary Lynn Rajskub, the amazing actress who plays dour-mouthed Chloe O’Brien on 24, brought forth the precious fruit from her loins last Thursday … which she immediately named Valentine Anthony. Please join me in a resounding Woot! in celebration of her newborn bundle of joy:

24 star Mary Lynn Rajskub gave birth to a baby boy, Valentine Anthony, Thursday – almost two weeks after her due date, her rep Courtney Knittel confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. “It was like an episode of 24 with the clock ticking,” jokes Rajskub. Valentine, who weighed in at 9lbs., 5oz., is the first child for Rajskub, 37, and her boyfriend Matthew Rolph, 28, a physical trainer. The couple, who met while Rajskub was performing a stand-up comedy gig, disagreed over whether or not to find out the baby’s gender. Rajskub won. “I wanted it to be a surprise,” she says, “and Matthew wanted to find out” … Rajskub, who will return to TV in January for 24′s eighth season, says pregnancy has been, “scary and exciting,” especially given all the advice pals volunteer. “The closer I get to having this child,” she told PEOPLE at her baby shower in June, “the more I’m letting advice go in one ear and out the other. Everyone has their own thing.”

I just absolutely adore Mary Lynn Rajskub and I couldn’t be happier for her and Matthew. I hope she is able to enjoy this time with her baby and can rest up properly … so she can, once again, get back to kickin’ ass on 24 next season ;) Many congrats and much, much love! While Lauren LC Conrad‘s fashions are languishing on the racks at Kitson (not even a Buy One Get On Free sale is able to move LC‘s stuff), I understand that Heidi‘s Heidiwood collection is selling very well. It’s all about promotion and Speidi sure know how to promote themselves. They are so well suited for one another … I fully expect they’ll be together forever … possibly, one day, ruling the world. Are you on Team Heidi? C’mon, there have to be some Hills fans out there who enjoy these two.
