Nine Inch Nails Officially Hit The Road
Nine Inch Nails officially kicked off their Lights in the Sky Tour at the Pemberton Festival in Vancouver, British Coloumbia this past Friday night (after they played a private fans only show in LA as a tour warm-up last week) and by all accounts managed to rock the house. NIN closed out Day 1 of the fest on the mainstage and gave the crowd a performance they won’t soon forget … natch. Here are a few pics from NIN’s set on Friday night:

Check out the Much Music blog to see a couple more NIN pics as well. OMG OMG OMG … I am so excited for this tour! It’s been a very long time since I’ve been able to see NIN on a big stage like this (tho, I was lucky enough to be able to see them do a small club show in Barcelona, Spain last year) so I’m very much looking forward my upcoming Toledo, OH and LA, CA shows. So as not to spoil anything for those of you who want to remain unspoiled, I put the show’s set list under the cut. After the jump, check out the full setlist from this weekend’s show at the Pemberton Festival …
According to the NINheads on Echoing the Sound, this is the setlist that NIN played over the weekend:
999,999
1,000,000
Letting You
Discipline
March of the Pigs
Head Down
The Frail
Piggy
Closer
Gave Up
Corona Radiata
The Warning
The Great Destroyer
Echoplex
Wish
Terrible Lie
Survivalisim
31 Ghosts IV
The Big Comedown
Only
God Given
The Hand That Feeds
Head Like a Hole
Woot! I’m not sure but there may be some space for the setlist to get changed up a bit from show to show … unlike other big name acts, NIN tend to mix up their setlists from time to time … but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. It’s really exciting having the guys back on the road again — it’s been far too long that they’ve been away.

Tanya, thats what I came here to comment on haha…Pemberton does not equal Vancouver!! I thought it was bad when people were saying it was the same as Whistler…we BC locals like to keep things straight :)

Woot! It was one of the best shows I have ever seen. The lights, the songs, the crowd, the mountains – all of it was amazing.
And yes, Pemberton is so not Vancouver. It took me 8 hours to get home today! Ha! It should only take 2, but still.
Anyway, you will love the show Trent!

Awful Awful Awful dud of a show in Seattle on July 26th. More like Depeche Mode, nothing like NIN. Sad.

Sup – Yes, the Pemberton Music Festival was in Pemberton, BC which is 20 minutes outside of Whistler, BC which is a scenic 2 and 1/2 hour drive from Vancouver, BC in decent traffic…Because of the 40,000 people attending the festival it took up to 8 hours to arrive in Pemberton…Anyways still an AMAZING Festival>>>JAY Z>>>COLDPLAY>>>Tragically Hip>>>NERD>>>ETC…great line up…just a bit of a gong show getting in an out of the tiny mountain community…LOVE PINK IS THE NEW BLOG
