As you may recall, I’ve been in the market for a new car for the past couple of months and I think I’ve finally settled on my choice … but because the car is coming straight from the assembly line in Germany (I’m going with another VW) I have to wait until the end of next month for it to arrive here in SoCal. In the meantime, I sold my current Honda Accord to my friend Mark back in Michigan so the car has to be shipped back home. Since I’m basically car-less until the end of next month, I had to rent myself a vehicle to drive around in while I wait … and this is what I ended up with:

It’s hot, huh? This Ford Mustang is brand new, it’s got less than 500 miles on it and it’s all mine for the rest of the week. Since I’m heading off to NYC then Europe for a couple of weeks this Sunday, I’ll have to give it up again … but I think I’m gonna rent it again when I return. I kinda like having my own Batmobile :)
Other than this exciting news … not much else to report. David goes back to NYC tonight and I’ll have a few days to prepare for our excellent London/Paris trip next week! Woot!

Have a fantastic trip Trent! I’ll be in London next Friday for a glorious 12 days!!! I’ll see you there ;-) Wooohooo!
You lead such a fantastic life Trent! I’m so jealous and definately suffer from wanderlust envy.
Oh and cool ride. I cruise around in a black Ford XR8, so I understand your love of the car.
Sweet ride. I can see you driving around with your bat sweater on racing around the streets of LA looking for some crime to stop! Have the best time in London and Paris!
I have to say I’m a bit surprised a Detroit boy is so proudly buying a VW. You should stick with the Mustang :P
Ughg…I’m done with VW after 7 crappy years with my Golf.
Nice ride in the meantime.
Best of luck on your trip.

I 2 wonder way the boy does not support the industry the “D”

i thought all north american vw’s are made in Mexico.
i’m with scdc on that!!!
gas guzzler! let me know if you need me to convince you of how wasteful and expensive that car will be. with these gas prices, i don’t understand how anyone can buy such a pointless vehicle.
The car? Totally, TOTALLY effing hot.
(The richkiss spam attacks? Totally effing NOT hot.)
Bon(er) Voyage, mi amigo ~ keep your eyes peeled in London for Pete Burns and report on his fascinating life if u get the chance…
Oh, and have fun @ the Kylie show (I just read somewhere else today that she’s only 5 feet tall !!! I hope there will be risers on her stage!)

schweinstager:
All the GOOD VWs come from Germany or Canada. There is definitely a lot of production in Mexico but I’ve always been told to avoid any of the models made there (including half of Jettas-if you get a Jetta get a Canada made one). Passats def come from Ger…I know that because I have had 2 and LOVE them. I’ve also had Jettas & Golfs and loved them too.
So TRENT, what model did you get??? VWs are GREAT!!!
Congrats!
“Ford Mustang – BAANG!” – Serge Gainsbourg song. You should play it while your drivin’ your pretty black step-car around ;P Enjoy!
Hoorah for you coming to London :) See you there (we live here!)
seriously wrong that you’re dissing Detroit
