Well, true, if you’re giving the photos ANYWAY, it’s compassionate to give the money to those deserving, BUT y’all aren’t bringing up the fact that it still IS NOT the same thing. The child from the pregnant man will at some point or other, be subject to unfair hatred for how she came into the world. (Which is sad, and completely WRONG.) She has the right to choose who she tells that to. She has the right to her own privacy, especially when she will be ridiculed in a way that a celebrity spawn will never know. You can’t make a parallel out of two different situations. If it were the same thing, as “HeHa” says, then this “man” would be a famous actor/singer/entertainer. He’s famous for simply being transgender, not because of his PROFESSION. So, clearly, it’s not the same thing.

I’m not crazy about celebrities selling their baby photos, but I realize it’s a necessary problem. Their choices are 1-get hounded 24/7 for the first shot of the kid, 2-sell the photos and take the urgency off the shots. I applaud people like “Brangelina” who take the $20 million and give it to truly suffering people. Sure, Nicole Kidmann is right in her feelings about selling the photos…but if you’re going to let people see photos of your child, why not at least care about other people’s children who you can help with the money?

Ummm…how are they doing the same thing? Did “the pregnant man” donate all the proceeds to chairty? Did the “man” directly set up an account for the money he has made off interviews, magazines, talk-shows, etc, to be 100% deposited to orphanages full of starving and neglected children, living in desperate conditions and riddled with diseases? UMM…NO. SO, MAYBE “HeHa” should know what they’re talking about BEFORE they post.

I agree with “BB”. It’s one thing for the “man” and his wife to tell everyone about themselves, it’s something else for them to decide for the kid that everyone know what she looks like and her name. That should be a personal choice, and her parents completely took that choice away from her.

I don’t understand why someone can’t make the CHILD the priority instead of THEMSELF the priority. A woman that wants to be a man? Fine. A man that wants to have a baby? Fine. A man showing himself pregnant? Fine. BUT, it is UNFAIR to SHOW the child and give out HER name. SHE did not choose this. She should be able to have a say in whether or not the ENTIRE WORLD knows her situation. It is selfish to decide FOR HER that you’re going to tell the whole planet. That should have been HER CHOICE to make when she grew up, not someone selfishly making the choice for her.

i don’t get what the big deal is about this story either. yes, thomas is a man — but he was born a WOMAN. the press acted as if he was a natural born man giving birth. it’s really not that big of a shocker.
