One radio station said Jessica Simpson’s father came to her defense and said she wasn’t booed, but actually received a standing ovation and invitation to return to the same country festival next year. Okay, I understand him having to defend her, but the standing ovation comment is a little unbelievably over the line. Besides, don’t they normally stand or sit around on the grass at these things? Did he mistaken that for a standing ovation?
