Kevin Federline Secures Full Custody Of Kids
A surprising development has come about in the on-going custody battle over the Spederline children, Sean Preston and Jayden James. It is being reported that a deal has been struck between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline for sole physical custody of the boys. According to K-Fed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, Britney relented and agreed to let K-Fed have full physical custody of the boys while she agreed to enjoy mere visitation rights. News of this agreement started making the rounds last night, I understand that the parties are meeting in court today to have the judge approve the settlement and finalize the agreement:
According to the agreement, reportedly signed by all parties, Federline retains sole custody of the couple’s two sons, Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2. Spears – who’s currently allowed two visits and one overnight per week – will keep her visitation rights. “The case has been settled,” Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told E! Online. “The court still has to approve it.” Both parties are due in court Friday … However, a judge can always modify custody settlements – and a source close to Spears tells PEOPLE the singer will likely get increased visitation as time goes on. “Until the kids turn 18, we can expect in years to come that Britney and Kevin will be back in court,” says L.A. family lawyer Lynn Soodik, who is not involved with the case. “Britney will have a better chance of winning more custody once she regains her health. This is just the end of Round One.”
This is very shocking news to me. I never anticipated that an agreement like this would be reached so quickly and so easily. The only thing I can assume is that Britney’s legal counsel (you may recall that Laura Wasser rejoined Britney’s legal team) convinced her to allow this settlement to be agreed upon in the hopes that she will prove to the court that she is serious about the children’s welfare and, as she continues to fortify her health, will eventually continue to win back increased visitation and more custody. Even still, I can’t believe that she would agree to this settlement. My guess was that K-Fed would be paid off and would eventually back down. I guess Privé nightclub knew what it was doing when it named Kevin Federline Father of the Year. This deal could be signed, sealed and settled by the court in mere hours. The long-waged Spederline custody battle may be totally finalized today.

K-Fed is the least capable of caring of them! All he does is party and giving the kids to their nanny!

1. She didn’t lose the custody battle. It is NOT PERMANENT.
2. Kaplan should SHUT THE FUCK UP.
3. Britney, I’m more than sure, will fight back when the conservatorship will be over in July (hopefully).
4. That unemployed “ecstatic” father of 4 must get a job and start be at least a quarter the man kaplan is portraiting him.
I support Britney, hope she’s alright. Laura knows what she’s doing.

Britney is a Train-Wreck and should not have custody of a hampster in the current state she’s in. I’m sure her father saw the light and helped persuade her this was the best thing For The Children which is really what it’s all about. And who knows how bad K-Fed is as a dad. I’ve heard he’s quite attentive. At least he’s not flipping out every other day, flashiing his naked crotch to the paps and beinig carted off to a mental health facility. The Right parent got those poor kids.

I don’t understand what everyone is so upset about about Kfed already had full custody of their boys and she was never going to get 50/50 while under a conservatorship and if she went to trail she could lose her vists and overnights with her boo boo’s i’m proud of her for choosing their needs over her own cause this is got to be killing her she really got to focus on getting better if she want’s to be the kinda of mother she should have been. But for right now her babies are with the one person who can really take care of them their NANNY cause you that who’s really looking after sean and JJ

Wow. Kevin has done nothing but PROVE that he had reason to be afraid for his children’s well-being because Britney REALLY WAS going off the deep end, NOT ONCE has asked for more money, spends most of his time at HOME with his children (yes, he occasionally parties, but I think every parent is entitled to an occasional get-away…and at least when he does it his kids are home, safe, instead of in the BACK SEAT like with Britney) and you people STILL won’t admit that he is a GOOD FATHER!!!! Britney is sick. She needed help and Kevin was smart enough to see that his children shouldn’t be in her home while she was acting that way. He seems to have tried to work with her EVERY STEP OF THE WAY and has NOT ONCE bashed her in public!! Way to go Kevin…you’ve proved yourself a true man.

i can’t even hate on kevin, he stepped up when things got rough and became a good parent. he was the only parent those boys knew for awhile, and the kids seem to be doing just fine, i wouldnt mind seeing brit get more time with the kids, shes made major changes in her life. its hard to say who deserves what, when we only get what the media tells us.

@GiGi…I’m thinking the same thing. Perhaps she thinks it’ll be ‘funner’ to visit them sometimes and not have to take care of them 24/7. I bet it’s the cheaper option too, that also lets her focus on her ‘career’.
IMO neither of those two deserve those poor boys. I feel so so sorry for them.

Gigi, that was totally my thought as well. Britney prolly realized that she had kids too young and doesn’t want the responsibility of taking care of them 24/7. She can do what she wants whenever and only has to plan around them a few nights/days a week. Let’s face it, that is MUCH easier than being soley responsible. She wants the easy way out and that doesn’t surprise me in the least!

Brit is not giving up if she doesn’t agree to what she got now they would go to trial and there is no way she would win it and once the court rule the case as final she wouldn’t be able to go to court for modification. This the best option for her now and she can go back to court any time to ask for modification. We don’t know what she was offered so we can judged on end product. She loves her kids, no woman would give her kids up for career. Cut the slut, give her a chance to recover

Well said Bree. I agree, Kevin’s not my kind of guy, but he really has handled this very very well. He has kept the grandparents involved & I’m guessing that Britney would still be spiraling out of control with Sam Lufti medicating her if Kevin hadn’t fought for custody – which was the wake up call. Her parents (ok father) wouldn’t have stepped in and stabilized her. Kevin has been extremely low profile through all of this and I’m impressed – let’s remember that Britney went to the press that he was sleeping with her mother and he didn’t do anything except handle it in court. His lawyer could take some lessons.

If this is true … it’s disturbing. Just because he did (WHAT FATHERS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE) which is take care of their spawn, does not mean he should get sole custody. Britney’s meltdown was actually only a brief period in time and the children are still only young. If Britney was your average broke mother, I believe he would have just walked away from the situation.

You people need to realize that custody arangements are never permanent and can be changed until the children are 18. She is under a conservatorship and would not get custody if this thing went to trial. It would be a waste of time and money. This allows her to get healthy while still being a part of her kids lives. She can and will challenge the custody arrangement when she is well.
