Katie Holmes Gets Some Style, New TV Role
She may have come a long way from her days on Dawson’s Creek but Katie Holmes ain’t ready to retire from television just yet. Katie has agreed to guest star on the ABC show Eli Stone this coming season and will reportedly be doing some singing and dancing on the show. Here are a few pics of Katie with her husband Tom Cruise and her humanlike offspring Suri Holmes-Cruise at a studio here in Hollywood, CA where she is filming her new scenes … homegirl got a new ‘do and Suri got herself a cute little Pucci dress:
Actress Katie Holmes will make a guest appearance on ABC’s critically acclaimed “Eli Stone” this season, returning to U.S. network television in a role that will feature her singing and dancing, network executives said on Wednesday. Holmes, 29, who is married to film star Tom Cruise, is due to shoot the guest spot before she makes her Broadway debut this fall in a revival of Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons,” alongside Dianne Wiest and John Lithgow. ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson, speaking to a gathering of reporters, said Holmes had wanted to reunite with “Eli Stone” executive producer Greg Berlanti, with whom she worked on “Dawson’s Creek,” the TV teen drama that made Holmes famous in the late 1990s. “It’s a really special piece of business,” McPherson said. “Greg came to me with the idea because he really had a creative way to do it. And he and Katie wanted to get back together and do something.” McPherson also acknowledged that bringing Holmes to “Eli Stone” would assist promotional efforts for an offbeat drama that won critical praise but drew modest ratings in its first season. “It’s a great role for her,” McPherson said. “There is some singing and dancing she does. And she’s exquisite.”
Well, I guess it’s a step in the right direction that Tom is letting Katie work again … I’m surprised he’s cool with her doing a TV gig … he must be loosening the leash a little (you may recall that Tom took control of Katie’s career after they got together … he put the kibosh on some of her acting plans and she hasn’t enjoyed a successful project since). Suri, it must be said, looks really cute (and really long) in her little Pucci dress. The little Miss (or whatever she really is) has really shot up — she looks much taller than the last time we saw pics of her. Perhaps she’s hitting a growth spurt … maybe our planet’s sun is having an unforeseen effect on her growth patterns. She is a cutie tho .. that dress looks adorable on her.

Trent, you’ve been watching WAAAAAY too many Golden Girls episodes. That is not style. She must be prepping for a remake as some less stylish and less peppy relative of Dorothy’s crossed with Diane Keaton’s glove fetish. It’s not looking like she’s been rousted from her death-bed for a photo-op as usual, but that is in no way style. On the upside, who knew that Suri’s feet work? She is adorable, but enough with the bottle already. (yes, I’ve seen way to many pics of this little walk to the hearse today).

Awwww, leave little Suri alone. Who cares if she’s drinking from a bottle or a sippy cup. It obviously gives her emotional comfort and Lord knows the kid is gonna need it. She’s adorable, the cutest Hollywood Baby, imo. Tho poor Katie looks as though she’s aged 15 years since hooking up w TC.

^^ The fact that he sues the crap out of anyone that even breathes that they had a liason with him. The fact that the women he has most recently chosen to marry turn into zombies and look like a strong wind would shatter them into a million pieces. His contractual approach to marriage. If he didn’t feel the need to reply to or sue based on any perceived threat to his hetero-ness, the rumors might die down. The rumors have been there almost since the beginning of his career and my (unsupported) guess is that he has chosen the lowest men to dally with so the don’t have the credibility to challenge him.

The gay community is pretty tight – ask anyone ‘in the know’. Info. is passed along rather quickly and is always confirmed. There are many, MANY, MANY homosexuals/lesbians/bisexuals in the Entertainment Industry that no none would EVER guess. Most are married w kids. Alot are even passed off as Ladies Men and Playboys just to divert attention and maintain The Image. I personally know a woman who entered into a Marriage Contract w an actor who no one would ever suspect prefers men. He had to do it ‘cuz his handlers told him if word ever got out his career would be OVER. Now he has his nice Beard and a couple of kids and appears the All American Family Man. Right. But that’s how it’s done. Trust me.

Anyone else wondering why Katie is wearing man jeans, an over-sized sweater and GLOVES in the middle of July???? There is something very strange going on here. Although her face is still absolutely beautiful. Even an awful haircut and outfit can’t hide that. But still…Why the gloves??? There’s gotta be a story there. Poor Katie.
