Christian Bale Speaks, Denies Allegations
Christian Bale, who was arrested and released from police custody in London earlier today, has issued a statement regarding the allegations of assault brought against him by his mother and sister … here is the full text of Christian’s statement that was just released by his attorney:
“Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale.”
Even tho we still do not know exactly what happened, I am a bit relieved that Christian Bale is denying these allegations. Let me be clear, I am not discounting the claims made by his mother and sister and I commend them for speaking up if, in fact, an assault was brought upon them … but I am well aware that there are two sides to every story. They say one thing, he says another. We may never really know what happened with this incident but I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt until we get further deets (if we get further deets). A man is innocent until proven guilty … I’m reserving judgment until all of this plays out.

He’s either a twat and has assaulted his own family, or his family aren’t acting very ‘family’ and trying to make false claims at an oddly convenient time (for money?), against their own flesh and blood.

So they were yelling at each other, big deal. Sounds like it was just verbal assault (reported by other news sites…which you can be punished for verbal assault over there).
Whatever the case, as long as he didnt beat the crap outta mom and sis than I see this as nothing more than just a yelling match, blown out of wack thanks to the media.

I just read that his mother and sister were drunk and rop
insisted that the hotel staff let them into christian’s room to wait for him. When the staff refused they became outraged, caused a scene, and camped out and waited for him to come back. When he did, they began attacking him verbally, telling him that he thinks he is a bigshot and that he “needs to take care of his own.” One of them hit him or something, he tried to get them away from him, self defense, maybe pushed one of them, and then, the next day, they went to the police and pressed charges.
Of course, we have no idea if any of this is true. I read it online on the US site.

Dang! I hope that’s not true Christina but it prolly is. CB never struck me as the sort to resort to violence. That’s sad if that’s the case. This is a big time for him and his family has to go out and get all trashy on him. How freakin’ embarassing.

Actually, the assault charges against him were for VERBAL assault. In London they have two classes of charges for verbal assault, level 4 and level 5 (4 is more aggressive than 5). His mother and sister are also from Wales, a place Bale hasn’t been in years. He moved to live with his father in LA when he was young.

As far as Christian is concerned, I feel the same way. I was absolutely shocked when I heard this and still am. I keep hoping that there really was nothing to it and it was all blown out of proportion. Everything I’ve ever heard or read about CB has always been very positive and that he’s a good, down-to-earth type of person.

I am very glad (and not at all surprised) that the allegations were vehemently denied by Bale and his “people”. I have a strong feeling that while the paparazzi and gossip media will make a huge to-do about the whole she-bang, he will ignore it and avoid discussing it at all costs for the sake of his family (his wife and daughter, clearly not his mom and sister). This is a guy who is so private, he never even officially announced the name, gender, or birth date of his daughter 3 years ago – someone who can walk into a restaurant and people mistake him for Christian Slater (that really happened). He will keep any details as private as possible and continue to be known for his amazing acting abilities and smart choices in film selection, not the gossip surrounding his personal life.
