Christian Bale may be thrilling movie-going audiences this weekend as Batman in The Dark Knight but he’s also about to take on another movie franchise as a different kind of hero. Terminator: Salvation, the 4th movie in the franchise, opens in theaters next summer but the first trailer for the film is showing ahead of showings of The Dark Knight. Here is one of the first promo pics to be released from the film:
Something tells me that Mr. Bale has a hero complex ;) To be honest, I have no problem with Christian playing both Batman and John Connor. The man is a great character actor, I think he’ll be great in the new Terminator movie (movies?). Thanks to the new FOX TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, there is renewed interest and excitement for the franchise. I understand that new eps of The Sarah Connor Chronicles will help link up the TV series to this new movie. What a great way to revive a movie franchise that I had thought was long dead.

how r they going to be related? coz i heard that they r going into two different story lines… but i would have to find the page i read that on to be sure…
Actually they couldn’t link them properly because according to the storyline in the TV show, it skipped T3′s story. They ended up jumping forward, so there really isn’t a way to link them. They’re really have to pull something out of thin air LOL
this movie is going to be amazing. i absolutely love that christian bale is doing these movies. just goes to show that he doesn’t feel like he’s “too good” now or something. says a lot about his character. can’t wait!
Christian Bale is FINE! I loved himin Ring of Fire, too. Def. someone to watch.
Personally, I absolutely LOVED Terminator and Terminator 2– I have ERASED T3 out of my memory completely b/c I did not feel it lived up to the quality storytelling of the first two movies…but I do have a lot of respect for Christian Bale and I believe he might be able to bring back the orginal HEART and SOUL that was present in the first two movies…just wondering– is “King of the World” James Cameron involved in this new flick???

Oh, let me find my BIG bib – Christian Bale is a hunk of a man. I hated him after he did American Psycho ( nasty ass book) until I saw Equilibrium, after that.. who can hate Christian Bale?
Love that Christian Bale is gonna be John Connor. He’ll make the character cool again, just like he did with Batman. :)
Sadly, the movie’s probs not gonna be any good. McG is directing and the guys who wrote Catwoman did the script. James Cameron isn’t involved at all. And they recast Arnold with some other body builder guy named Roland Kickinger. That’s gonna be pretty lame.
I am totally looking forward to seeing the new Terminator… Christian Bale tends to do a great job no matter what role he takes
