All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go
Okay … so I know that Jonathan Rhys Meyers was prolly dressed in costume on his way to film scenes as Henry VIII for his Showtime series The Tudors … but these two pics of the lad in his golden finery immediately had me thinking about a few other possible reasons for his being dressed in this way:

1.) He was late for his shift at Medieval Times
2.) He wanted to see if one could really make an outfit out of an old comforter
3.) He forgot to pick up his dry cleaning; had to wear the only clean thing in his closet
Any other ideas?

I really think the late to his job at Medieval Times really sums it up. Exactly what went through my mind…

That was the only outfit that he could wear those boots with. He loves the knee-highs. :)

Um. It looks like he’s going to work? Granted, he’s not naked, so there’s a bit of a loss, but come on.

I know it’s probably intentional, but The Tudors is in no way anything like the actual Tudor times. Women didn’t shave, people barely washed, and they weren’t as well groomed as the actors are. I think I read in the BBC Radio Times this week that the costumes are pretty much the only thing aligning itself with history in a large degree. The rest of it is sexed up inaccuracies.
