I think we’re all forgetting the point here. It’s not a matter of who is better, Obama or McCain, it’s that our presidential election has turned into an all out circus!! Whether or not it’s done by Barack or John, I think the fact that we’re making COMIC BOOKS about would-be presidents is rediculous!!

What has Obama done to qualify as a “hero”? If a hero is someone who blatantly lies about things he has previously said; someone who refuses to address the US troops with even a hello or a handshake while visiting Iraq recently; someone who wants to raise your taxes and the taxes on small businesses (causing them to fire people because they can’t afford them, therefore increasing the unemployment rate) then yes, Obama qualifies…but that doesn’t sound like a hero in my book.

Lets see: Mcain served in the military.
Obama is black
McCain volunteered for service while his carrier was in dry dock for repairs resulting in his plane being shot down.
Obama is black
McCain was a POW for over 5 years
Obama is black

NK: Have you done any research? While I don’t trust anyone who would claim Obama to be a messiah, he is definitely more promising than the illiterate failure who was elected the last two times, so what are you complaining about?

W had experience as governor of Texas and has arguably done the worst job ever. Why would you require that of the next candidate when it obviously isn’t an automatic sign of their ability to make rational decisions. At least Obama can speak candidly without offending millions or speaking utter gibberish, which is more than I can say for McCain or Bush.

That being said, I think I’m voting for a Triumvirate of the Power Puff Girls! :P

I admit, the people who say, “I’M LEAVIN IF SO-AND-SO WIN” make me lol, just because no one cares and I doubt anyone will do a damn thing in the end.
I’m not crazy about either candidate, nor am I expecting great things out of either of them. I think things will get worse before they get better, no matter who wins.

Really? Since when is Obama a hero? Because his fanatical celebrity following says so? What the hell did he do?

Also, I love his website, It’s all “I will do this…” and “I will do this…” Ummm, you can try. This country has a system of checks and balances. When did Obama become this messiah? He hasn’t proven anything and I don’t think he will prove anything. Not that I give a damn about McCain either.

I agree with FK on this one. If America is SOOOO BAD, then leave.

To MLD, yes I can. He led the Illinois senate to UNANIMOUSLY pass a law that required videotaping of police interrogations. Guarding against police brutality is a highly charged political issue, and is very important for the sanctity of our democracy. Only one example. Do a little research and you’ll find more. Also, oh, I don’t know, coming from nowhere to win the Democratic nomination, funded by small donations from citizens and not taking any money from lobbyists. Oh yeah. And being right about the Iraq War before we entered into it at a time when it was considered political suicide to oppose it. Also, to MEW, well, global warming is something that the vast majority of scientists tell us is taking place based on research and evidence. And wouldn’t it be wonderful if all these people who say they’ll leave if Obama becomes president actually do? I don’t know where they’d go, but it sure would be great.
