Attention Harry Potter fans … the first movie trailer for the sixth Harry Potter film, … And The Half-Blood Prince, is out:

Shia LaBeouf is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Details magazine … and gave the magazine a boon of a selling opportunity by getting himself involved in a car accident (which was initially reported as a DUI incident and has since been downgraded to the ruling that he wasn’t at fault at all) mere moments before the mag hit newsstands — thereby ensuring a few more folks may prolly be inspired to pick up the mag than they might’ve been before his little crash-up, especially when they catch wind that he talks a bit about his penchant for enjoying spirited alcoholic drinks. It’s the perfect coverstar at the perfect time talking about the perfect subject. Here is Shia’s cover and a portion of his Details interview that was conducted and covers incidents before this week’s accident … and I threw in a bit about his luck with the ladies cuz I just can’t see Shia scoring with chicks except for the fact that he’s a movie star:

“We would drink together and smoke together,” LaBeouf says, “and it’s just a bad deal. It’s not something that is conducive to being a role model—no iconic actors that I know of have problems like that. And I don’t know how to do it like a gentleman. I don’t know how to have one drink.” If it sounds like an actor struggling to stay in character, it may be. “I mean, look, you get arrested, it’s out of control. There’s nothing ‘in control’ about the situation,” he says. “It’s not as though things happen to me and I don’t say, never again.” But LaBeouf concedes that sticking to the straight-and-narrow is easier said than done. “I can never say never, because of where I’m at in my life and the vices that I’ve let go of,” he says. “But even when I was drinking, I never missed call times, ever. So now it’s no more alcohol—just Parliament Lights. And women. LaBeouf deems his female situation “extraordinary,” though he refuses to discuss recent rumors tying him to Rihanna and the model Lauren Hastings. “I’m enjoying myself,” he says. “But I’m not great with women, dude. I’m not a closer. I can chat all night long, but I’m not the guy who goes, ‘Okay, back to my room.’ I’ve never been that way—it’s not my presence, I just can’t do it. But it’s not been a priority of mine for a while. That aspect of my life is always going to be there. This”—his self-described “meteoric rise”—”is not always going to be here.”

HMMM … no more alcohol, eh? We’ll see about that. Even tho he may not have been at fault for this latest car accident (by ruling, anyways), it doesn’t really mean that he did no wrong. The police took him into custody for “exhibiting outward signs of intoxication” and I suspect he may exhibit such behavior in the future as well. I kinda hope that he keeps his nose clean as best he can from here on out … all eyes are on him now. Honestly, he doesn’t strike me as the kind of dude who learns lessons easily. The lovely Ms. Nina Garcia, who is currently still one of the main judges on Project Runway, has reportedly started the initial moving in process into her new digs at her new magazine, Marie Claire. You may recall that back in April it was reported that Nina would be exiting her post at Elle magazine at some point this year and we now know that her official first day at Marie Claire will be September 2 … but that doesn’t mean she can’t get in a bit of prep work at her new place of employment before hand, right?

Though Nina Garcia serves as editor at large at Elle through season five of “Project Runway,” it seems she’s already getting a head start on her fashion director duties at Marie Claire. Her new gig officially begins Sept. 2, but sources close to the magazine say Garcia has already moved into her office, the former digs of Tracy Taylor, who was dismissed in May to make way for Garcia. The “Project Runway” judge also is said to be conducting “run-throughs” for fashion shoots for the January issue. Sources said Garcia’s requests for high-end designer wares to be featured in fashion spreads can at times be at odds with Marie Claire’s more mass-market sensibilities. A spokeswoman for Marie Claire said, “Nina is on contract with Elle that prohibits her from working for Marie Claire before Sept. 1. She has been in the office only to work out her travel schedule for the European fashion shows this fall.” Garcia’s move to Marie Claire happened before the “Project Runway” judge finalized her contract to appear on the show’s sixth edition, which will air on Lifetime instead of Bravo. On Friday, a Weinstein Co. spokeswoman confirmed Garcia has re-upped, meaning all of the principals — herself, Michael Kors, Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum — will move to Lifetime with the reality program. Does that mean Marie Claire has been confirmed as the official magazine partner? Sources close to the show say the deal has been done, but the Weinstein spokeswoman declined to confirm Friday.

Seriously, Nina Garcia is one of my fave parts of Project Runway so I’m glad to know that she will still be on board with the show even after it moves to Lifetime. I’m pretty confident that Nina will do well at Marie Claire … she strikes me as a very able magazine person and will prolly soon become a great asset to the mag. I wish her much luck on her new endeavor and look forward to watching her work her magic for Marie Claire.

And so … yet another celebrity fairytale romance comes to a crashing end. US Weekly is reporting that Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have decided to call it quits and terminate their roughly 3-month relationship. They’re dunzo, y’all:

Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong called it quits this weekend after a three-month romance that went public when they were spotted in Austin, Texas in mid-May, Usmagazine.com exclusively reports. “There was no drama or ugliness – They just decided to end things,” a source close to the couple tells Us. “There is no hatred, just sadness.” The pair quickly became inseparable with sightings of them in Austin, New York and Los Angeles – though both dodged questions about their relationship. In the short time they were together, the 29-year-old actress was seen with the 36-year-old cyclist at many of his races and events, including his three-day Lance Armstrong Livestrong Summit in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend. It was at the conference that Hudson and Armstrong decided to go their separate ways, a source tells Us. Each had introduced the other to family. Hudson’s mom Goldie Hawn gave what seemed to be her approval at a July 1 lunch at The Ivy at the Shore. Also, Hudson’s four-year-old son Ryder went to a Father’s Day brunch with Armstrong — and dad Chris Robinson – in June. A rep for Armstrong had no comment while a rep for Hudson could not be reached.

To tell the truth, this particular hook-up lasted longer than I anticipated that it would. I’ve heard that Lance is a bit of a cad, so I’m sure he must’ve been really serious to spend 3 whole months with one chick. Kate, for her part, prolly ain’t hurtin’ for dates … she’s a major hottie who is sure to score a new dude if and when she’s ready. I gotta say, HudStrong did look very cute playing couples tennis together a few weeks ago. Ah well, I guess we’ll just have to pour one out for the late, great HudStrong and carry on as best we can.
