Entertainment Weekly has gone Comic Book/Sci-Fi/Geek crazy in this week’s new issue (which features The Watchmen on the cover). Here are a few promo posters that tease for the new Star Trek prequel that is due to hit theaters next May:

As you can see, by putting the promo posters of Eric Bana (who plays villiain Nero), Zoë Saldana (who plays Uhura), Zachary Quinto (who plays Spock) and Chris Pine (who plays James Kirk) you get the Star Trek insignia — brills! OMG … I just know JJ Abrams is gonna do a kickass job with this movie … I’m sure everything will be handled perfectly. Woot!

OK! magazine posted the last of their exclusive photos of Maddie Briann Spears-Aldridge, including a look at the little tyke’s nursery, on their site — these pics make up the full set of photos from their photoshoot with new mama Jamie Lynn Spears and baby Maddie:

Again, these pics are so cute … much cuter than some of the published photos. Since Maddie‘s birth, mother and daughter have yet to venture out into the big bad world … I suppose it won’t be long until we see these two out in the wild.

First things first, I have to send out much Birthday Lurve to my boy Mike who is celebrating his birthday today :) I know the poor guy has to work today but we’re gonna do our best to help him celebrate in style tonight!!!

Lawd … what a day I had yesterday … without going into the painfully long details, my 2009 VW Tiguan crossover arrived from Germany (finally) and I was able to get the deal done last night, which almost didn’t happen. Basically, there was some confusion about stock — blah blah blah — but after a couple of hours, everything was straightened out and the car is mine. I pick it up in a few hours so I won’t be able to do much more work this afternoon. I’m only running on 4 hours sleep and I still have to pick up my car, meet Darion at the IMAX for another viewing of The Dark Knight and then meet up with peeps for Mike’s birthday celebration tonight.

Last night was fun tho, Darion and I met up at the Arc Light at around midnight to watch The Dark Knight (my review is HERE and found the place bumpin … here are a few pics from last night’s fun:

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Pink readers Kyle and Eileen in the popcorn line before the film (head’s up, you have to check out THIS awesome pic of Kyle‘s wife NicoleLee — she’s a Suicide Girl — doing her best Joker impersonation … it’s a kickass photo but be warned the site is semi-NSFW). The only bummer of the night was about 10 mins. into the film someone pulled a fire alarm and shut down the entire theater! It took about 15 mins. to get the movies going again but the Arc Light told us to save our ticket stubs to see a free movie to make up for it. D and I had fun … tho he had a bit more fun, posing with the costumed fans :)

So yeah … I’ve got a lot to do today … I got a car to start lovin’ up on and a good friend’s birthday to celebrate. Happy Friday!!

For months now Cleveland Browns football stud Brady Quinn has been appearing shirtless in Facebook ads for an online “dating” site which promotes “M4M Cruising Online” … unfortch, his appearance has been totally unauthorized. At last, Quinn had his legal peeps bring action against the “dating” site and has moved to have his image removed from their advertisements. In case you missed it, here is what the M4M ads look like and the photo of Quinn that they used:

NFL baller Brady Quinn wants to make one thing clear: He’ll huddle up with sweaty, muscular men — he just won’t date ‘em. No matter what a gay dating website is leading people to believe. A topless — and really, really hot — photo of the Cleveland Browns quarterback has been used to promote a dating website for months. The only problem — nobody cleared it with Brady! A rep for the Cleveland Browns tells us Brady had no knowledge of the ad saying, “He was not involved in posting photos.” Brady’s lawyer has already taken action and has sent a cease and desist letter to the website today, demanding all photos of him be removed ASAP.

LOL! I’m actually surprised Brady Quinn waited this long to take action. I remember hearing about this M4M thing a couple of months ago. My guess is that the service found his photo online by Google search (much like I found the same photo for use here) and then used it in their ad, most likely unaware that he was anyone famous. No harm, no foul … oh wait, maybe just a little foul for poor Brady … hee hee ;)

BFFs (cuz I’m not exactly sure what else to call them just yet) Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were snapped exchanging poignant goodbyes on the set of Lindsay‘s new movie Labor Pains this past Tuesday afternoon which led me to believe that the ladies might be spending a bit of time apart … it turns out that they weren’t really separated for all that long cuz they flew together to NYC yesterday and hit the town running:

The besties, let’s call them RoLo, managed to evade attention on their flight to NYC by being on the same plane with David Beckham who, according to E!‘s Marc Malkin, got all the attention from the paps and the common folk (which I’m sure RoLo didn’t mind). The gals did show up, hand-in-hand, at the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Sephora Celebrates Ten Years Of Gorgeous event in NY last night … lookin’ as happy as can be together. Again, I have to say that I’ve never seen Lindsay look so happy, like ever, as she is when she’s with Samantha. I am very hesitant to make assumptions about their relationship. There are many signs pointing to the belief that the two are very close but I’m not quite comfortable making assumptions about any supposed romantic involvement — there are enough folks doing that already, I don’t need to add to the mix. It’s clear that, at the very least, Lindsay and Sam are really good, really close friends and they seem very, very happy together. Whatever it is that they’ve got going on, I’m thrilled for them both :)

Zac Efron, the lucky bastard who got to get up close and personal with David Beckham at this week’s ESPY Awards here in LA, has already made his way across the country to NYC. Zac surfaced at JFK airport with hoodie in place and skateboard in hand:

You know, I’d like to believe that Zac Efron so loves the sport of skateboarding that he cannot stand to be parted from his beloved wheels for even a moment but I can’t help but think that his whole image is so carefully orchestrated. Something about this lad and his trusty skateboard just screams High School Musical 3, Coming Soon. I dunno … maybe I’m off base but the carefree teen boy lookin’ as casual as can be feels a bit disingenuous. I’m surprised he doesn’t have a slingshot sticking out of his back pocket. I think he should go back to just showing off his new muscley arms instead of playing up this boyish charm thing. At least that way, we’d all get something out of it.

Knight and his boyfriend Mark Cornelsen enjoying a lovely sunny afternoon together, with their dog, at Toast here in LA. I believe this is the first time we’ve seen this cute couple actually smoochin’ in public, which is just too precious for words, behold:

I’m not usually a fan of PDA but these two are SOOO CUTE! The boys enjoyed a lovely lunch together at Toast before doing a bit of pet shopping for their pooch nearby. It just warms the cockles of my heart to see these two so in lurve. They make a such a great couple, don’t you think?

OY! So, Darion and I made our way out to a midnight screening of Batman: The Dark Knight last night/this morning which, after it was all said and done, had me in bed around 4AM this morning. After the long afternoon/evening/night I had last night (long story short, my VW arrived, it’s a done deal, I take possession this afternoon) I’m pretty wiped right now … but a movie like The Dark Knight needs immediate exposition (as I’m sure the many of you who also saw it last night can attest) so I’m gonna go ahead an post my thoughts on the movie now:

As you can imagine, I really enjoyed the film and you can read my spoilery thoughts and observations after the cut but I have to make clear before I get into the film itself that all the talk that we are hearing about Heath Ledger‘s performance in the film is absolutely right on target — the man gives a stunning performance, hand’s down. Whether or not it’s Oscar worthy is another question but he absolutely becomes the psychotic villain of the darkest Batman lore — this movie is NOT TO BE MISSED. A surprising development has come about in the on-going custody battle over the Spederline children, Sean Preston and Jayden James. It is being reported that a deal has been struck between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline for sole physical custody of the boys. According to K-Fed‘s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, Britney relented and agreed to let K-Fed have full physical custody of the boys while she agreed to enjoy mere visitation rights. News of this agreement started making the rounds last night, I understand that the parties are meeting in court today to have the judge approve the settlement and finalize the agreement:

According to the agreement, reportedly signed by all parties, Federline retains sole custody of the couple’s two sons, Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2. Spears – who’s currently allowed two visits and one overnight per week – will keep her visitation rights. “The case has been settled,” Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told E! Online. “The court still has to approve it.” Both parties are due in court Friday … However, a judge can always modify custody settlements – and a source close to Spears tells PEOPLE the singer will likely get increased visitation as time goes on. “Until the kids turn 18, we can expect in years to come that Britney and Kevin will be back in court,” says L.A. family lawyer Lynn Soodik, who is not involved with the case. “Britney will have a better chance of winning more custody once she regains her health. This is just the end of Round One.”

This is very shocking news to me. I never anticipated that an agreement like this would be reached so quickly and so easily. The only thing I can assume is that Britney‘s legal counsel (you may recall that Laura Wasser rejoined Britney‘s legal team) convinced her to allow this settlement to be agreed upon in the hopes that she will prove to the court that she is serious about the children’s welfare and, as she continues to fortify her health, will eventually continue to win back increased visitation and more custody. Even still, I can’t believe that she would agree to this settlement. My guess was that K-Fed would be paid off and would eventually back down. I guess Privé nightclub knew what it was doing when it named Kevin Federline Father of the Year. This deal could be signed, sealed and settled by the court in mere hours. The long-waged Spederline custody battle may be totally finalized today.
