Folks may think that David is a lucky little boy for being adopted by Madonna but I think she’s a very lucky lady to have adopted such a great little kid.

She may have come a long way from her days on Dawson’s Creek but Katie Holmes ain’t ready to retire from television just yet. Katie has agreed to guest star on the ABC show Eli Stone this coming season and will reportedly be doing some singing and dancing on the show. Here are a few pics of Katie with her husband Tom Cruise and her humanlike offspring Suri Holmes-Cruise at a studio here in Hollywood, CA where she is filming her new scenes … homegirl got a new ‘do and Suri got herself a cute little Pucci dress:

Actress Katie Holmes will make a guest appearance on ABC’s critically acclaimed “Eli Stone” this season, returning to U.S. network television in a role that will feature her singing and dancing, network executives said on Wednesday. Holmes, 29, who is married to film star Tom Cruise, is due to shoot the guest spot before she makes her Broadway debut this fall in a revival of Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons,” alongside Dianne Wiest and John Lithgow. ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson, speaking to a gathering of reporters, said Holmes had wanted to reunite with “Eli Stone” executive producer Greg Berlanti, with whom she worked on “Dawson’s Creek,” the TV teen drama that made Holmes famous in the late 1990s. “It’s a really special piece of business,” McPherson said. “Greg came to me with the idea because he really had a creative way to do it. And he and Katie wanted to get back together and do something.” McPherson also acknowledged that bringing Holmes to “Eli Stone” would assist promotional efforts for an offbeat drama that won critical praise but drew modest ratings in its first season. “It’s a great role for her,” McPherson said. “There is some singing and dancing she does. And she’s exquisite.”

Well, I guess it’s a step in the right direction that Tom is letting Katie work again … I’m surprised he’s cool with her doing a TV gig … he must be loosening the leash a little (you may recall that Tom took control of Katie’s career after they got together … he put the kibosh on some of her acting plans and she hasn’t enjoyed a successful project since). Suri, it must be said, looks really cute (and really long) in her little Pucci dress. The little Miss (or whatever she really is) has really shot up — she looks much taller than the last time we saw pics of her. Perhaps she’s hitting a growth spurt … maybe our planet’s sun is having an unforeseen effect on her growth patterns. She is a cutie tho .. that dress looks adorable on her.

Casper Van Dien reprises his role as Colonel Johnny Rico in the straight-to-DVD movie Starship Troopers 3: Marauder which is scheduled for release on August 5 but a few very hot, mostly nekkid screencaps from the film have already made their way to the InterWeb. As you can see … this new movie looks to be relying on beefcake nekkidness to try and drum up sales of this DVD. I, for one, am appalled that producers would go to such lengths … after all, what do they take us for … mindless gawkers who are only interested in seeing bare flesh in movies? TMZ has further information on the arrest of Andy Dick and also has a few photos of Andy’s raucous behavior inside Buffalo Wild Wings last night … behavior which led to his arrest early this morning:

We’re told the wackadoodle arrived around 10 PM, began drinking and became extremely obnoxious, trying to give customers lap dances. Try getting that out your clothes! We hear Dick showed up with a friend, but they ended up leaving him … Around 1:15 AM this morning cops tell us they responded to a report of a person peeing in the parking lot outside the wing joint, causing a disturbance. Once there, they stopped a van and found Dick in the passenger seat. He was arrested for allegedly groping a 17-year-old girl’s breasts and pulling her top down. When he was searched, cops say they found weed and one Xanax in his front pants pocket.

Now this is really sad … and it’s not even the first time we’ve heard about this sort of drunken behavior from Andy Dick (I seem to recall that he was arrested for urinating in public before). It’s bad enough that he has to embarrass himself in public but to impose his deplorable behavior on others is just gross. I understand that Andy Dick has already been released on $5,000 bail … folks in the area might way to beware.

Boo. Last night David flew back to NYC and this morning my trusty Honda got shipped back to Detroit and I’m left here all alone. Well, not for long … I’ll be heading off to NYC at the end of this week and then David and I will be heading to Europe so I shant be lonely for long. After I dropped David off at the airport, I grabbed a quick bite to eat before meeting up with Jordan at the Arc Light to see The Wackness:

Let me tell you … this is a great movie. I was intrigued when I first heard about this nostalgic “period piece” that is set in 1994 so I had to make sure to check it out. I cannot even tell you how impressed I was with the strong acting performances in this film. It should come as no surprise that Ben Kingsley was phenomenal (he really was) but I was very impressed with both Josh Peck (who looks like a young mixture of Jesse Bradford and Milo Ventimiglia) and Olivia Thirlby. The each gave really strong, really believable performances. If Juno was able to score Oscar noms then the same should hold true for this film. I enjoyed Josh Peck’s performance much more than Ellen Page’s performance. I hope this movie finds its audience, it’s really a great film. I wasn’t too keen on the OVERT references to all things 90’s (well, maybe that’s not entirely true … the 90’sness was funny but sometimes a bit much) but I did laugh out loud at the Reebok Pump and Gameboy cameos in the film. The muted color of the movie did give it that “old” look, which is a bit disturbing since 1994 wasn’t all that long ago. I wasn’t at all impressed with Mary-Kate Olsen’s bit in the film … she was totally forgettable … but absent that, the movie is really solid. Great acting, great story. The sex scene was just perfect … awkward, funny and real. Both Jordan and I really loved this movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, you must … don’t wait for DVD, see it in the theater — I promise you won’t be disappointed.

This afternoon, I’m meeting up with Darion and Kirsten for a little outing that we’ve been planning. I’m not gonna spill the deets just yet but, if all goes well, I should have some fun ass pics to post tomorrow :)

Since In Touch Weekly managed to get the scoop on the birth of the Brangelina twins, Vivienne Marcheline & Knox Leon, and since it is believed that People magazine (or possibly OK! magazine) purchased the rights to the first photos of the twins, there ain’t much left for the other mags to utilize for their publications … which is why Star magazine put the first born child to spring from Angelina Jolie’s loins on the cover of this week’s issue. I gotta say, they managed to come up with the freakiest photo of Shiloh Nouvel yet … check it out:

She’s a big sister now! And Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was on her best — and sweetest — behavior when she was introduced to her new twin siblings the day after their emotional delivery on July 12. As her weary parents, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, beamed with pride, the wide-eyed 2-year-old greeted tiny brother Knox Leon and sister Vivienne Marcheline with smiles and kisses. “They weren’t planning on having Shiloh see Angie and the babies so soon, but she couldn’t sleep or eat until she saw her Mommy,” an insider tells Star. As Angie, 33, held the newborns, Shiloh first stared then smiled. She was put on the bed next to them and kissed them on the forehead.

Yeah, yeah … cute story but what is up with this picture of Shiloh? She doesn’t look real … in fact, she looks a lot like the American Girl doll Kit Kittredge. I hope it’s just a matter of heavy Photoshopping … cuz Shiloh really does look like an animatronic doll. She even makes Suri Holmes-Cruise look human. Now that’s scary!
