Possibly filming a scene for Madonna's new 'Sticky & Sweet' World Tour
Guess Who’s In An Elevator

Okay … so this isn’t really a Guess Who post … I think it’s safe to say that everyone would be able to guess that the following photos are of Britney Spears filming her much baley-hooed video scenes for Madonna‘s upcoming Sticky & Sweet World Tour:

Apparently E! got the first footage of Britney filming these scenes, footage which natch has already made its way to the InterWeb. Those of you who don’t want to be spoiled should refrain from reading the rest of this post. After the jump, check out two more pics of Britney in the elevator shooting her scenes …

Age is just a number
Britney & Lynne Spears Do Some Bonding

Britney and Mama Lynne Spears have been spending quite a bit of time together since Lynne‘s arrival in SoCal last week (she arrived in LA a few weeks after the birth of Jamie Lynn‘s first child last month). Lynne, lookin’ really supertanned and rockin’ some new highlights, has been by Britney‘s side since her arrival last Wednesday and was present when Britters enjoyed an overnight visit with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James this weekend. Here are a few pics of Britney and Lynne enjoying some bonding time this weekend while shopping:

It was a family affair Saturday as Lynne Spears hung out with Britney and her sons Preston and Jayden for an overnight visit at the star’s Studio City home. In town since Wednesday, Lynne and Britney have been enjoying some mother-daughter bonding, shopping at the True Religion warehouse and Pottery Barn on Friday before enjoying a “girls dinner” of salad, sushi rolls, and fish at Bond St. restaurant with two of Britney’s pals. “Britney walked in with a big smile and introduced her mom to the staff,” says an observer. “She looked gorgeous, and I have never seen her in a better mood. She was laughing the whole time she was here. Britney seemed to have the best time hanging out with her mom and friends.”

I guess it was Papa Jamie Spears‘s weekend off (it must be tiring being Britney‘s full-time conservator) because he spent the weekend at his new Santa Monica home. It looks like Lynne is really feeling good about herself … a new tan, a new haircut with highlights (mebbe she and Jamie Lynn went to a salon for their buy one, get one free highlighting event?) — a new lease on life! I wonder if some of that $1 million bucks from OK! magazine is being used for more than diapers and baby formula. In any event, it’s great seeing mother and daughter enjoying one another’s company.

Practice Safe Crime-Fighting
For Your Protection

One of the full-size, official rubber Batman costumes, worn by Christian Bale during the filming of Batman: The Dark Knight, is currently on display at the Toys R’ Us store in Times Square, NYC … here are a few pics of the exhibit:

This display at Toys ‘R Us also features a scaled down original prop of the Batmobile but I’d be more interested in seeing this full size rubber suit … the suit that Christian Bale had to squeeze his lithe body into day in and day out for months at a time … probably sweating inside all the while. HMMMM. It’s an intriguing notion, don’t you think? I understand that the Arc Light theater here in Hollywood will also feature a Batman costume display which I plan on getting as close to as possible when I see the movie later on this week. Hey, I’m just sayin’.

The break-up was mutual
Sarah Silverman & Jimmy Kimmel Are Dunzo!

Sad break-up news today … Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel have released the bummer news that they have ended their 5 year relationship. Speaking thru their representatives, the couple revealed that they are dunzo:

Sad news for comedy and monogamy fans: late night talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel and his girlfriend of five years, comedienne Sarah Silverman, have broken up … Kimmel’s rep Lewis Kay and Silverman’s rep Amy Zvi both confirmed that Jimmy and Sarah are no longer dating and issued a joint statement that “Jimmy and Sarah have and will have no further comment.”

Boo! I really liked these two together … could it be that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have really come between them? Possibly, but US Weekly is reporting that Sarah was seen over the weekend with “a male friend”:

Silverman, 37, was spotted at Hugos in West Hollywood on Saturday with a male friend. “She really looked like she was in good spirits,” an observer tells Us. “She was laughing and smiling. Very animated.” But a few minutes later, Silverman – who ate organic quinoa topped with fresh fruit – grew somber and became enthralled in a heart-to-heart conversation with her pal. “She was talking and it looked like he was listening and then advising her,” the onlooker tells Us. “This went on for around 20 minutes” … Kimmel, 40, and Silverman celebrated their five-year anniversary in February by creating parodies for his show about sleeping with half of Hollywood Silverman began the faux rivalry with her tune, “”I’m F—king Matt Damon.” Kimmel joked to Us at the time that he “hope[s] they’re happy together!” Kimmel got his revenge with “I’m F—king Ben Affleck” — starring Brad Pitt delivering a FedEx package, Harrison Ford blowing the couple a kiss and Cameron Diaz making obscene gestures. The pair met during a roast for Hugh Hefner, where Silverman told the audience he was fat and joked he had no charisma — but that didn’t stop them from working together.

Again, this is really bummer news … they seemed really suited for one another. I guess laughter can’t fix all probs :(

The TV Guide
Hell Is For Children; ‘Hellboy II’ Is For Hardcore Fans

After the amazing birthday afternoon/evening I spent with my friends on Saturday I wasn’t really expecting much more … but David surprised me with an 80-minute massage at Kinara yesterday afternoon which was the PERFECT way to round out the weekend. He and I spent the afternoon at the spa and then grabbed an early dinner at Rock Sugar before heading out to see Hellboy II: The Golden Army last night:

Okay, right off the bat let me stress that I loved the movie, I think that Guillermo del Toro is an amazingly talented movie director and I would recommend this movie to any fans or potential fans of Hellboy. All that said, I wasn’t entirely thrilled with the way the story itself was portrayed. Let’s get the negatives out of the way first … I didn’t at all care for the “flashback” scene at the start of the film that showed Hellboy as a little kid. It felt really hokey and cheesy. I get that it was the way to feature his father the professor but I didn’t care for it … I did like the storybook retelling of the origins of the golden army tho. From that point on, I wasn’t really on board with the way the tale was told … unlike the first Hellboy movie, this one seemed less serious (I realize it’s a comic book movie but I loved the tone of the first movie). This one felt really … forced … and too obviously trying to be cute. Other than that, tho, I loved the rest of the film. The creatures were so cool … del Toro is such a visionary director. His creatures seem to have that George Lucas feel to them … with enough movies under his belt, his brand of creatures will be very recognizable as his own. I really liked the tooth fairies and the baby tumor — that actually made me guffaw out loud in the theater. The special effects were stunning … that Nature God that attacked NY as just beautiful. del Toro has a vivid imagination … it’s a wonder being able to see his creations come to life on the big screen.

Again, I wasn’t all that happy with the telling but the movie was very good. David didn’t see the first movie and isn’t at all familiar with Hellboy and he enjoyed it for the most part. Fans shouldn’t miss it … but new folks who might be interested should see the first movie before this one. It’s not that you need to see the first one to understand the second one … it’s just that the first one will really make you a fan, maybe moreso than just seeing this new movie might.

I still get to enjoy David’s company for one more night tonight … not sure if we’re going out at all … this will be my last week here in LA before I head off to NY and then we head off to London and Paris for my birthday trip :) Woot!

Sarah & Jimmy are dunzo, Shania is singin' the blues, Whoopi joins 'Xanadu'
Casey Aldridge keeps his options open
Job Opportunities

Casey Aldridge was spotted paying a visit to his friendly neighborhood Burger King over the weekend after he dropped off his babymama Jamie Lynn Spears at the medical clinic for a post-baby check-up …

TMZ has got the video HERE. Casey Aldridge + Burger King = the jokes kinda write themselves.

WTF? Who knew the Farmers Market was LA's newest hot spot
Doogie Howser, M.D. Does The Farmers Market

Despite the fact that Neil Patrick Harris currently enjoys relative fame as Barney Stinson on the CBS hit show How I Met Your Mother I continue to see him as Doogie Howser, M.D. … which is why I think it’s hilarious that Neil was also spotted at the Farmers Market this weekend, much like his former-teen star compatriot Joey Lawrence was … here are a few pics:

Unfortch, NPH wasn’t at the Farmers Market with any cute babies … he wasn’t even there with his hottie boyfriend David Burtka (who hails from Dearborn, MI y’all). Just Neil … flyin’ solo … enjoyin’ some fresh squeezed lemonade. It’s a shame Doog, I mean, Neil wasn’t chillin with his former castmate Max Casella (who played Vinnie Delpino on Doogie Howser, M.D.) cuz a reunion of these two — at the Farmers Market — would’ve ruled the world! Ah well … mebbe next time.

Apparently he goes by "Joseph" or "Mr. Clean" now
Joey Lawrence Lives; Shops The Farmers Market

Whoa! How’s this for another blast from the pastJoey Lawrence, who got his start in Hollywood by appearing on Gimme A Break! with the late Nell Carter before finding teen stardom as Joey Russo on Blossom, also popped up in the LA area over the weekend. Here are pics of Joey, wearing a plunging neckline and a totally bald head, with his wife Chandie and his daughter Charli enjoying a nice day at the Farmers Market this weekend:

Joey hasn’t been keeping a very high profile these days … much like former teen star Ian Ziering did, he did appear on Dancing with the Stars (which is a bastion for washed-up actors to try and enjoy the spotlight again). He also enjoyed a stint on Broadway playing (a bald) Billy Flynn in Chicago. Most recently, Joey appeared in a few eps of CSI: New York playing a creepy rapist/killer named Clay Dobson. Eh … I guess he has been keeping himself bizzy over the past few years. I just can’t get used to Joey‘s newish look (he’s actually been rockin’ this Mr. Clean-look for many years now) despite the fact that he’s rockin’ a hot bod … I miss the days when he was a burgeoning popstar wannabe with a full head of lush hair — I’m sure many of you weren’t aware that Joey released a pop album back in 1993 … check out his song Nothin’ My Love Can’t Fix (an uptempo pop track complete with a rap interlude — seriously). He’s come a long way from his hey day. It’s nice to see that he’s got himself a nice family and that he’s still around should any Hollywood producers want to come calling. You can prolly find him at the Farmers Market on any given Sunday.

UPDATE: After the jump, check out Joey‘s 1993 music video for his song Nothin’ My Love Can’t Fix

Jason Priestley shuns '90210' for Sherman Oaks
From ‘Beverly Hills’ To The Valley

With all the hype surrounding the new Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off show set to debut this Fall on The CW (especially considering that the 3 main girls from the original series have signed on to appear on the new show) you might expect there to be more talk about the BH, 90210 boys as well. Unfortch for all you Brandon Walsh fans, Jason Priestley has revealed that he will not be reprising his role as Brandon on 90210 when it debuts this Fall … but he does add that he may be up for directing an episode or two. Jason popped up over the weekend with his wife Naomi Lowde and his daughter Ava at the Fashion Square Mall in Sherman Oaks, CA … here are a few pics:

Bad news “90210” fans, it seems Jason Priestley will not be returning to the halls of West Beverly as blue-eyed man candy Brandon Walsh, in the new version of the show. “I think I sort of ran the gamut with Brandon — 249 episodes” Priestley told “Access Hollywood” on Thursday, while promoting the episode he directed of ABC’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” “I think Brandon did his time.” Priestley confirmed he had been asked to reprise his role as Brenda Walsh’s twin brother on the CW’s version of “90210.” While he declined the offer, he may return behind the scenes — as a director. “They’re talking to my people about seeing if they can slot me in over there,” he said. “I directed more episodes of ’90210′ than anybody. I directed 18 episodes.” With his former co-worker Jennie Garth set to return and Shannen Doherty in talks to head back to Beverly Hills, Priestley was excited by the idea of potentially directing his old castmates. “That would be fun! That would be a ton of fun,” Priestley enthused. “That would be awesome to see.”

HMMM. I just don’t understand the mentality that “Brandon did his time”. I can’t believe that Jason Priestley wouldn’t be up for doing a cameo or two on the show. There seems to be this erroneous belief that the old BH, 90210 characters are being asked to fully reprise their roles for the duration of the show — the new show is not about them. The alums will prolly show up in an ep or two and that’s that. Folks expecting the new 90210 to be a high school reunion of the old gang are going to be disappointed. I just don’t understand Jason‘s refusal to tape a cameo or two (that is, unless he wasn’t really asked and is just trying to save face). That being said, Jason Priestly was on the original show for many, many years (well past the show’s prime, I might add) … I *guess* I can *kinda* see his point, if true, of not wanting to step back into those shoes. I’m not a huge Jason Priestley fan or anything but I do think it’d be cool to see him pop up on 90210 again. Additionally, there has been ZERO talk about Luke Perry reprising his role as Dylan McKay, Ian Ziering reprising his role as Steve Sanders or Brian Austen Green reprising his role as David Silver — tho he stands the best chance at making an appearance on the spin-off … David Silver is married to Donna Martin (Tori Spelling‘s character) and she is slated to appear on the show. Maybe her hubby will, too? Poor Ian Ziering … his comeback revival might’ve peeked with his appearance on Dancing with the Stars a couple of seasons ago. Couldn’t the new 90210 producers throw the guy a bone? I could buy that Steve Sanders would be sad enough to still want to hang out with the new class of youngsters at West Beverly High … maybe he could work with Nat at the Peach Pit?
